⁵⁹ I have taken account of my ways; So let me turn back my feet to Your testimonies.

³⁰ In your distress, when all these things find you in the latter days, then you will return to Yahweh your Elohim and hearken to His voice. ³¹ For Yahweh your Elohim is a compassionate El. He shall neither neglect you nor bring ruin on you, nor shall He forget the covenant of your fathers about which He had sworn to them.

⁴ And you have said unto them:Thus said Yahweh, Do they fall, and not rise? Does he turn back, and not return? ⁵ Wherefore has this people of Jerusalem Turned back--a perpetual backsliding? They have kept hold on deceit, They have refused to turn back." ⁶ I have given attention, yea, I hearken, They do not speak right, No man has repented of his wickedness, Saying, What have I done? Every one has turned to his courses, As a horse is rushing into battle."

¹⁸ I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself, `You have chastised me, And I am chastised, as a heifer not taught, Turn me back, and I turn back, For you [are] Yahweh my Elohim." ¹⁹ For after my turning back I repented, And after my being instructed I struck on the thigh, I have been ashamed, I have also blushed, For I have borne the reproach of my youth."

⁴⁰ Let us search and investigate our ways and return unto Yahweh;

²⁸ And he sees and turns back, From all his transgressions that he has done, He does surely live, he does not die,

³⁰ Therefore, each according to his ways I judge you, O house of Israel? An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh, Turn you back, yea, turn yourselves back, From all your transgressions, And iniquity is not to you for a stumbling-block,

¹⁴ And in My saying to the wicked:You surely die, And--he has turned back from his sin, And has done judgment and righteousness, ¹⁵ (The pledge the wicked restores, plunder he repays,) In the statutes of life he has walked, So as not to do perversity, He surely lives--he does not die." ¹⁶ None of his sin that he has sinned is remembered to him, Judgment and righteousness he has done, He does surely live."

¹⁹ And in the turning back of the wicked from his wickedness, And he has done judgment and righteousness, by them he lives."

¹³ and tear your heart and not your garments, and return to Yahweh, your Elohim. For gracious and compassionate is He, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and He regrets over the evil."

¹⁷ Now, coming to himself, he averred, 'How many of my father's hired men are being cloyed with bread, yet I am perishing here of famine!" ¹⁸ Rising, I will go to my father and declare to him, "Father, I sinned against heaven and in your sight." ¹⁹ No longer am I worthy to be called your son. Make me as one of your hired men."'" ²⁰ And rising, he came to his father. "Now, at his being still far away, his father perceived him and has compassion, and running, falls on his neck and fondly kisses him."

²¹ Not again at my coming will my God be humbling me toward you, and I shall be mourning for many who have sinned before and are not repenting of the uncleanness and prostitution and wantonness which they commit."

⁵ Try yourselves, if you are in the faith; test yourselves. Or are you not recognizing yourselves that Christ Jesus is in you, except you are somewhat disqualified? "
