Let them not uphold him. ¹⁸ He who walks flawlessly shall be kept in safety, Yet he whose ways are perverse shall fall into a pit." ¹⁹ He who serves his ground shall be fully repaid with bread, Yet he who pursues empty dreams shall be fully repaid with destitution." ²⁰ A faithful man shall have many blessings, Yet he who rushes to be rich shall not be held innocent." ²¹ To be biased is not good, Yet for a morsel of bread a master may transgress." ²² A man who is stingy of eye is rash to get wealth, Yet he does not know that want shall come to him." ²³ He who reproves a man shall find more grace afterward Than he who is slick of tongue. ²⁴ He who pillages from his father and his mother And says, This is not transgression, He is partner to the corrupt man." ²⁵ A pretentious soul stirs up a quarrel, Yet he who trusts in Yahweh shall be conferred with richness." ²⁶ He who trusts in his own heart is stupid, Yet he who walks in wisdom shall escape from harm." ²⁷ He who gives to the destitute person shall have no lack, Yet for him who obscures his eyes from them are many curses." ²⁸ When the wicked rise, humanity must get concealed, Yet when they perish, the righteous increase."

¹² And saying is the human, "The woman whom You gave, withal, she gave to me from the tree and I am eating. ¹³ And saying is Yahweh Elohim to the woman, "What is this you do? "And saying is the woman, "The serpent lured me and I am eating.

⁹ And saying is Yahweh Elohim to Cain, "Where is Abel, your brother? "And saying is he, "I do not know. The keeper of my brother am I?

⁶ The shedder of the blood of a human, by a human his blood shall be shed, for in the image of the Elohim has He made humanity.

¹⁰ And lifting is Lot his eyes and is seeing all the basin of the Jordan, for all of it was irrigated before Yahweh wrecked Sodom and Gomorrah, as the garden of Yahweh Elohim, as the land of Egypt as you come to Zoar. ¹¹ And choosing is Lot for his all the basin of the Jordan. And journeying is Lot east. And being parted are they, each man from his brother. ¹² Abram dwells in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwells in the cities of the basin. And tenting is he as far as Sodom. ¹³ Now the mortals of Sodom are evil and sinners against Yahweh Elohim exceedingly.

¹⁷ And coming is it, as they bring them forth outside. They are saying also, "Be sure to escape with your soul! You must not look behind you, and you must not stand in any part of the basin. Escape to the mountain, lest you be swept up!"

⁵ And now, you must not grieve, and it must not be hot in your eyes, that you sell me hither, for to preserve life the Elohim sends me before you. ⁶ For this two years the famine is within the land, and there are still five years in which there is no plowing or harvesting. ⁷ And sending me is the Elohim before you to constitute you a remnant in the earth and to preserve your lives for a great deliverance. ⁸ And now, not you send me hither, for it was the Elohim. And constituting me is He a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his household, and ruler in all the land of Egypt.

¹⁴ and they embittered their lives with hard service in clay and in bricks, and with all service in the field, in addition to all their service which they served among them with rigor. ¹⁵ Then the king of Egypt spoke to the Hebrew midwives (of whom the name of the first one was Shiphrah, and the name of the second Puah. ¹⁶ and said: In your midwifery for the Hebrew women, when you see them on the bracing stones, if it is a son then you will put him to death, and if it is a daughter then she will live.

²² Then Pharaoh instructed all his people, saying: Every son born to the Hebrews, into the waterway shall you fling him, yet every daughter you shall keep alive.

²² Also the sacred scribes of Egypt did so with their occultisms; hence the heart of Pharaoh was steadfast, and he did not hearken to them, just as Yahweh had spoken.

¹⁶ Now Pharaoh hastened to call for Moses and for Aaron and said: I have sinned against Yahweh your Elohim and against you. ¹⁷ And now, I pray, bear with my sin only this time, and make an entreaty to Yahweh your Elohim that he may take away from over me but this death!"

⁸ Then all these, your servants, will descend to me and bow themselves down to me, saying: Go forth, you and all the people who follow in your footsteps! And afterward I shall go forth. So he went forth from Pharaoh in the heat of anger.

²³ Now the Egyptians pursued and entered after them, all the horses of Pharaoh, his chariots and his horsemen, into the midst of the sea.

²¹ Now you shall perceive among all the people men of ability, fearful of Elohim, men of truth, hating gain. You will place these over them as chiefs of thousands, chiefs of hundreds, chiefs of fifties and chiefs of tens.

¹⁴ Yet in case a man was planning arrogantly against his associate so as to kill him by craft, from My altar shall you take him to die.

²⁵ If you obligate My people, the humble with you, with silver, you shall not be as a moneylender to him; you shall not impose interest on him.

² You shall not come after the many to do evil, and you shall not respond in a contention to turn aside after the many, to turn aside judgment.

⁸ You shall not take a bribe, for the bribe is blinding the unclosed eyes and is subverting the words of the righteous.

³⁶ Do not take advance interest or accrued interest from him. You will fear your Elohim, so that your brother be alive beside you.

¹⁷ I will set My face against you, and you will be struck down before your enemies; those hating you will hold sway over you, and you will flee even when there is no one pursuing you.

³⁶ As for the remainder among you, I will also bring timidity into their heart in the lands of their enemies so that the sound of a leaf being whisked away will pursue them, and they will flee as if in flight from the sword; they will fall even when there is no one pursuing.

⁴⁰ If they will confess their depravity and the depravity of their fathers in their offense (when they had offended Me and, indeed, when they had gone contrary to M. ⁴¹ so that I Myself also went contrary to them and brought them into the land of their enemies), if then their uncircumcised heart should submit, and if then they should accept their depravity, ⁴² then I will remember My covenant with Jacob and also My covenant with Isaac; also My covenant with Abraham shall I remember, and the land shall I remember.

³² The messenger of Yahweh said to him:On what grounds did you smite your jenny these three times? Behold, I myself came forth as your adversary, for your way in front of me is precipitant.

¹⁵ And Moses said to them:You have kept every female alive? ¹⁶ Behold, they, by the word of Balaam, came to be for the sons of Israel the reason for a withdrawal from and an offense against Yahweh in the matter of Peor, so that the stroke came to be in the congregation of Yahweh.

