⁴⁴ Now He said to them, "These are My words, which I speak to you, still being with you, for all must be fulfilled that is written in the law of Moses and the prophets and psalms concerning Me."

¹⁵ And enmity am I setting between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed. He shall hurt your head and you shall hurt his heel.

¹⁸ And Melchizedek, king of Salem, brings forth bread and wine.

¹⁸ and blessed, in your seed, shall be all the nations of the earth, inasmuch as you hearken to My voice.

¹⁰ Not withdraw shall the sceptre from Judah, nor a statue-maker's staff from between his feet, till it be that ease shall come to him. And to it shall the expectation of the people be.

² Yahweh said to Moses:Speak to Aaron your brother that he must not come at just any time into the holy place, inside the curtain before the propitiatory shelter which is on the coffer so that he may not die, for in the cloud shall I appear over the propitiatory shelter. ³ In this way shall Aaron come into the holy place:with a young bull, the calf of the herd, as a sin offering, and a ram as an ascent offering. ⁴ The holy linen tunic shall he put on, and linen breeches shall be over his flesh, and with a linen sash shall he gird himself, and with a linen turban shall he be turbaned; they are holy garments. He will bathe his flesh in water and put them on. ⁵ From the congregation of the sons of Israel shall he take two hairy goats as a sin offering and one ram as an ascent offering. ⁶ Aaron will bring near the young bull of the sin offering which is for himself, and he will make a propitiatory shelter about himself and about his house. ⁷ He will take the two hairy goats and stand them before Yahweh at the opening of the tent of appointment. ⁸ Then Aaron will cast lots over the two hairy goats, one lot for Yahweh and one lot for the goat of departure. ⁹ Aaron will bring near the hairy goat over which the lot for Yahweh comes up and make it a sin offering. ¹⁰ Yet the hairy goat over which the lot for the goat of departure comes up shall stay alive before Yahweh to make a propitiatory shelter over it and to send it away as the goat of departure to the wilderness. ¹¹ Aaron will bring near the young bull of the sin offering which is for him, and make a propitiatory shelter about himself and about his house. He will slay the young bull of the sin offering which is for himself. ¹² Then he will take a full fire-pan of embers of fire off the altar from before Yahweh and both his hands full of thin incense spices and bring it inside the curtain; ¹³ he will put the incense on the fire before Yahweh, and the cloud of incense will cover the propitiatory shelter which is on the testimony, so that he may not die. ¹⁴ He will take some of the blood of the young bull and spatter it with his finger on the face of the propitiatory shelter eastward, and before the propitiatory shelter shall he spatter some of the blood seven times with his finger. ¹⁵ He will slay the hairy goat of the sin offering which is for the people, and bring its blood inside the curtain and do with its blood just as he did with the blood of the young bull, and spatter it on the propitiatory shelter and before the propitiatory shelter. ¹⁶ Thus he will make a propitiatory shelter over the holy place because of the uncleannesses of the sons of Israel and because of their transgressions, for all their sins. So shall he do for the tent of appointment that is tabernacling with them in the midst of their uncleannesses. ¹⁷ No human at all shall come to be in the tent of appointment when he enters to make a propitiatory shelter in the holy place until his coming forth. He will make a propitiatory shelter about himself and about his household and about the whole assembly of Israel. ¹⁸ Then he will come forth to the altar which is before Yahweh and make a propitiatory shelter over it. He will take some of the blood of the young bull and some of the blood of the hairy goat and put it on the horns of the altar round about. ¹⁹ He will spatter some of the blood on it with his finger seven times and cleanse it and hallow it from the uncleannesses of the sons of Israel.

⁸ Yahweh said to Moses:Make for yourself a burning serpent and place it on a banner pole; and it will come to be that anyone bitten, when he sees it, will live.

²⁵ and the congregation will rescue the manslayer from the hand of the redeemer of blood, and the congregation will restore him to his city of asylum where he had fled. He will dwell in it until the death of the great priest, whom one anointed with the holy oil.

