And to it was given authority to do what it wills forty-two months. ⁶ And it opens its mouth in blasphemies toward God, to blaspheme His name and His tabernacle, and those tabernacling in heaven." ⁷ And to it was given to do battle with the saints and to conquer them. And authority was given to it over every tribe and people and language and nation. ⁸ And all who are dwelling on the earth will be worshiping it, everyone whose name is not written in the scroll of life of the Lambkin slain from the disruption of the world." ⁹ If anyone has an ear, let him hear." ¹⁰ If anyone is for captivity, into captivity he is going. If anyone will be killing with the sword, he must with the sword be killed. Here is the endurance and faith of the saints." ¹¹ And I perceived another wild beast ascending out of the land, and it had two horns like a lambkin's, and it spoke as a dragon." ¹² And it is exercising all the authority of the first wild beast in its sight, and making the earth and those dwelling in it to be worshiping the first wild beast, whose death blow was cured." ¹³ And it is doing great signs, that it may be making fire, also, descend out of heaven into the earth in the sight of mankind." ¹⁴ And it is deceiving those dwelling on the earth because of the signs which were given it to do in the sight of the wild beast, saying to those dwelling on the earth to make an image to the wild beast which has the blow of the sword and lives." ¹⁵ And it was given to it to give spirit to the image of the wild beast, that the image of the wild beast should be speaking also, and should be causing that whosoever should not be worshiping the image of the wild beast may be killed." ¹⁶ And it is causing all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the slaves, that they may be giving them an emblem on their right hand, or on their forehead, ¹⁷ and that no one may be able to buy or sell except the one having the emblem of the wild beast, or its name, or the number of its name." ¹⁸ Here is wisdom. Let him who has a mind calculate the number of the wild beast, for it is the number of mankind, and its number is six hundred sixty-six."

⁷ And forming is Yahweh Elohim the human of soil from the ground, and He is blowing into his nostrils the breath of the living, and becoming is the human a living soul.

⁵ Yea, and your blood for your souls I will require. From the hand of every living animal will I require it, and from the hand of humanity. From the hand of a man's brother I will require the soul of a human. ⁶ The shedder of the blood of a human, by a human his blood shall be shed, for in the image of the Elohim has He made humanity.

⁹ And you will come to have this as a sign on your hand and as a reminder between your eyes that the law of Yahweh may be in your mouth; for with a steadfast hand Yahweh brought you forth from Egypt.

And Saul said unto David, `Go, and Yahweh is with you..

³⁸ And there falls a fire of Yahweh, and consumes the burnt-offering, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and the water that [is] in the trench it has licked up.

¹⁰ And Elijah answers and speaks unto the head of the fifty, `And if I [am] a man of Elohim, fire does come down from the heavens, and consume you and your fifty;' and fire comes down from the heavens, and consumes him and his fifty. <sup>11</sup> And he turns and sends unto him another head of fifty and his fifty, and he answers and speaks unto him, `O man of Elohim, thus said the king, Haste, come down.. ¹² And Elijah answers and speaks unto them, `If I [am] a man of Elohim, fire does come down from the heavens, and consume you and your fifty;' and fire of Elohim comes down from the heavens, and consumes him and his fifty. <sup>13</sup> And he turns and sends a third head of fifty and his fifty, and the third head of fifty goes up, and comes in, and bows on his knees over-against Elijah, and makes supplication unto him, and speaks unto him, `O man of Elohim, let be precious, I pray you, my soul and the soul of your servants--these fifty--in your eyes. ¹⁴ Lo, come down has fire from the heavens, and consumes the two heads of the former fifties and their fifties; and, now, let my soul be precious in your eyes..

²⁴ And he looks behind him, and sees them, and declares them vile in the name of Yahweh, and two bears come out of the forest, and rend of them forty and two lads.

⁷ And Isaiah said, `Take you a cake of figs;' and they take and lay [it] on the boil, and he revives.

²⁰ therefore, lo, I am gathering you unto your fathers, and you have been gathered unto your grave in peace, and your eyes do not look on any of the evil that I am bringing in on this place;' and they bring the king back word.

²¹ For, behold Yahweh faring forth from His holy place to visit the depravity of the earth's dweller upon it. And its blood is exposed by the earth, and no longer shall it cover over its killed."

²⁶ Have you not heard from afar that it was made by Me? From days aforetime also, I formed it. Now will I bring it, and coming are you to cause tumult, to besieged mounds, defended cities."

²⁰ Grazing on ashes, a trifling heart turns him aside. And he is not rescuing his soul, nor is he saying, "Is not a falsehood in my right hand?

²² Me do you not fear, an affirmation of Yahweh? From My presence are you not pained? Who has made sand the border of the sea, A limit eonian, and it passes not over it, They shake themselves, and they are not able, Yea, sounded have its billows, and they pass not over."

⁵ As a palm they [are] stiff, and they speak not, They are surely borne, for they step not, Be not afraid of them, for they do no evil, Yea, also to do good is not in them."

⁴ And He calls unto the man who is clothed with linen, who has the scribe's inkhorn at his loins, and Yahweh said unto him, `Pass on into the midst of the city, into the midst of Jerusalem, and you have made a mark on the foreheads of the men who are sighing and who are groaning for all the abominations that are done in its midst.'"

⁹ `And the prophet, when he is enticed, and has spoken a word--I, Yahweh, I have enticed that prophet, and have stretched out My hand against him, and have destroyed him from the midst of My people Israel."

²⁴ And strengthened the arms of the king of Babylon, And I have given My sword into his hand, And I have broken the arms of Pharaoh, And he has groaned the groans of a pierced one--before him."

³ Then assembling are the satraps, the prefects, and the viceroys, the noble hieromancers, the governors, the magistrates, the jurists, and all the authorities of the provinces, for the dedication of the image that is set up by Nebuchadnezzar the king. And those registered are rising to receive the image that is set up by Nebuchadnezzar." ⁴ Then the herald is calling with potency to the throng, "To you it is commanded, O nations, peoples, leagues and language-groups!" ⁵ As soon as you shall hear the sound of the horn, the pipe, the lyre, the sambuke, the psalteries-- all sorts of music in concert--you shall fall down and worship the golden image that is set up by Nebuchadnezzar the king." ⁶ And whoever shall not fall down and worship, in the same hour shall he be heaved into the midst of the glowing, flaming furnace."

Herbage are they feeding to him, as oxen, and by the night mist of the heavens was his frame streaked, till he knew that the Supreme Eloah is in authority in the kingdom of mortals, and whom He is willing is He setting up over it." ²² Yet you, his grandson Belshazzar, you abase not your heart in Eloah's sight, forasmuch as all this you know." ²³ Over the Lord, the Eloah of the heavens, you exalt yourself; the vessels of His house they bring hither before you; you and your grandees, your consorts and your concubines are drinking turbid wine from them. Also elohim of silver, gold, copper, iron, wood, and stone who are not perceiving and not hearing and not knowing, these you laud, yet the Eloah in Whose hand is your breath, and for Whom are all your paths, Him you do not honor."