¹⁴ Three of the cities shall you give across the Jordan, and three of the cities shall you give in the land of Canaan; cities of asylum shall they be. ¹⁵ For the sons of Israel, for the sojourner and for the guest in their midst, these six cities shall be for an asylum to flee there for everyone smiting a soul to death inadvertently. ¹⁶ Yet if he smites him with an iron instrument and he dies, he is a murderer. The murderer shall be put to death, yea death. ¹⁷ And if he smites him with a stone in his hand by which one may die, and he dies, he is a murderer. The murderer shall be put to death, yea death. ¹⁸ Or if he smites him with a wooden instrument in his hand by which one may die, and he dies, he is a murderer. The murderer shall be put to death, yea death. ¹⁹ The redeemer of blood, he shall put the murderer to death; when he comes upon him he shall put him to death. ²⁰ And if he thrusts him in hatred or flings anything at him with malicious intent and he dies, ²¹ or he smites him in enmity with his hand and he dies, the smiter shall be put to death, yea death; he is a murderer. The redeemer of blood shall put the murderer to death when he comes upon him. ²² Yet if in an instant, with no enmity, he thrusts him or flings any article at him with no malicious intent, ²³ or, when not seeing him, he causes any stone by which one may die to fall on him and he dies, yet he was not his enemy and was not seeking his evil, ²⁴ then the congregation will judge between the smiter and the redeemer of blood by these judgments; ²⁵ and the congregation will rescue the manslayer from the hand of the redeemer of blood, and the congregation will restore him to his city of asylum where he had fled. He will dwell in it until the death of the great priest, whom one anointed with the holy oil. ²⁶ Yet if the manslayer goes forth, yea forth beyond the boundary of his city of asylum where he had fle. ²⁷ and the redeemer of blood finds him outside the boundary of his city of asylum, and the redeemer of blood murders the manslayer, there is no bloodguilt on him, ²⁸ for he should dwell in his city of asylum until the death of the great priest. Yet after the death of the great priest the manslayer may return to the land of his holding. ²⁹ These will be for you a statute of judgment throughout your generations in all your dwellings. ³⁰ Everyone smiting a soul to death, at the mouth of witnesses one shall murder the murderer. Yet a single witness shall not assert guilt against a soul to cause him to die. ³¹ Nor shall you take a sheltering ransom for the soul of the murderer, who stands condemned to die; for he shall be put to death, yea death. ³² And no sheltering ransom shall you take for one who had fled to his city of asylum only to return to dwell in the land before the death of the great priest. ³³ You shall not pollute the land in which you are dwelling; for it is the blood that pollutes the land. As for the land, no shelter may be made for the blood which was shed on it save by the blood of him who shed it. ³⁴ You shall not defile the land in which you are dwelling, in whose midst I am tabernacling, for I, Yahweh, am tabernacling in the midst of the sons of Israel.

¹² It will come to be, insomuch as you shall hearken to these judgments, and you observe and do them, that Yahweh your Elohim will keep with you the covenant and the kindness about which He had sworn to your fathers;" ¹³ He will love you and bless you; He will multiply you and bless the fruit of your belly and the fruit of your ground, your grain, your grape juice, and your clarified oil, the calving of your domestic animals and the lambing of your flock, on the ground about which Yahweh had sworn to your fathers to give to you. ¹⁴ Blessed shall you come to be above all the peoples. There shall come to be no sterile man or barren woman among you, nor among your beasts.

⁷ In case there should be among you a needy person, one of your brothers within one of your gates in your land that Yahweh your Elohim is giving to you, you shall neither make your heart rigid nor shut your hand from your needy brother.

¹⁰ You shall give, yea give to him, and your heart shall not feel bad at your giving to him. For owing to this matter Yahweh your Elohim shall bless you in all your work and in every undertaking of your hand.

⁷ Yahweh shall make your enemies who are rising against you to be struck down before you. By a single road shall they come forth to you, and by seven roads shall they flee before you.

²⁵ Yahweh shall make you to be struck down before your enemies. By a single road shall you go forth to them, and by seven roads shall you flee before them. So you will become an object of commotion to all the kingdoms of the earth.

⁴ and they give to him seventy silverings out of the house of Baal-Berith, and Abimelech hires with them men, vain and unstable, and they go after him;"

² and he said to his mother, `The eleven hundred silverlings which have been taken of your, and [of which] you have sworn, and also spoken in mine ears; lo, the silver [is] with me, I have taken it;' and his mother said, `Blessed [is] my son of Yahweh..

¹³ And Samuel comes in unto Saul, and Saul said to him, `Blessed [are] you of Yahweh; I have performed the word of Yahweh.. <sup>14</sup> And Samuel said, `And what [is] the noise of this flock in mine ears--and the noise of the herd which I am hearing?. ¹⁵ And Saul said, `From Amalek they have brought them, because the people had pity on the best of the flock, and of the herd, in order to sacrifice to Yahweh your Elohim, and the remnant we have devoted.. <sup>16</sup> And Samuel said unto Saul, `Desist, and I declare to you that which Yahweh has spoken unto me to-night;' and he said to him, `Speak.. <sup>17</sup> And Samuel said, `Are not you, if you [are] little in your own eyes, head of the tribes of Israel? and Yahweh does anoint you for king over Israel, ¹⁸ and Yahweh sends you in the way, and said, Go, and you have devoted the sinners, the Amalekite, and fought against them till they are consumed;" ¹⁹ and why have you not hearkened to the voice of Yahweh--and do fly unto the spoil, and do do the evil thing in the eyes of Yahweh?. ²⁰ And Saul said unto Samuel, `Because--I have hearkened to the voice of Yahweh, and I go in the way which Yahweh has sent me, and bring in Agag king of Amalek, and Amalek I have devoted;" <sup>21</sup> and the people takes of the spoil of the flock and herd, the first part of the devoted thing, for sacrifice to Yahweh your Elohim in Gilgal.. <sup>22</sup> And Samuel said, `Has Yahweh had delight in burnt-offerings and sacrifices as [in] hearkening to the voice of Yahweh? lo, hearkening than sacrifice is better; to give attention than fat of rams;" ²³ for a sin of divination [is] rebellion, and iniquity and teraphim [is] stubbornness; because you have rejected the word of Yahweh, He also does reject you from [being] king.. ²⁴ And Saul said unto Samuel, `I have sinned, for I passed over the command of Yahweh, and your words; because I have feared the people, I also hearken to their voice;"

