Luke 9:54 Cross References - CLV

⁵⁴ Now perceiving it, His disciples, James and John, say, "Lord, art Thou willing? May we be telling fire to descend from heaven and consume them, as Elijah also does?

² And the king calls for the Gibeonites, and said unto them--as to the Gibeonites, they [are] not of the sons of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorite, and the sons of Israel had sworn to them, and Saul seeks to smite them in his zeal for the sons of Israel and Judah-.

¹⁰ And Elijah answers and speaks unto the head of the fifty, `And if I [am] a man of Elohim, fire does come down from the heavens, and consume you and your fifty;' and fire comes down from the heavens, and consumes him and his fifty. <sup>11</sup> And he turns and sends unto him another head of fifty and his fifty, and he answers and speaks unto him, `O man of Elohim, thus said the king, Haste, come down.. ¹² And Elijah answers and speaks unto them, `If I [am] a man of Elohim, fire does come down from the heavens, and consume you and your fifty;' and fire of Elohim comes down from the heavens, and consumes him and his fifty. <sup>13</sup> And he turns and sends a third head of fifty and his fifty, and the third head of fifty goes up, and comes in, and bows on his knees over-against Elijah, and makes supplication unto him, and speaks unto him, `O man of Elohim, let be precious, I pray you, my soul and the soul of your servants--these fifty--in your eyes. ¹⁴ Lo, come down has fire from the heavens, and consumes the two heads of the former fifties and their fifties; and, now, let my soul be precious in your eyes..

¹⁶ and said, `Come with me, and look on my zeal for Yahweh;' and they cause him to ride in his chariot.

³¹ And Jehu has not taken heed to walk in the law of Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, with all his heart, he has not turned aside from the sins of Jeroboam, that he caused Israel to sin.

²⁹ And now, Lord, take notice of their threatenings, and be Thou endowing Thy slaves with all boldness to be speaking Thy word, ³⁰ by the stretching out of Thy hand for healing and signs and miracles to occur through the name of Thy holy Boy Jesus."

¹⁹ Now you are aware, my beloved brethren! Yet let every man be swift to hear, tardy to speak, tardy to anger, ²⁰ for the anger of man is not working the righteousness of God.

¹⁴ Now if you are having bitter jealousy and faction in your heart, are you not vaunting against and falsifying the truth? ¹⁵ This is not the wisdom coming down from above, but terrestrial, soulish, demoniacal. " ¹⁶ For wherever jealousy and faction are, there is turbulence also, and every bad practice." ¹⁷ Now the wisdom from above is first, indeed, pure, thereupon peaceable, lenient, compliant, bulging with mercy and good fruits, undiscriminating, unfeigned." ¹⁸ Now the fruit of righteousness is being sown in peace for those making peace.

³ And I perceived one of its heads as if it had been slain to death, and its death blow was cured, and the whole earth marvels after the wild beast."
