⁹ To my mare among the chariots of Pharaoh I liken you, my dearest."

²⁸ And the outgoing of the horses that king Solomon has [is] from Egypt, and from Keveh; merchants of the king take from Keveh at a price;"

¹⁴ and Solomon gathers chariots and horsemen, and he has a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, and he places them in the cities of the chariots, and with the king in Jerusalem. ¹⁵ And the king makes the silver and the gold in Jerusalem as stones, and the cedars he made as sycamores that [are] in the low country, for abundance. ¹⁶ And the source of the horses that [are] to Solomon [is] from Egypt and from Keva; merchants of the king from Keva take at a price, ¹⁷ and they come up, and bring out from Egypt a chariot for six hundred silverlings, and a horse for fifty and a hundred, and so for all the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of Aram--by their hand they bring out.

¹⁵ How lovely you are, my dearest! How lovely you are; your eyes are like doves!"

² Like an anemone among the thistles, So is my dearest among the daughters."

¹⁰ My darling answered and said to me:Arise, you, my dearest! My lovely one, now go you forth!"

¹³ The fig tree flavors its green figs, And the vines give scent to the vine blossoms. Arise, you, my dearest! My lovely one, now go you forth!"

¹ How lovely you are, my dearest! How lovely you are! Your eyes are doves behind your face veil; Your hair is like a drove of goats that streams down from Mount Gilead;"

⁷ All of you is lovely, my shepherdess, And there is no blemish in you."

² I was asleep, yet my heart was aroused; The sound of my darling knocking! Open to me, my sister, my dearest, My dove, my flawless one, For my head is filled with night mist, My locks with moisture of the night."

⁴ You are lovely, my dearest, as Tirzah, Comely as Jerusalem, Majestic as standard bearers."

¹ Woe to those going down to Egypt for help! On horses are they leaning, and trusting in chariots, for they are many, and on horsemen, for they are very staunch. And they do not heed the Holy One of Israel, and of Yahweh Elohim they do not inquire."

¹⁴ You are My friends, if you should be doing whatever I am directing you." ¹⁵ No longer am I terming you slaves, for the slave is not aware what his lord is doing. Yet I have declared you friends, for all that I hear from My Father I make known to you."