¹⁷ And the king said to runners, those standing by him, `Turn round, and put to death the priests of Yahweh, because their hand also [is] with David, and because they have known that he is fleeing, and have not uncovered mine ear;' and the servants of the king have not been willing to put forth their hand to come against the priests of Yahweh. <sup>18</sup> And the king said to Doeg, `Turn round you, and come against the priests;' and Doeg the Edomite turns round, and comes himself against the priests, and puts to death in that day eighty and five men bearing a linen ephod, ¹⁹ and Nob, the city of the priests, he has smitten by the mouth of the sword, from man even unto woman, from infant even unto suckling, and ox, and ass, and sheep, by the mouth of the sword.

¹⁹ And the Ziphites go up unto Saul to Gibeah, saying, `Is not David hiding himself with us in fortresses, in the forest, in the height of Hachilah, which [is] on the south of the desolate place? <sup>20</sup> And, now, by all the desire of your soul, O king, to come down, come down, and ours [is] to shut him up into the hand of the king.. <sup>21</sup> And Saul said, `Blessed [are] you of Yahweh, for you have pity on me;"

¹¹ `And, my father, see, yea see the skirt of your upper robe in my hand; for by cutting off the skirt of your upper robe, and I have not slain you, know and see that there is not in my hand evil and transgression, and I have not sinned against you, and you are hunting my soul to take it!"

¹⁹ And, now, let, I pray you, my lord the king hear the words of his servant:if Yahweh has moved you against me, let Him accept a present; and if the sons of men--cursed [are] they before Yahweh, for they have cast me out to-day from being admitted into the inheritance of Yahweh, saying, Go, serve other elohims.

⁶ and the ewe-lamb he does repay fourfold, because that he has done this thing, and because that he had no pity.. ⁷ And Nathan said unto David, `You [are] the man! Thus said Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, I anointed you for king over Israel, and I delivered you out of the hand of Saul;"

²³ and they declare to the king, saying, `Lo, Nathan the prophet;' and he comes in before the king, and bows himself to the king, on his face to the earth.

³² And king David said, `Call for me for Zadok the priest, and for Nathan the prophet, and for Benaiah son of Jehoiada;' and they come in before the king. <sup>33</sup> And the king said to them, `Take with you the servants of your lord, and you have caused Solomon my son to ride on mine own mule, and caused him to go down unto Gihon, ³⁴ and anointed him there has Zadok the priest--and Nathan the prophet--for king over Israel, and you have blown with a trumpet, and said, Let king Solomon live;" ³⁵ and you have come up after him, and he has come in and has sat on my throne, and he does reign in my stead, and him I have appointed to be leader over Israel, and over Judah.. ³⁶ And Benaiah son of Jehoiada answers the king, and said, `Amen! so does Yahweh, Elohim of my lord the king, say;" <sup>37</sup> as Yahweh has been with my lord the king, so is He with Solomon, and does make his throne greater than the throne of my lord king David.. <sup>38</sup> And Zadok the priest goes down, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethite, and the Pelethite, and they cause Solomon to ride on the mule of king David, and cause him to go unto Gihon, <sup>39</sup> and Zadok the priest takes the horn of oil out of the tent, and anoints Solomon, and they blow with a trumpet, and all the people say, `Let king Solomon live.. ⁴⁰ And all the people come up after him, and the people are piping with pipes, and rejoicing--great joy, and the earth rends with their voice.

⁴⁷ and they have turned [it] back unto their heart in the land whither they have been taken captive, and have turned back, and made supplication unto You, in the land of their captors, saying, We have sinned and done perversely--we have done wickedly;" ⁴⁸ yea, they have turned back unto You, with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their enemies who have taken them captive, and have prayed unto You the way of their land, which You gave to their fathers, the city which You have chosen, and the house which I have builded for Your name. ⁴⁹ `Then You have heard in the heavens, the settled place of Your dwelling, their prayer and their supplication, and have maintained their cause,

¹⁰ And they speak unto him--the lads who had grown up with him--saying, `Thus do you say to this people who have spoken unto you, saying, Your father made our yoke heavy, and you, make [it] light upon us; thus do you speak unto them, My little [finger] is thicker than the loins of my father;"

¹⁴ and speaks unto them, according to the counsel of the lads, saying, `My father made your yoke heavy, and I add to your yoke; my father chastised you with whips, and I--I chastise you with scorpions;.

²⁵ And Nadab son of Jeroboam has reigned over Israel, in the second year of Asa king of Judah, and he reigns over Israel two years,

²⁸ yea, Baasha puts him to death in the third year of Asa king of Judah, and reigns in his stead.