¹⁵ A Prophet from among you, from your brothers, like me, shall Yahweh your Elohim raise up for you. To Him shall you hearke. ¹⁶ according to all that you asked from Yahweh your Elohim at Horeb on the day of assembly, saying:Let me not continue to hear the voice of Yahweh my Elohim, and let me not see this great fire any further so that I may not die!" ¹⁷ Then Yahweh said to me:They have done well in all that they have spoken. ¹⁸ A Prophet shall I raise up to them from among their brothers, like you, and I will put My words in His mouth, and He will speak to them all that I shall instruct Him. ¹⁹ Yet it will come to be that the man who should not hearken to My words that the Prophet shall speak in My name, I Myself shall require his blood from him.

¹ Why are the nations perturbed? And why do the national groups mumble empty phrases? ² The kings of the earth are standing by, And the chancellors are gathered together Against Yahweh and against His Anointed, saying, ³ Let us pull away their bonds, And let us fling off their ropes from us. ⁴ The One sitting in the heavens, He shall ridicule; Yahweh, He shall deride them. ⁵ Then He shall speak to them in His anger, And in His hot anger He shall fill them with panic, saying, ⁶ I will pour a libation on My King, On Zion, My holy mountain. ⁷ Let me recount the statute of Yahweh:He has said to Me, My Son are You; I, today, have begotten You. ⁸ Ask of Me, And I will give the nations as Your allotment, And as Your holding, the limits of the earth. ⁹ You shall smash them with a club of iron; Like a vessel of a potter, You shall shatter them. ¹⁰ And now, O kings, be intelligent; Be admonished, all judges of the earth;" ¹¹ Serve Yahweh with fear, And exult with quivering. ¹² Bear admonition lest He should be angry, And you should perish in the way, For His anger shall consume speedily. Happy are all those taking refuge in Him.

⁹ Wherefore, my heart rejoices, and my glory shall exult; Indeed, my flesh, it shall tabernacle in serenity." ¹⁰ For You shall not forsake my soul in the unseen; You shall not allow Your benign one to see corruption. ¹¹ You shall acquaint me with the path of life; Satisfying rejoicings are in Your presence; Pleasantness is at Your right hand. {Permanent{

Let Him rescue him, since He delights in him!" ⁹ Indeed You were the One rushing me forth from the belly, Causing me to trust on my mother's breasts." ¹⁰ On You was I flung from the womb; From my mother's belly, You have been my El." ¹¹ O do not be far from me, For distress is near, Because there is no one helping." ¹² Many young bulls surround me; Sturdy ones of Bashan, they compass me about." ¹³ They open their mouth wide against me Like a lion, ravening and roaring." ¹⁴ I am poured out like water, And all my bones are disjointed. My heart has become like wax; It is melted in the midst of my bowels." ¹⁵ My vigor is dried up like earthenware, And my tongue clings to my jaws; You bring me low to the soil of death." ¹⁶ For curs have surrounded me; The crowd of evildoers has encompassed me; They dig into my hands and my feet. ¹⁷ I number all my bones; They look; they stare at me. ¹⁸ They apportion my garments among themselves, And they cast the lot for my clothing." ¹⁹ Yet You, O Yahweh, do not be far away! My Fortitude, do hurry to my help!" ²⁰ Do rescue my soul from the sword, My only one from the paw of the cur." ²¹ Save me from the mouth of the lion And from the horns of the wild bulls-- You have answered me! ²² Let me recount Your Name to my brothers; In the midst of the assembly shall I praise You. ²³ Those fearing Yahweh, praise Him! All the seed of Jacob, glorify Him! And revere Him, all the seed of Israel!" ²⁴ For He has neither despised Nor abominated the humiliation of the humbled, And He has not concealed His face from him. But when he implored to Him, He hearkened." ²⁵ From You comes my praise in the vast assembly; I shall pay my vows in front of those fearing Him. ²⁶ The humbled shall eat and shall be satisfied; And those seeking after Him shall praise Yahweh. May their hearts live for the future. ²⁷ All the limits of the earth shall remember and return to Yahweh, And all the families of the nations shall bow down before Him." ²⁸ For Yahweh's is the kingdom, And He is the One ruling among the nations." ²⁹ Yea, to Him shall bow down All those about to be sleeping in the earth; Before Him shall crouch All those descending to the soil. And he who did not keep his soul alive--" ³⁰ His seed shall serve Him; It shall be recounted about Yahweh To the generation that is coming. ³¹ And they shall tell of His righteousness To a people about to be born. Declaring that He has done this.

