³ Then Judas, who gives Him up, perceiving that He was condemned, regretting, turns back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders,

⁵ That the jubilation of the wicked is brief, And the rejoicing of the polluted lasts but a moment?

¹⁵ The estate he has swallowed down, he shall vomit it up; El shall evict it from his belly. ¹⁶ He shall suck the poison of cobras; The tongue of a puff-adder shall kill him. ¹⁷ He shall not see the rillets, The streams of watercourses flowing with honey and clotted cream. ¹⁸ He must return the fruit of his labor and not swallow it down, And in the estate of his commerce, he has no enjoyment. ¹⁹ For he has maltreated, he has forsaken the poor; He has pillaged a house which he did not build. ²⁰ For he has not known ease from the craving of his belly; From his coveting, he has not tried to escape. ²¹ There was nothing surviving for him as food. Therefore his good state cannot hope to last. ²² When his affluence is full there shall be distress for him; Every means of misery shall come upon him. ²³ It shall come to be, in order to fill his belly, That He shall send against him the heat of His anger And shall rain it upon him as his nourishment. ²⁴ He shall have to run away from a weapon of iron; An arrow of a copper bow shall pass through him. ²⁵ It will be pulled out and be brought forth from his body, And a flashing blade from his bile; Dread shall come over him. ²⁶ Total darkness lies buried for his secluded riches; A fire that was not blown shall devour him; It shall imperil anything surviving in his tent. ²⁷ The heavens shall expose his depravity, And the earth will rise against him. ²⁸ The deluge shall deport his house, Spilling over in the day of His anger. ²⁹ This is the portion from Elohim for the wicked person, And the allotment assigned him by El.

¹⁴ Then one of the twelve who is termed Judas Iscariot, having gone to the chief priests, said, "What are you willing to give me, and I will be giving Him up to you? ¹⁵ Now they weigh for him thirty pieces of silver. ¹⁶ And thenceforth he sought an opportunity that he may be giving Him up.

⁴⁷ And at His still speaking, lo! Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a vast throng with swords and cudgels, from the chief priests and elders of the people." ⁴⁸ Now he who is giving Him up gives them a sign, saying, "Whomsoever I should be kissing, He it is. Hold Him." ⁴⁹ And immediately, coming to Jesus, he said, "Rejoice, Rabbi!And he kisses Him fondly." ⁵⁰ Yet Jesus said to him, "Comrade, for what are you present?Then, approaching, they laid hands on Jesus and hold Him."

¹⁰ And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, came away to the chief priests that he may be giving Him up to them." ¹¹ Now those who hear him rejoice, and promise to give him silver. And he sought how he may be opportunely giving Him up."

⁴³ And straightway, while He is still speaking, coming along is Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, and with him a vast throng with swords and cudgels, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders." ⁴⁴ Now he who is giving Him up had given them a signal, saying, "Whomever I should be kissing, He it is. Hold Him, and lead Him away securely." ⁴⁵ And, coming, straightway coming to Him, he is saying, "Rabbi, Rabbi,and he kisses Him fondly." ⁴⁶ Now they lay their hands on Him and hold Him.

² And the chief priests and the scribes sought how they may be assassinating Him, for they feared the people." ³ Yet Satan entered into Judas, called Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve." ⁴ And, coming away, he confers with the chief priests and officers how he may be giving Him up to them." ⁵ And they rejoiced, and they agreed to give him silver." ⁶ And he acquiesces, and sought an opportunity to give Him up to them minus a throng."

⁴⁷ At His still speaking, lo! a throng, and he who is termed Judas, one of the twelve, came before them, and he draws near Jesus to kiss Him." ⁴⁸ Now Jesus said to him, "Judas, with a kiss are you giving up the Son of Mankind?

² And at the coming of dinner, the Adversary already having cast into the heart of Judas, son of Simon Iscariot, that he may be giving Him up,

²⁷ And after the morsel, then, Satan entered into that man. Jesus, then, is saying to him, "What you are doing, do more quickly."

³ Judas, then, getting a squad and deputies of the chief priests and Pharisees, is coming there with lanterns and torches and weapons."

¹⁰ For sorrow according to God is producing repentance for unregretted salvation, yet the sorrow of the world is producing death."