⁸ In the twenty and sixth year of Asa king of Judah reigned has Elah son of Baasha over Israel in Tirzah, two years;" ⁹ and conspire against him does his servant Zimri (head of the half of the chariots) and he [is] in Tirzah drinking--a drunkard in the house of Arza, who [is] over the house in Tirzah. ¹⁰ And Zimri comes in and smites him, and puts him to death, in the twenty and seventh year of Asa king of Judah, and reigns in his stead;" ¹¹ and it comes to pass in his reigning, at his sitting on his throne, he has smitten the whole house of Baasha; he has not left to him any sitting on the wall, and of his redeemers, and of his friends. ¹² And Zimri destroys the whole house of Baasha, according to the word of Yahweh, that He spoke concerning Baasha, by the hand of Jehu the prophet. ¹³ concerning all the sins of Baasha, and the sins of Elah his son, that they sinned, and that they caused Israel to sin to provoke Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, with their vanities. ¹⁴ And the rest of the matters of Elah, and all that he did, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel? ¹⁵ In the twenty and seventh year of Asa king of Judah, reigned has Zimri seven days in Tirzah; and the people are encamping against Gibbethon, which [is] to the Philistines;" ¹⁶ and the people who are encamping hear, saying, `Zimri has conspired, and also has smitten the king;' and all Israel cause Omri head of the host to reign over Israel on that day in the camp. ¹⁷ And Omri goes up, and all Israel with him, from Gibbethon, and they lay siege to Tirzah. ¹⁸ And it comes to pass, at Zimri's seeing that the city has been captured, that he comes in unto a high place of the house of the king, and burns over him the house of the king with fire, and dies, ¹⁹ for his sins that he sinned, to do the evil thing in the eyes of Yahweh, to walk in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin that he did, to cause Israel to sin;" ²⁰ and the rest of the matters of Zimri, and his conspiracy that he made, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel? ²¹ Then are the sons of Israel parted into halves; half of the people has been after Tibni son of Ginath to cause him to reign, and the half after Omri;" ²² and stronger are the people that are after Omri than the people that are after Tibni son of Ginath, and Tibni dies, and Omri reigns. ²³ In the thirty and first year of Asa king of Judah reigned has Omri over Israel twelve years; in Tirzah he has reigned six years, ²⁴ and he buys the mount Samaria from Shemer, with two talents of silver, and builds [on] the mount, and calls the name of the city that he has built by the name of Shemer, lord of the hill--Samaria. ²⁵ And Omri does the evil thing in the eyes of Yahweh, and does evil above all who [are] before him, ²⁶ and walks in all the way of Jeroboam son of Nebat, and in his sin that he caused Israel to sin, to provoke Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, with their vanities. ²⁷ And the rest of the matters of Omri that he did, and his might that he got, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel? ²⁸ And Omri lies with his fathers, and is buried in Samaria, and Ahab his son reigns in his stead. ²⁹ And Ahab son of Omri has reigned over Israel in the thirty and eighth year of Asa king of Judah, and Ahab son of Omri reigns over Israel in Samaria twenty and two years,

³ `Go from this [place]; and you have turned for you eastward, and been hidden by the brook Cherith, that [is] on the front of the Jordan, <sup>4</sup> and it has been, from the brook you do drink, and the ravens I have commanded to sustain you there.. <sup>5</sup> And he goes and does according to the word of Yahweh, yea, he goes and dwells by the brook Cherith, that [is] on the front of the Jordan, <sup>6</sup> and the ravens are bringing to him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening, and of the brook he drinks. <sup>7</sup> And it comes to pass, at the end of days, that the brook dries up, for there has been no rain in the land, <sup>8</sup> and the word of Yahweh is unto him, saying, <sup>9</sup> `Rise, go to Zarephath, that [is] to Zidon, and you have dwelt there; lo, I have commanded there a widow woman to sustain you.. ¹⁰ And he rises, and goes to Zarephath, and comes in unto the opening of the city, and lo there, a widow woman gathering sticks, and he calls unto her, and said, `Bring, I pray you, to me, a little water in a vessel, and I drink.. <sup>11</sup> And she goes to bring [it], and he calls unto her and said, `Bring, I pray you, to me a morsel of bread in your hand.. ¹² And she said, `Yahweh your Elohim lives, I have not a cake, but the fulness of the hand of meal in a pitcher, and a little oil in a dish; and lo, I am gathering two sticks, and have gone in and prepared it for myself, and for my son, and we have eaten it--and died.. <sup>13</sup> And Elijah said unto her, `Fear not, go, do according to your word, only make for me thence a little cake, in the first place, and you have brought out to me; and for you and for your son make--last;" ¹⁴ for thus said Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, The pitcher of meal is not consumed, and the dish of oil is not lacking, till the day of Yahweh's giving a shower on the face of the ground.. ¹⁵ And she goes, and does according to the word of Elijah, and she eats, she and he, and her household--days;" ¹⁶ the pitcher of meal was not consumed, and the dish of oil did not lack, according to the word of Yahweh that He spoke by the hand of Elijah. ¹⁷ And it comes to pass, after these things, the son of the woman, mistress of the house, has been sick, and his sickness is very severe till that no breath has been left in him. ¹⁸ And she said unto Elijah, `What--to me and to you, O man of Elohim? you have come unto me to cause mine iniquity to be remembered, and to put my son to death!. <sup>19</sup> And he said unto her, `Give to me your son;' and he takes him out of her bosom, and takes him up unto the upper chamber where he is abiding, and lays him on his own bed, ²⁰ and cries unto Yahweh, and said, `Yahweh my Elohim, also on the widow with whom I am sojourning have You done evil--to put her son to death?. <sup>21</sup> And he stretches himself out on the lad three times, and calls unto Yahweh, and said, `O Yahweh my Elohim, let turn back, I pray You, the soul of this lad into his midst;. ²² and Yahweh hearkens to the voice of Elijah, and the soul of the lad turns back into his midst, and he lives. ²³ And Elijah takes the lad, and brings him down from the upper chamber of the house, and gives him to his mother, and Elijah said, `See, your son lives!. <sup>24</sup> And the woman said unto Elijah, `Now, this I have known, that a man of Elohim you [are], and the word of Yahweh in your mouth [is] truth..

¹³ `Has it not been declared to my lord that which I have done in Jezebel's slaying the prophets of Yahweh, that I hide of the prophets of Yahweh a hundred men, fifty by fifty in a cave, and sustained them with bread and water?

¹⁸ And he said, `I have not troubled Israel, but you and the house of your father, in your forsaking the commands of Yahweh, and you go after the Baalim;"

²¹ and Elijah comes nigh unto all the people, and said, `Till when are you leaping on the two branches? --if Yahweh [is] Elohim, go after Him; and if Baal, go after him;' and the people have not answered him a word.

³ And he fears, and rises, and goes for his life, and comes in to Beer-Sheba, that [is] Judah's, and leaves his young man there,

⁴¹ And he hastes and turns aside the ashes from off his eyes, and the king of Israel discerns him, that he [is] of the prophets, ⁴² and he said unto him, `Thus said Yahweh, Because you have sent away the man I devoted, out of [your] hand, even your life has been for his life, and your people for his people;.