⁶ Sacrifice and approach present You do not desire, Yet a body have You prepared for me. The ascent approach and sin offering You do not ask for." ⁷ Then I said, Behold, I have come! In the roll of the scroll it is written concerning me;" ⁸ I delight to do what is acceptable to You, my Elohim, And Your law is in the midst of my internal parts."

¹ {Davidic{ Save me, O Elohim, for waters come unto my soul!" ² I sink in the mire of a swamp, and there is no standing ground. I come into deep waters, and the surge engulfs me." ³ I am weary with all my calling; my throat is parched. My eyes have failed, waiting for my Elohim." ⁴ Multiplied more than the hairs of my head are those hating me gratuitously; Plentiful are those seeking to efface me, my enemies, dealing falsely. Must I restore then what I have not pillaged? ⁵ O Elohim, You know my folly, And my guilty acts are not suppressed from You." ⁶ Let not those expecting You be put to shame through me, O my Lord, Yahweh of hosts! Let not those seeking You be mortified through me, O Elohim of Israel!" ⁷ For on Your account I bear reproach; Mortification covers my face. ⁸ I have become an alien to my brothers And a foreigner to the sons of my mother. ⁹ For the zeal of Your House, it devours me, And the reproaches of those reproaching You, they fall on me." ¹⁰ When I lament by the fasting of my soul, It becomes a reproach against me;" ¹¹ When I make my clothing of sackcloth, I become a proverb to them." ¹² Those sitting in the gateway are mulling over me, And those drinking intoxicants make me the accompaniment of their songs." ¹³ As for me, my prayer is to You, O Yahweh, for a season acceptable. O Elohim, in Your great benignity, answer me with the faithfulness of Your salvation." ¹⁴ Rescue me from the mud, and let me not sink; Let me be rescued from those hating me, and from the depths of the waters." ¹⁵ Let not the surge of the water be engulfing me, Let not the swamp be swallowing me up, And let not the well be blocking off its mouth over me." ¹⁶ Answer me, O Yahweh, for Your benignity is good; Turn toward me according to Your many compassions." ¹⁷ Do not conceal Your face from Your servant, For distress is mine; quickly answer me." ¹⁸ Come near to my soul and redeem it; On account of my enemies, ransom me." ¹⁹ You Yourself know my reproach and my shame and my mortification; In front of You are all my foes. ²⁰ Reproach has broken my heart, and I do feel my mortality; I expect one to sympathize, and there is none, And look for comforters, yet I find not one." ²¹ They give me poison in my repast, And for my thirst they cause me to drink vinegar." ²² Let their table become a trap before them, And a repayment and a snare." ²³ Let their eyes be darkened, kept from seeing, And let their waist be bowed low continually." ²⁴ Pour out Your indignation upon them, And let Your hot anger overtake them." ²⁵ Let their domicile become desolate; Let no one be dwelling in their tents. ²⁶ As for You, they persecute those whom You have smitten, And they are recounting the pain of those wounded by You." ²⁷ Do bestow depravity on their depravity, And let them not come into Your righteousness." ²⁸ Let them be wiped out from the scroll of life, And let them not be written with the righteous." ²⁹ I am humbled and pained. Your salvation, O Elohim--may it make me impregnable." ³⁰ I will praise the Name of Elohim with a song, And I shall magnify Him with acclamation." ³¹ It shall be better to Yahweh than an ox Or a young bull, horned and hoofed." ³² The humbled will see, and they shall rejoice. All those seeking after Elohim, let your heart revive." ³³ For Yahweh is hearkening to the needy, And He does not despise His prisoners." ³⁴ Let the heavens and the earth praise Him, The seas and all moving about in them." ³⁵ For Elohim shall save Zion And shall rebuild the cities of Judah. Then they will dwell there and tenant it, ³⁶ And to the seed of His servants shall they allot it, And those loving His Name shall tabernacle in it. {Permanent{ "

