⁶ These have authority to lock heaven, that there may be no shower of rain for the days of their prophecy. And they have authority over the waters to be turning them into blood, and to smite the land with every calamity, as often as they will."

¹⁷ Thus says Yahweh: By this shall you know that I am Yahweh. Behold, I shall be smiting with the rod which is in my hand upon the waters which are in the waterway, and they will be turned to blood, ¹⁸ and the fish which are in the waterway shall die, and the waterway will stink, and the Egyptians will be too repelled to drink the waters from the waterway. ¹⁹ Then Yahweh said to Moses: Say to Aaron, Take your rod, and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt, over their streams, over their waterways, over their ponds and over every confluence of their waters that they may become blood. Thus there will come to be blood in all the land of Egypt and in wooden and in stone troughs. ²⁰ Moses and Aaron did so just as Yahweh had instructed; he raised the rod and smote the waters which were in the waterway before the eyes of Pharaoh and before the eyes of his servants. And all the waters which were in the waterway were turned to blood. ²¹ The fish which were in the waterway died, and the waterway stank so that the Egyptians were unable to drink the waters from the waterway. And the blood came to be in all the land of Egypt. ²² Also the sacred scribes of Egypt did so with their occultisms; hence the heart of Pharaoh was steadfast, and he did not hearken to them, just as Yahweh had spoken. ²³ Pharaoh turned around, entered into his house and did not set his heart even to this. ²⁴ Yet all the Egyptians delved round about the waterway for waters to drink, for they were unable to drink from the waters of the waterway. ²⁵ When seven days were fulfilled after Yahweh's smiting the waterway,

⁸ Woe to us, who does deliver us out of the hand of these honorable elohims? these [are] the elohims who are smiting the Egyptians with every plague in the wilderness.

¹ And Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, `Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, lives, before whom I have stood, there is not these years dew and rain, except according to my word..

²⁶ He sent Moses, His servant, And Aaron whom He had chosen." ²⁷ He placed the words of His signs before them, And His miracles before the country of Ham." ²⁸ He sent darkness, and it became very dark, And they could not defy His words." ²⁹ He turned their waters to blood, And He put their fish to death." ³⁰ Their country swarmed with frogs, Into the chambers of their kings." ³¹ He spoke, and there came a mixture of flies, Lice in all their territory." ³² He turned their downpours to hail, With fiery bolts blazing in their country." ³³ He smote their vines and their fig trees, And He broke down the trees of their territory." ³⁴ He spoke, and the locust came, And the young-locust and they were without number." ³⁵ It devoured all the herbage in their country And devoured the fruit of their ground. ³⁶ Then He smote all the firstborn in their country, The beginning of all their virility."

¹ And there is a word of Yahweh unto me, saying, `And you, son of man, Thus said the Lord Yahweh to the ground of Israel:" ² An end, come has the end on the four corners of the land." ³ Now [is] the end unto you, And I have sent Mine anger upon you, And judged you according to your ways, And set against you all your abominations." ⁴ And no pity on you has Mine eye, nor do I spare, For your ways against you I do set, And your abominations are in your midst, And you have known that I [am] Yahweh." ⁵ Thus said the Lord Yahweh:Evil, a single evil, lo, it has come." ⁶ An end has come, come has the end, It has waked for you, lo, it has come." ⁷ Come has the morning unto you, O inhabitant of the land! Come has the time, near [is] a day of trouble, And not the shouting of mountains." ⁸ Now, shortly I pour out My fury on you, And have completed Mine anger against you, And judged you according to your ways, And set against you all your abominations." ⁹ And not pity does Mine eye, nor do I spare, According to your ways unto you I give, And your abominations are in your midst, And you have known that I [am] Yahweh the smiter." ¹⁰ Lo, the day, lo, it has come, Gone forth has the morning, Blossomed has the rod, flourished the pride." ¹¹ The violence has risen to a rod of wickedness, There is none of them, nor of their multitude, Nor of their noise, nor is there wailing for them." ¹² Come has the time, arrived has the day, The buyer does not rejoice, And the seller does not become a mourner, For wrath [is] unto all its multitude."

²⁵ Now of a truth I am saying to you, that many widows were in Israel in the days of Elijah, when heaven is locked for three years and six months, as a great famine came to be over the entire land,

¹⁶ Then confess sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The operative petition of the just is availing much." ¹⁷ Elijah was a man of like emotions with us, and he prays in prayer for it not to rain, and it does not rain on the land three years and six months." ¹⁸ And again he prays, and heaven gives a shower and the earth germinates her fruit."