¹⁹ and you have spoken unto him, saying, Thus said Yahweh, Have you murdered, and also possessed? and you have spoken unto him, saying, Thus said Yahweh, In the place where the dogs licked the blood of Naboth, do the dogs lick your blood, even your..

²³ `And also of Jezebel has Yahweh spoken, saying, The dogs do eat Jezebel in the bulwark of Jezreel;"

¹⁹ And he said, `Therefore, hear a word of Yahweh; I have seen Yahweh sitting on His throne, and all the host of the heavens standing by Him, on His right and on His left;" <sup>20</sup> and Yahweh said, Who does entice Ahab, and he does go up and fall in Ramoth-Gilead? and this one said thus, and that one is saying thus. <sup>21</sup> `And the spirit goes out, and stands before Yahweh, and said, I--I do entice him; and Yahweh said unto him, By what? ²² and he said, I go out, and have been a spirit of falsehood in the mouth of all his prophets; and He said, You do entice, and also you are able; go out and do so. ²³ And now, lo, Yahweh has put a spirit of falsehood in the mouth of all these your prophets, and Yahweh has spoken concerning you--evil.. ²⁴ And Zedekiah son of Chenaanah draws nigh, and smites Micaiah on the cheek, and said, `Where [is] this--he has passed over--the Spirit of Yahweh--from me to speak with you?. <sup>25</sup> And Micaiah said, `Lo, you are seeing on that day, when you go in to the innermost chamber to be hidden.. ²⁶ And the king of Israel said, `Take Micaiah, and turn him back unto Amon head of the city, and unto Joash son of the king, <sup>27</sup> and you have said, Thus said the king, Place you this one in the house of restraint, and cause him to eat bread of oppression, and water of oppression, till my coming in peace.. <sup>28</sup> And Micaiah said, `If you at all return in peace--Yahweh has not spoken by me;' and he said, `Hear, O peoples, all of them..

²⁴ And he looks behind him, and sees them, and declares them vile in the name of Yahweh, and two bears come out of the forest, and rend of them forty and two lads.

¹³ And Elisha said unto the king of Israel, `What--to me and to you? go unto the prophets of your father, and unto the prophets of your mother;' and the king of Israel said to him, `Nay, for Yahweh has called for these three kings to give them into the hand of Moab.. ¹⁴ And Elisha said, `Yahweh of Hosts lives, before whom I have stood; for unless the face of Jehoshaphat king of Judah I am lifting up, I do not look unto you, nor see you;"

²⁰ And Gehazi, servant of Elisha the man of Elohim, said, `Lo, my lord has spared Naaman this Aramean, not to receive from his hand that which he brought; Yahweh lives; surely if I have run after him, then I have taken from him something.. <sup>21</sup> And Gehazi pursues after Naaman, and Naaman sees one running after him, and alights from off the chariot to meet him, and said, `Is there peace?. ²² And he said, `Peace; my lord has sent me, saying, Lo, now, this, come unto me have two young men from the hill-country of Ephraim, of the sons of the prophets; give, I pray you, to them, a talent of silver, and two changes of garments.. <sup>23</sup> And Naaman said, `Be pleased, take two talents;' and he urges on him, and binds two talents of silver in two purses, and two changes of garments, and gives unto two of his young men, and they bear before him;" ²⁴ and he comes in unto the high place, and takes out of their hand, and lays up in the house, and sends away the men, and they go. ²⁵ And he has come in, and does stand by his lord, and Elisha said unto him, `Whence--Gehazi?' and he said, `Your servant went not hither or thither.. ²⁶ And he said unto him, `My heart went not when the man turned from off his chariot to meet you; is it a time to take silver, and to take garments, and olives, and vines, and flock, and herd, and men-servants, and maid-servants? ²⁷ yea, the leprosy of Naaman does cleave to you, and to your seed, --to the eon;' and he goes out from before him--leprous as snow.

⁶ seeing Yahweh has caused the camp of Aram to hear a noise of chariot and a noise of horse--a noise of great force, and they say one unto another, `Lo, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of Egypt, to come against us.. ⁷ And they rise and flee in the twilight, and forsake their tents, and their horses, and their asses--the camp as it [is] --and flee for their life.

¹⁵ And they go after them unto the Jordan, and lo, all the way is full of garments and vessels that the Arameans have cast away in their haste, and the messengers turn back and declare to the king.

¹³ And Hazael said, `But what, [is] your servant the dog, that he does this great thing?' And Elisha said, `Yahweh has showed me you--king of Aram..

²⁶ Have I not the blood of Naboth and the blood of his sons seen yesternight--the affirmation of Yahweh--yea, I have recompensed to you in this portion--the affirmation of Yahweh; --and now, lift up, cast him into the portion, according to the word of Yahweh..

⁸ In the thirty and eighth year of Azariah king of Judah reigned has Zechariah son of Jeroboam over Israel, in Samaria, six months, ⁹ and he does the evil thing in the eyes of Yahweh, as did his fathers, he has not turned aside from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat that he caused Israel to sin. ¹⁰ And Shallum son of Jabesh conspires against him, and smites him before the people, and puts him to death, and reigns in his stead. ¹¹ And the rest of the matters of Zechariah, lo, they are written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel. ¹² It [is] the word of Yahweh that He spoke unto Jehu, saying, `Sons of the fourth [generation] do sit for you on the throne of Israel;' and it is so. ¹³ Shallum son of Jabesh has reigned in the thirty and ninth year of Uzziah king of Judah, and he reigns a month of days in Samaria;" ¹⁴ and go up does Menahem son of Gadi from Tirzah and comes in to Samaria, and smites Shallum son of Jabesh in Samaria, and puts him to death, and reigns in his stead. ¹⁵ And the rest of the matters of Shallum, and his conspiracy that he made, lo, they are written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel. ¹⁶ Then does Menahem smite Tiphsah, and all who [are] in it, and its borders from Tirzah, for it opened not [to him], and he smites [it], all its pregnant women he has ripped up.