¹ {Solomonic{ O Elohim, bestow Your right judgments on the king, And Your righteousness on the royal son." ² May he adjudicate Your people with righteousness, And Your humbled ones with redress." ³ May the mountains bear peace for the people, And the hills blossom with righteousness." ⁴ May he redress the humbled of the people; May he save the sons of the needy And crush the exploiter. ⁵ He shall abide long as the sun And before the moon, generation after generations." ⁶ He shall descend like rain on the grassland, Like showers, drenching the earth." ⁷ Righteousness shall bud in His day, And abundant peace until the moon is no more." ⁸ He shall hold sway from sea unto sea, And from the stream unto the limits of the earth." ⁹ Before Him His foes shall bow, And His enemies shall lick up the soil." ¹⁰ The kings of Tarshish and the coastlands shall render a tributary present; The kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer levy. ¹¹ And all the kings shall bow down to Him; All nations shall serve Him. ¹² For He shall rescue the needy one imploring, And the humbled one, when there is no helper for him." ¹³ He shall be a refuge for the poor and needy one, And the souls of the needy shall He save." ¹⁴ From fraud and from violence shall He redeem their soul, And their blood shall be precious in His eyes." ¹⁵ So may He live; May one give to Him from Sheba's gold, And may one pray about Him continually; May the entire day bless Him." ¹⁶ There shall come to be a plenitude of cereal in the earth to the summit of the mountains. Its fruit shall rustle like Lebanon, And they of the city shall blossom like herbage of the earth." ¹⁷ His Name shall remain for the eon; Before the sun shall His Name be propagated, And all nations shall bless themselves in Him and call Him happy." ¹⁸ Blessed be Yahweh, Elohim, the Elohim of Israel, Doing marvelous works by Himself alone, ¹⁹ And blessed be His glorious Name for the eon! ⁶ For a Boy is born to us; a Son is given to us, and the chieftainship shall come to be on His shoulder, and His name is called "Marvelous.Counsel to the master shall He bring, to the chief of the future, welfare."

¹ And a Twig shall fare forth from the set slip of Jesse, and a Scion from his roots shall be fruitful." ² And the spirit of Yahweh shall rest on Him:A spirit of wisdom and understanding, a spirit of counsel and mastery, a spirit of knowledge and the fear of Yahweh." ³ And His scent is in the fear of Yahweh. And not by the sight of His eyes will He judge, and not by the hearing of His ears will He correct." ⁴ Yet He will judge with righteousness the poor, and correct with equity for the humble of the land. And He will smite the earth with the club of His mouth, and with the spirit of His lips will He put to death the wicked." ⁵ And it comes that righteousness is the belt of His waist, and faithfulness the band of His loins." ⁶ Then the wolf will sojourn with the he-lamb, and the leopard will recline with the kid. And the calf and the sheltered lion will graze together, and a small lad will lead among them." ⁷ And the young cow and the bear will graze together, and together they will recline their young. And the lion, as the beeve, will eat crushed straw." ⁸ And the sucking will revel over the hole of a cobra, and on the light-shaft of a yellow viper the weanling his hand obtrudes." ⁹ They will not do evil, nor will they ruin, in all My holy mountain, for full is the earth of the knowledge of Yahweh. As water for the sea floor is a covering." ¹⁰ And there comes, in that day, the Root of Jesse, Who will stand for a Banner of the peoples; of Him will the nations inquire, and His rest will come to be glorious."

