Romans 7:7 Cross References - CLV

⁷ What, then, shall we declare? That the law is sin? May it not be coming to that! But sin I knew not except through law. For besides, I had not been aware of coveting except the law said, "You shall not be coveting."

⁶ And seeing is the woman that the tree is good for food, and that it brings a yearning to the eyes, and is to be coveted as the tree to make one intelligent. And taking is she of its fruit and is eating, and she is giving, moreover, to her husband with her, and they are eating."

¹⁷ You shall not covet the house of your associate. You shall not covet the wife of your associate, his field, his servant or his maidservant, his bull, his donkey or anything which is your associate's.

²¹ You shall not covet the wife of your associate. You shall not lust after the house of your associate, his field, his servant or his maidservant, his bull, his donkey or anything which is your associate's.

²¹ and I see among the spoil a goodly robe of Shinar, and two hundred shekels of silver, and one wedge of gold, whose weight [is] fifty shekels, and I desire them, and take them; and lo, they [are] hid in the earth, in the midst of my tent, and the silver under it..

¹ And it comes to pass, after these things, a vineyard has been to Naboth the Jezreelite, that [is] in Jezreel, near the palace of Ahab king of Samaria, ² and Ahab speaks unto Naboth, saying, `Give to me your vineyard, and it is to me for a garden of green herbs, for it [is] near by my house, and I give to you in its stead a better vineyard than it; if good in your eyes, I give to you silver--its price.. <sup>3</sup> And Naboth said unto Ahab, `Far be it from me, by Yahweh, my giving the inheritance of my fathers to you;. ⁴ and Ahab comes in unto his house, sulky and wroth, because of the word that Naboth the Jezreelite has spoken unto him when he said, `I do not give to you the inheritance of my fathers,' and he lies down on his bed, and turns round his face, and has not eaten bread.

⁷ The law of Yahweh is flawless, restoring the soul; The testimony of Yahweh is faithful, making wise the simple;" ⁸ The precepts of Yahweh are upright, rejoicing the heart; The instruction of Yahweh is pure, enlightening the eyes;" ⁹ The fear of Yahweh is clean, standing unto the future; The judgments of Yahweh are truth; they are righteous altogether:" ¹⁰ Coveted more than gold, and more than much glittering gold, And sweeter than honey and drips of the combs." ¹¹ Moreover, Your servant is being warned by them; In the keeping of them is a great consequence." ¹² Who can detect inadvertent errors? From those concealed to me, hold me innocent."

⁹⁶ I have seen the end of every aspiration, Yet Your instruction is very wide."

² And they covet fields and snatch them, and houses, and bear them away, and they extort the master and his house, the man and his allotment."

²⁸ Yet I am saying to you that every man looking at a woman to lust for her already commits adultery with her in his heart.

¹⁵ Now He said to them, "See and guard against all greed, for one's life is not in the superfluity of his possessions."

³³ I covet no one's silver or gold or vesture."

⁵ Now if our injustice is commending God's righteousness, what shall we declare? Not that God Who is bringing on indignation is unjust! (As a man am I saying it.)"

²⁰ because, by works of law, no flesh at all shall be justified in His sight, for through law is the recognition of sin."

¹ What, then, shall we declare that Abraham, our forefather, according to flesh, has found?

¹⁵ for the law is producing indignation. Now where no law is, neither is there transgression."

¹⁵ What then? Should we be sinning, seeing that we are not under law, but under grace? May it not be coming to that!"

⁵ For, when we were in the flesh, the passions of sins, which were through the law, operated in our members to be bearing fruit to Death."

⁸ Now Sin, getting an incentive through the precept, produces in me all manner of coveting. For apart from law Sin is dead."

¹¹ For Sin, getting an incentive through the precept, deludes me, and through it, kills me."

¹³ Became good, then, death to me? May it not be coming to that! But Sin, that it may be appearing Sin, is producing death to me through good, that Sin may become an inordinate sinner through the precept."

⁹ For this: "You shall not commit adultery,you shall not murder,you shall not steal,you shall not testify falsely,you shall not covet,and if there is any other precept, it is summed up in this saying, in this: "You shall love your associate as yourself."

⁵⁶ Now the sting of Death is sin, yet the power of sin is the law."

³ Now, all prostitution and uncleanness or greed - let it not even be named among you, according as is becoming in saints -"

⁵ Deaden, then, your members that are on the earth: prostitution, uncleanness, passion, evil desire and greed, which is idolatry,

⁵ not in lustful passion even as the nations also who are not acquainted with God.

¹⁵ Be not loving the world, neither that which is in the world. If ever anyone is loving the world, the love of the Father is not in him, ¹⁶ for everything that is in the world, the desire of the flesh, and the desire of the eyes, and the ostentation of living, is not of the Father, but is of the world."