¹⁶ And also, innocent blood has Manasseh shed very much, till that he has filled Jerusalem--mouth to mouth; apart from his sin that he has caused Judah to sin, to do the evil thing in the eyes of Yahweh.

²⁵ And it is David, and the elders of Israel, and the heads of the thousands, who are going to bring up the ark of the covenant of Yahweh from the house of Obed-Edom with joy;" ²⁶ and it comes to pass, in Elohim's helping the Levites bearing the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, that they sacrifice seven bullocks and seven rams. ²⁷ And David is wrapped in an upper robe of fine linen, and all the Levites who are bearing the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah head of the burden of the singers; and on David [is] an Ephod of linen. ²⁸ And all Israel are bringing up the ark of the covenant of Yahweh with shouting, and with the sound of a cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, sounding with psalteries and harps,

⁷ On that day then has David given at the beginning to give thanks to Yahweh by the hand of Asaph and his brethren:-- ⁸ Give thanks to Yahweh, call in His name, Make known among the peoples His doings. ⁹ Sing you to Him, sing psalms to Him, Meditate on all His wonders. ¹⁰ Boast yourselves in His holy name, Rejoice does the heart of those seeking Yahweh. ¹¹ Seek you Yahweh and His strength, Seek His face continually. ¹² Remember His wonders that He did, His signs, and the judgments of His mouth, ¹³ O seed of Israel, His servant, O sons of Jacob, His chosen ones!" ¹⁴ He [is] Yahweh our Elohim, In all the earth [are] His judgments. ¹⁵ Remember you to the eon His covenant, The word He commanded--To a thousand generations, ¹⁶ Which He has made with Abraham, And His oath--to Isaac, ¹⁷ And He establishes it to Jacob for a statute, To Israel--a covenant eonian. ¹⁸ Saying:To you I give the land of Canaan, The portion of your inheritance, ¹⁹ When you are few of number, As a little thing, and sojourners in it. ²⁰ And they go up and down, From nation unto nation, And from a kingdom unto another people. ²¹ He has not suffered any to oppress them, And reproves on their account kings. ²² Come not against Mine anointed ones, And against My prophets do not evil. ²³ Sing to Yahweh, all the earth, Proclaim from day unto day His salvation. ²⁴ Rehearse among nations His glory, Among all the peoples His wonders. ²⁵ For great [is] Yahweh, and praised greatly, And fearful He [is] above all elohims. ²⁶ For all elohims of the peoples [are] nought, And Yahweh the heavens has made. ²⁷ Honor and majesty [are] before Him, Strength and joy [are] in His place. ²⁸ Ascribe to Yahweh, you families of peoples, Ascribe to Yahweh honor and strength. ²⁹ Ascribe to Yahweh the honor of His name, Lift up a present, and come before Him. Bow yourselves to Yahweh, In the beauty of holiness. ³⁰ Be pained before Him, all the earth. ³¹ Also, established is the world, It is not moved! The heavens rejoice, and the earth is glad, And they say among nations:Yahweh has reigned. ³² Roar does the sea, and its fulness, Exult does the field, and all that [is] in it, ³³ Then sing do trees of the forest, From the presence of Yahweh, For He has come to judge the earth!" ³⁴ Give thanks to Yahweh, for good, For to the eon, [is] His kindness, ³⁵ And say, Save us, O Elohim of our salvation, And gather us, and deliver us from the nations, To give thanks to Your holy name, To triumph in Your praise. ³⁶ Blessed [is] Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, From the eon and unto the eon;' And all the people say, `Amen,' and have given praise to Yahweh.

²⁰ And David said to all the assembly, `Bless, I pray you, Yahweh your Elohim;' and all the assembly bless Yahweh, Elohim of their fathers, and bow and do obeisance to Yahweh, and to the king. ²¹ And they sacrifice to Yahweh sacrifices, and cause to ascend burnt-offerings to Yahweh on the morrow of that day, bullocks a thousand, rams a thousand, lambs a thousand, and their oblations, even sacrifices in abundance, for all Israel. ²² And they eat and drink before Yahweh on that day with great joy, and cause Solomon son of David to reign a second time, and anoint [him] before Yahweh for leader, and Zadok for priest.

¹⁰ And on the twenty and third day of the seventh month he has sent the people to their tents, rejoicing, and glad in heart, for the goodness that Yahweh has done to David, and to Solomon, and to Israel His people.

²¹ And they conspire against him, and stone him with stones by the command of the king, in the court of the house of Yahweh, ²² and Joash the king has not remembered the kindness that Jehoiada his father did with him, and slays his son, and in his death he said, `Yahweh does see, and require.. ²³ And it comes to pass, at the turn of the year, come up has the force of Aram against him, and they come in unto Judah and Jerusalem, and destroy all the heads of the people from the people, and all their spoil they have sent to the king of Damascus, ²⁴ for with few men have the force of Aram come in, and Yahweh has given into their hand a mighty force for multitude, because they have forsaken Yahweh, Elohim of their fathers; and with Joash they have executed judgments. ²⁵ And in their going from him--for they left him with many diseases--his servants themselves have conspired against him, for the blood of the sons of Jehoiada the priest, and slay him on his bed, and he dies; and they bury him in the city of David, and have not buried him in the graves of the kings.

²² And Hezekiah speaks unto the heart of all the Levites, those giving good understanding concerning Yahweh, and they eat the appointed thing seven days; sacrificing sacrifices of peace-offerings, and making confession to Yahweh, Elohim of their fathers. ²³ And all the assembly take counsel to keep other seven days, and they keep seven days [with] joy;" ²⁴ for Hezekiah king of Judah has presented to the assembly a thousand bullocks, and seven thousand sheep; and the heads have presented to the assembly bullocks a thousand, and sheep ten thousand; and priests sanctify themselves in abundance. ²⁵ And all the assembly of Judah rejoice, and the priests, and the Levites, and all the assembly, those coming in from Israel, and the sojourners, those coming in from the land of Israel, and those dwelling in Judah, ²⁶ and there is great joy in Jerusalem; for from the days of Solomon son of David king of Israel there is not like this in Jerusalem, ²⁷ and the priests, the Levites, rise and bless the people, and their voice is heard, and their prayer comes in to His holy habitation, to the heavens.