¹⁶ Wherefore, thus says my Lord Yahweh, "Behold Me laying in Zion a foundation stone, a choice stone, a corner of a precious well-founded foundation. The believer on it shall not be put to shame."

¹ Comfort you, comfort you My people!saying is your Elohim." ² Speak you to the heart of Jerusalem, and call to her, for fulfilled is her enlistment, for run out is her depravity, for she takes from the hand of Yahweh a shelter from all her sins." ³ The voice of one calling:"In the wilderness, surface the way of Yahweh! And straighten, in the gorge, a highway for our Elohim!" ⁴ Every ravine shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill shall be lowered. And all the crooked shall come to be straight, and the knobs a valley." ⁵ And revealed is the glory of Yahweh, and all flesh sees the salvation of Elohim.For the mouth of Yahweh speaks." ⁶ A voice says, "Call!And I say, "What shall I call?All flesh is grass, and all its glory is as the blossom of the field." ⁷ Dry is the grass; decayed is the blossom, for the spirit of Yahweh is reversed in it. Surely, grass are the people." ⁸ Dry is the grass; decayed is the blossom. Yet the word of our Elohim shall be confirmed for the eon." ⁹ On a mountain lofty ascend; go you, tidings-bearer, to Zion! Raise high your voice with vigor, tidings-bearer, to Jerusalem! Raise it high! You must not fear! Say to the cities of Judah, "Behold your Elohim!" ¹⁰ Behold! My Lord Yahweh with steadfastness is coming. And His arm is ruling for Him. Behold! His hire is with Him. And His wage is before Him. ¹¹ As a shepherd He is grazing His drove, and in His arm He is cuddling the lambkins, and in His bosom He is carrying them. The pregnant He is comforting. The unweaned He is conducting."

¹ Behold My Servant! I am upholding Him. My Chosen! Accepted by My soul! I bestow My spirit upon Him, and He shall bring forth judgment to the nations." ² He shall not cry, nor make a tumult, nor cause His voice to be heard outside." ³ A bruised reed He will not break, and dimmed flax He will not quench, for truth will He bring forth judgment." ⁴ And He will not dim nor bruise till He shall place judgment in the earth. And the coastlanders will wait for His law."

¹ Hearken, you coastlanders, to me! And attend, you folkstems, from afar! Yahweh, from the belly, called me; from the bowels of my mother He mentioned my name." ² And He is constituting my mouth as a sharp sword. In the shadow of His hand He hides me. And He is constituting me a choice arrow. In His quiver He conceals me. ³ And He is saying to me, "My servant are you, Israel, in whom I am beautifying Myself." ⁴ And I, I say, "For naught do I labor; for chaos and for vanity I exhaust my vigor. Surely, my judgment is with Yahweh. And my wage is with my Elohim." ⁵ And now, thus says Yahweh, Who formed me from the belly, for His servant, to restore Jacob to Him, when Israel is being gathered to Him. Yet I shall be glorified in the eyes of Yahweh, and my Elohim becomes my help." ⁶ And he is saying to me, "A slight thing is it for you to become My servant, to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and the dispersed of Israel to restore. Behold! I give you also for a light of the nations, to become My salvation unto the ends of the earth." ⁷ Thus says my Lord Yahweh, your Redeemer, the Elohim of Israel, his Holy One, to the despised of His soul, to the abhorred of the nation, to the servant of rulers, "Kings shall see him, and they rise, and chiefs shall also worship him, on account of Yahweh, Who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel, and He shall choose you." ⁸ Thus says Yahweh, "In a season acceptable I answer you. And in a day of salvation I help you. And I will preserve you, and give you for a covenant of the people, to set up the land, to allot the desolated allotments,

