² And he cries with a strong voice, saying, "It falls! It falls! Babylon the great! And it became the dwelling place of demons and the jail of every unclean spirit and the cage of every unclean and hateful bird,

¹³ These you shall regard as abominable among the flyers; they shall not be eaten; they are an abomination:the vulture, the bearded vulture and the eagle, ¹⁴ the black kite and the falcon, all of its kind, ¹⁵ every raven, all of its kind, ¹⁶ the ostrich, the screech owl, the gull and the hawk, all of its kind, ¹⁷ the little owl, the cormorant and the eagle owl, ¹⁸ the ibis, the pelican and the Egyptian vulture, ¹⁹ the stork, the heron, all of its kind, the hoopoe and the bat.

¹⁹ And it comes that Babylon, the stateliest of kingdoms, the beauty, the pomp of the Chaldeans, shall be as the overturning of Sodom and Gomorrah by the Elohim." ²⁰ It shall not be indwelt permanently, nor shall anyone tabernacle there further, for generation after generation, nor shall the Arabian tent there, nor shepherds recline their flocks there." ²¹ Yet the animals of arid spaces will recline there, and their houses will be full of their uproar. And the ostrich will tabernacle there. And hairy creatures will dance there." ²² And falcons will respond in their citadels, and jackals in the delicate palaces. And near to come is her era, and her days shall not be protracted further."

²³ And I make Babylon desolate, for a tenancy of the hedgehog, with watery marshes, and I mop it with the mop of extermination,averring is Yahweh of hosts."

⁸ And he is calling, "I am seeing on the watch, my lord! I am standing continually by day, and I am stationed on my charge all the nights." ⁹ And behold this! Coming is a chariot with men, a pair of horsemen! And he is responding and saying, `Fallen! Fallen is Babylon! And all the carvings and her forbidden idols are broken to the earth.'"

¹¹ Yet the pelican shall tenant it and the hedgehog, and the eagle owl and the raven shall roost in it. And leveling tape of chaos shall stretch out over it, and the plumb stones of vacancy." ¹² And its notables nowhere shall call it a kingdom, and all its chiefs shall come to a limit." ¹³ And briars shall come up in its citadels, the sting nettle and the thistle in its fortresses. And it becomes a homestead of jackals, and a court for the ostrich." ¹⁴ And falcons shall encounter each other in arid places, and the hairy goat shall call to its associate. Yea, there shall lull the hoot owl, and find for itself a rest." ¹⁵ There shall nest the scops owl, and it lays and hatches and sets in its shadow. Yea, there shall the black kites be convened, the dam with her mate."

³⁰ And you, you do prophesy unto them all these words, and have said unto them:Yahweh from the high place does roar, And from His holy habitation gives forth His voice, He surely roars for His habitation, A shout as of treaders down, Elohim answers all the inhabitants of the land,

³⁹ Therefore dwell do Ziim with Iim, Yea, dwelt in her have daughters of the ostrich, And it is not inhabited any more for ever, Nor dwelt in unto all generations." ⁴⁰ As overthrown by Elohim with Sodom, And with Gomorrah, and with its neighbors, An affirmation of Yahweh, none does dwell there, Nor sojourn in her does a son of man."

⁸ Suddenly has Babylon fallen, Yea, it is broken, howl you for it, Take balm for her pain, if so be it may be healed."

³⁷ And Babylon has been for heaps, A habitation of dragons, An astonishment, and a hissing, without inhabitant."

⁶⁰ and Jeremiah writes all the evil that comes unto Babylon on one book--all these words that are written concerning Babylon. ⁶¹ And Jeremiah said unto Seraiah, `When you do enter Babylon, then you have seen, and have read all these words, ⁶² and have said:Yahweh, You, You have spoken concerning this place, to cut it off, that there is none dwelling in it, from man even unto cattle, for it is a desolation eonian." ⁶³ And it has come to pass, when you do finish reading this book, you do bind to it a stone, and have cast it into the midst of Phrat, ⁶⁴ and said, Thus sink does Babylon, and it does not arise, because of the evil that I am bringing in against it, and they have been weary.' Hitherto [are] words of Jeremiah."

¹⁶ And Yahweh shall roar from Zion, and from Jerusalem shall He give forth His voice, and the heavens and the earth shall quake. Yet Yahweh is a refuge for His people, and a stronghold for the sons of Israel."

¹⁴ And droves shall recline in its midst, all the field life. Moreover, the pelican, and the hedgehog shall lodge in its shelters. A voice shall sing in the window, a raven in the threshold, for the cedar is razed."

³ who had a dwelling among the tombs. And not even with chains was anyone able any longer to bind him, ⁴ because of his having often been bound with fetters and chains, and the chains were pulled to pieces by him and the fetters crushed. And no one was strong enough to tame him. " ⁵ And continually, night and day, among the tombs and in the mountains was he, crying and gashing himself with stones."

²⁷ Now at His coming out on the land, there meets Him a certain man out of the city, who had demons, and for a considerable time puts on no cloak, and remained in no house, but in the tombs." ²⁸ Now, perceiving Jesus and crying out, he prostrates to Him and said in a loud voice, "What is it to me and to Thee, Jesus, Son of God Most High! I beseech Thee, Thou shouldst not be tormenting me."

¹⁵ and His feet like white bronze, as fired in a furnace, and His voice is as the sound of many waters."

² And I perceived a strong messenger heralding with a loud voice: "Who is worthy to open the scroll, and to loose its seals?

³ And he cries with a loud voice, even as a lion is bellowing. And when he cries, the seven thunders speak with their own voices."

⁸ And another, a second messenger, follows, saying, "It falls! It falls! Babylon the great has made all nations drink of the wine of the fury of her prostitution!"

¹⁵ And another messenger came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him Who is sitting on the cloud, "Send in Thy sickle and reap! for the hour came to reap, for the harvest of the earth is dried."

¹³ And I perceived, out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the wild beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet,

¹⁹ And the great city came to be divided into three parts; and the cities of the nations fall. And Babylon the great is brought to remembrance in the sight of God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fury of His indignation."

⁵ And on her forehead is written a name: Secret Babylon the Great the mother of the prostitutes and the abominations of the earth.

¹⁸ And the woman whom you perceived is the great city which has a kingdom over the kings of the earth."

¹⁰ standing afar off because of the fear of her torment, saying, 'Woe! Woe! that great city! Babylon, the strong city! for in one hour your judging came.'"

²¹ And one strong messenger lifts a stone, as large as a millstone, and casts it into the sea, saying that "Thus Babylon, the great city, will be hurled down, and nevermore be found in it."