²⁰ And Hezekiah the king prays, and Isaiah son of Amoz the prophet, concerning this, and they cry to the heavens, ²¹ and Yahweh sends a messenger, and cuts off every mighty one of valor--both leader and head--in the camp of the king of Asshur, and he turns back with shame of face to his land, and enters the house of his elohim, and those coming out of his bowels have caused him to fall there by the sword. ²² And Yahweh saves Hezekiah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib king of Asshur, and from the hand of all, and He leads them round about;" ²³ and many are bringing in an offering to Yahweh, to Jerusalem, and precious things to Hezekiah king of Judah, and he is lifted up before the eyes of all the nations after this. ²⁴ In those days has Hezekiah been sick even unto death, and he prays unto Yahweh, and He speaks to him, and a wonder has appointed for him;" ²⁵ and Hezekiah has not returned according to the deed [done] unto him, for his heart has been lofty, and there is wrath upon him, and upon Judah and Jerusalem;" ²⁶ and Hezekiah is humbled for the loftiness of his heart, he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the wrath of Yahweh has not come upon them in the days of Hezekiah.

¹ And the people of the land take Jehoahaz son of Josiah, and cause him to reign instead of his father in Jerusalem. ² A son of three and twenty years [is] Jehoahaz in his reigning, and three months he has reigned in Jerusalem, ³ and turn him aside does the king of Egypt in Jerusalem, and fines the land a hundred talents of silver, and a talent of gold;" ⁴ and the king of Egypt causes Eliakim his brother to reign over Judah and Jerusalem, and turns his name to Jehoiakim; and Jehoahaz his brother has Necho taken, and brings him in to Egypt. ⁵ A son of twenty and five years [is] Jehoiakim in his reigning, and eleven years he has reigned in Jerusalem, and he does the evil thing in the eyes of Yahweh his Elohim;" ⁶ against him has Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon come up, and binds him in brazen fetters to take him away to Babylon. ⁷ And of the vessels of the house of Yahweh has Nebuchadnezzar brought in to Babylon, and puts them in his temple in Babylon. ⁸ And the rest of the matters of Jehoiakim, and his abominations that he has done, and that which is found against him, lo, they are written on the book of the kings of Israel and Judah, and reign does Jehoiachin his son in his stead. ⁹ A son of eight years is Jehoiachin in his reigning, and three months and ten days he has reigned in Jerusalem, and he does the evil thing in the eyes of Yahweh;" ¹⁰ and at the turn of the year has king Nebuchadnezzar sent and brings him in to Babylon, with the desirable vessels of the house of Yahweh, and causes Zedekiah his brother to reign over Judah and Jerusalem. ¹¹ A son of twenty and one years [is] Zedekiah in his reigning, and eleven years he has reigned in Jerusalem;" ¹² and he does the evil thing in the eyes of Yahweh his Elohim, he has not been humbled before Jeremiah the prophet [speaking] from the mouth of Yahweh;"

⁷ and my heart reigns over me, and I strive with the freemen, and with the prefects, and say to them, `Usury one upon another you are exacting;' and I set against them a great assembly, <sup>8</sup> and say to them, `We have acquired our brethren the Jews, those sold to the nations, according to the ability that [is] in us, and you also sell your brethren, and they have been sold to us!' and they are silent, and have not found a word. ⁹ And I say, `Not good [is] the thing that you are doing; in the fear of our Elohim do you not walk, because of the reproach of the nations our enemies? <sup>10</sup> And also, I, my brethren, and my servants, are exacting of them silver and corn; let us leave off, I pray you, this usury. <sup>11</sup> Give back, I pray you, to them, as to-day, their fields, their vineyards, their olive-yards, and their houses, and the hundredth [part] of the money, and of the corn, of the new wine, and of the oil, that you are exacting of them.. <sup>12</sup> And they say, `We give back, and of them we seek nothing; so we do as you are saying.' And I call the priests, and cause them to swear to do according to this thing;" ¹³ also, my lap I have shaken, and I say, `Thus does Elohim shake out every man, who does not perform this thing, from his house, and from his labor; yea, thus is he shaken out and empty;' and all the assembly say, `Amen,' and praise Yahweh; and the people do according to this thing.

¹⁵ the former governors who [are] before me have made themselves heavy on the people, and take of them in bread and wine, besides in silver forty shekels; also, their servants have ruled over the people--and I have not done so, because of the fear of Elohim.

² and I charge Hanani my brother, and Hananiah head of the palace, concerning Jerusalem--for he [is] as a man of truth, and fearing Elohim above many-.

⁸ and it is very displeasing to me, and I cast all the vessels of the house of Tobiah without, out of the chamber, ⁹ and I speak, and they cleanse the chambers, and I bring back thither the vessels of the house of Elohim with the present and the frankincense. ¹⁰ And I know that the portions of the Levites have not been given, and they flee each to his field--the Levites and the singers, doing the work. ¹¹ And I strive with the prefects, and say, `Wherefore has the house of Elohim been forsaken?' and I gather them, and set them on their station;"

¹⁵ In those days I have seen in Judah those treading wine-vats on sabbath, and bringing in the sheaves, and lading on the asses, and also, wine, grapes, and figs, and every burden, yea, they are bringing in to Jerusalem on the sabbath-day, and I testify in the day of their selling provision.

And I am bringing down, as a sturdy one, their dwellers, ¹⁴ and my hand is finding, as a nest, the estate of the peoples, and, as one gathers forsaken eggs, the entire earth do I gather. And no one comes to be ruffling a wing, or opening wide the mouth and chirping."

³ It is formed to support the preservation of welfare, welfare that trusts in You." ⁴ Trust in Yahweh for the futures of the future. For in Yah, Yahweh is a Rock for the eons."

His bread shall be bestowed. His water shall be assured."