² For what reason, when I came, was there no man? I called, and there was no answer? Is My hand too short to ransom? Or should no vigor be in Me to rescue? Behold! By My rebuke will I drain the sea; I will convert streams into a wilderness. Their fish will dry up, because there is no water, and they will die from thirst." ³ I will clothe the heavens with somberness, and I will make sackcloth their covering." ⁴ My Lord Yahweh gives me the tongue of the taught, to know in season to counsel with a word. And He is rousing morning by morning, and He is rousing my ear to hear as the taught." ⁵ My Lord Yahweh Elohim opens my ear, and I do not rebel. Thereafter I am not turned away." ⁶ My body I give to smiters, and my cheeks to burnishers. My face I do not conceal from confoundings and spitting."

¹³ Behold! Intelligent will be My Servant, high, and lifted up, and exceedingly lofty."

¹ The spirit of My Lord Yahweh is on Me, because Yahweh anoints Me to bear tidings to the humble. He sends Me to bind up the broken hearted, to herald to captives, liberty, and, to the blind, the unclosing of the eyes, and, to the bound, to take the jubilee, ² to herald an acceptable year for Yahweh, and a day of vengeance for our Elohim. To comfort all mourners, ³ to give rejoicing to the mourners of Zion, to give to them beauty instead of ashes, the oil of elation instead of mourning, the muffler of praise instead of dimness of spirit. And they are called arbiters of righteousness, the planting of Yahweh, to beautify Himself."

⁵ Lo, days are coming--an affirmation of Yahweh, And I have raised to David a righteous shoot, And a king has reigned and acted wisely, And done judgment and righteousness in the earth."

¹⁴ Lo, days are coming, an affirmation of Yahweh, And I have established the good word That I spoke unto the house of Israel, And concerning the house of Judah."

²² Thus said the Lord Yahweh:I have taken of the foliage of the high cedar, And I have set [it], From the top of its tender shoots a tender one I crop, And I--I have planted [it] on a mountain high and lofty."

²³ And have raised up over them one shepherd, And he has fed them--my servant David, He does feed them, and he is their shepherd,

⁴⁴ In their days, that is, of these kings, the Eloah of the heavens will set up a kingdom that for the eons shall not come to harm. His kingdom shall not be left to another people. It will pulverize and terminate all these kingdoms, and it shall be confirmed for the eons."

¹³ Perceiving am I in the visions of the night, and behold, on the clouds of the heavens, One as a son of a mortal is arriving:Unto the Transferrer of Days He reaches, and they bring Him near before Him;"

²⁴ Seventy sevens are segregated for your people and for your holy city:To detain transgression, to cause sin to end, to make a propitiatory shelter for depravity; to bring the righteousness of the eons, to seal the vision and the prophet, to anoint the holy of holies." ²⁵ And you shall know and be intelligent:From the faring forth of the word to cause a return and to rebuild Jerusalem--from then till Messiah the Governor is seven sevens, and sixty-two sevens. It will return and will be rebuilt, square and salient, even in eras of constraint." ²⁶ After the sixty-two sevens, Messiah will be cut off, and there is no adjudication for Him. The city and the holy place shall be laid in ruins with the other governor's coming; then its end is by an overflow, and till the end of the war desolations will be decided." ²⁷ Then he will be master of a covenant with many for one seven:At half of the seven, he will cause to cease the sacrifice and the approach present; on a wing of the sanctuary shall be desolating abominations. Till the conclusion of the era the decided conclusion will be poured forth on the desolation."

⁷ Yet on the house of Judah will I have compassion, and I will save them by Yahweh, their Elohim. Yet I will not save them by bow, or by sword, or by battle, by horses or by horsemen." ⁸ And she is weaning Lo-ruhamah. And she is becoming pregnant again and is bearing a son. ⁹ And He is saying, Call his name Lo-ammi, for you are not My people, and I am not your I Am Becoming." ¹⁰ Yet the number of the sons of Israel shall become as the sand of the sea, which is not being measured nor numbered. And it comes to be in the place in which it was being said to them, Not My people are you, there shall it be said to them, sons of the living El." ¹¹ And the sons of Judah and the sons of Israel shall be convened together. And they shall place one head over them, and they shall go up from the land, for great is the day of Jezreel."