⁷ Is it not to share your bread with the famishing, and the humble, brought down, shall you bring home? In case you are seeing the naked, then you cover him with a cloak? And from your own flesh you are not obscuring yourself? ⁸ Then your light shall be rent as the dawn, and your longevity with haste shall sprout. And there goes before you your righteousness. And the glory of Yahweh shall gather about you." ⁹ Then you will call, and Yahweh will answer, you will implore, and He will say, "Behold Me!You should take away from your midst the slider bar, and the pointing of the finger and speaking lawlessness, ¹⁰ and promote for the famishing the bread for your soul, and the humbled soul shall you satisfy. Then radiant will be your light in the darkness, and your gloom as the noon." ¹¹ And you are guided by Yahweh continually, and He satisfies, on a garish day, your soul. And your bones will He liberate. And you become as a soaked garden, and as a vent of water whose waters are not defaulting."

¹⁶ Answering are Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego and saying to king Nebuchadnezzar, "Not necessary is it for us to reply to you concerning this rescript." ¹⁷ Should it actually happen, our Eloah in the heavens, Whom we are serving, can deliver us from the glowing, flaming furnace; and from your hand, O king, will He deliver us." ¹⁸ Should He not, be it known to you, O king, that actually your elohim we will not serve, and the golden image that you set up we will not worship."

²⁷ Only, O king, may my counsel to you be seemly:Break off your sins by being just, and your depravities by being gracious to the humble, in case your days of ease should be lengthened."

¹⁰ When Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house. Now the windows were opened for him in his upper chamber toward Jerusalem. "Then understand what is in the word and understand what is in the sight."

³ Both palms are set upon the evil to do it thoroughly:The chief is asking, also the judge, for a repayment, and the great one, he is speaking the woe of his soul. And they are entwining it."

³ They, indeed, then, tarry a considerable time, speaking boldly in the Lord, Who is testifying to the word of His grace, granting signs and miracles to occur through their hands."

²⁰ Ideally! By unbelief are they broken out, yet you stand in faith. Be not haughty, but fear."

³ Yet I fear lest somehow, as the serpent deludes Eve by its craftiness, your apprehensions should be corrupted from the singleness and pureness which is in Christ. " ⁴ For if, indeed, he who is coming is heralding another Jesus whom we do not herald, or you are obtaining a different spirit, which you did not obtain, or a different evangel, which you do not receive, you are bearing with him ideally. "

⁹ Now, those intending to be rich are falling into a trial and a trap and the many foolish and harmful desires which are swamping men in extermination and destruction." ¹⁰ For a root of all of the evils is the fondness for money, which some, craving, were led astray from the faith and try themselves on all sides with much pain."

¹⁷ Those who are rich in the current eon be charging not to be haughty, nor yet to rely on the dubiousness of riches, but on God, Who is tendering us all things richly for our enjoyment;"

¹⁵ and that from a babe you are acquainted with the sacred scriptures which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

³ For the era will be when they will not tolerate sound teaching, but, their hearing being tickled, they will heap up for themselves teachers in accord with their own desires, " ⁴ and, indeed, they will be turning their hearing away from the truth, yet will be turned aside to myths."

¹ We may be afraid then, lest at some time, a promise being left of entering into His stopping, anyone of you may be seeming to be deficient."

³⁷ They are stoned, they are sawn, they are tried, they died, murdered by the sword; they wandered about in sheepskins, in goatskins, in want, afflicted, maltreated" ³⁸ (of whom the world was not worthy), straying in wildernesses and mountains and caves and the holes of the earth."

Let him show his works by an ideal behavior in meekness of wisdom. ¹⁴ Now if you are having bitter jealousy and faction in your heart, are you not vaunting against and falsifying the truth? ¹⁵ This is not the wisdom coming down from above, but terrestrial, soulish, demoniacal. " ¹⁶ For wherever jealousy and faction are, there is turbulence also, and every bad practice." ¹⁷ Now the wisdom from above is first, indeed, pure, thereupon peaceable, lenient, compliant, bulging with mercy and good fruits, undiscriminating, unfeigned." ¹⁸ Now the fruit of righteousness is being sown in peace for those making peace.

¹⁷ And if you are invoking the Father, Who is judging impartially according to each one's work, you may behave, for the time of your sojourn, with fear,

³ For sufficient is the time which has passed by to have effected the intention of the nations, having gone on in wantonness, lusts, debauches, revelries, drinking bouts, and illicit idolatries, ⁴ while they are thinking it strange of you not to race together into the same puddle of profligacy, calumniating you;"

⁸ Be sober! Watch! For your plaintiff, the Adversary, is walking about as a roaring lion, seeking someone to swallow up;"

¹ Yet there came to be false prophets also among the people, as among you also there will be false teachers who will be smuggling in destructive sects, even disowning the Owner Who buys them, bringing on themselves swift destruction." ² And many will be following out their wantonness, because of whom the glory of the truth will be calumniated, ³ and in greed, with suave words, they will traffic in you, whose judgment of old is not idling, and their destruction is not nodding."

¹⁵ And be deeming the patience of our Lord salvation, according as our beloved brother Paul also writes to you, according to the wisdom given to him, ¹⁶ as also in all the epistles, speaking in them concerning these things, in which are some things hard to apprehend, which the unlearned and unstable are twisting, as the rest of the scriptures also, to their own destruction."

⁸ If we should be saying that we have no sin we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us." ⁹ If we should be avowing our sins, He is faithful and just that He may be pardoning us our sins and should be cleansing us from all injustice." ¹⁰ If we should be saying that we have not sinned, we are making Him a liar, and His word is not in us."

²⁷ And the anointing which you obtained from Him is remaining in you, and you have no need that anyone may be teaching you, but as His anointing is teaching you concerning all, and is true, and is no lie, according as it teaches you also, remain in Him."

³ Beloved, giving all diligence to be writing to you concerning our common salvation and life, I have had the necessity to write to you, entreating you to be contending for the faith once given over to the saints."

¹⁰ Fear nothing that you are about to be suffering. Lo! the Adversary is about to be casting some of you into jail that you may be tried, and you will be having affliction ten days. Become faithful until death, and I shall be giving you the wreath of life."

³ Remember, then, how you have obtained, and hear; keep it and repent. If ever, then, you should not be watching, I shall be arriving on you as a thief, and under no circumstances will you be knowing what hour I shall be arriving on you."