⁵ Afterward are the sons of Israel returning, and they seek Yahweh their Elohim, and David their king, and they come in awe to Yahweh and to His goodness, in the latter days."

²⁸ And it comes afterward, I shall pour out My spirit on all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your elders shall dream dreams, your chosen ones shall see visions." ²⁹ And, moreover, on the servants and on the maids in those days shall I pour out My spirit." ³⁰ And I will give miracles in the heavens above, and signs on the earth, blood and fire and pillars of smoke." ³¹ The sun shall be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the coming of the day of Yahweh, the great and fearful day." ³² And it comes that everyone who shall call on the name of Yahweh shall escape, for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem, deliverance shall come to be, just as Yahweh says; and among the survivors are those whom Yahweh is calling."

¹¹ In that day will I raise up the fallen booth of David, and I will dike with stones its breaches, and its demolished places will I raise, and I will build it as in the days of the eon,

¹ Now, you shall build yourself a stone dike, daughter of Ephraim; he will place a siege work against us. With a club they will smite the judge of Israel on the cheek." ² And you, Bethlehem Ephratah, inferior to be among the mentors of Judah, from you shall One fare forth for Me to become the Ruler in Israel; yet His farings forth are from aforetime, from days eonian." ³ Wherefore He shall give them up till the season when she who is to bear shall bear, and the rest of his brethren shall return to the sons of Israel." ⁴ And He stands and shepherds His flock in the strength of Yahweh, in the pomp of the name of Yahweh, His Elohim. And they shall dwell, for now shall He be great unto the limits of the land."

⁷ and I will quake all the nations; and the coveted of all the nations shall come. And I will fill this house with glory, says Yahweh of hosts." ⁸ Mine is the silver, and Mine is the gold, (averring is Yahweh of hosts)." ⁹ Greater shall become the glory of this latter house than the former, says Yahweh of hosts. And in this place will I give peace, (averring is Yahweh of hosts)."

¹² And you speak to him, saying, Thus speaks Yahweh of hosts, saying:Behold the man! Sprout is his name. And from under him shall it sprout. And he shall build the temple of Yahweh,

⁹ Exult exceedingly, daughter of Zion! Shout, daughter of Jerusalem! Behold! your King shall come to you! Righteous and endowed with salvation is He. Humble and riding on an ass, and on a colt, the foal of a she-ass."

⁸ And I am suppressing three shepherds in one month. Yet my soul is impatient with them; and, moreover, their soul is nauseated with me." ⁹ Then I am saying, I will not graze you. The dying will die; and the suppressed will be suppressed; and the remainder will eat, each woman, of the flesh of her mate." ¹⁰ And I will take my stick, Pleasantness, and will hack it to pieces, to annul my covenant which I contracted with all the peoples." ¹¹ And it will be annulled in that day. And the traffickers of the flock, who are observing me, shall know that it is the word of Yahweh." ¹² And I am saying to them, If it is good in your eyes, grant my hire. And if not, forbear. And they are weighing my hire, thirty silverlings." ¹³ And Yahweh is saying to me, Fling it to the minter--the noble esteem with which I am esteemed by them! So I am taking the thirty silverlings and am flinging them to the minter in the house of Yahweh."

¹⁰ Yet I pour out on the house of David, and on the dwellers of Jerusalem, a spirit of grace and supplications; and they look to Him Whom they stabbed, and they will wail over Him as the wailing over the only son, and they will be embittered over Him as the embittering over the firstborn."

⁷ O sword! rouse against My Shepherd, and against the Master, My Companion, (averring is Yahweh of hosts). Smite the Shepherd, and the flock is scattering. And I restore My hand on the inferior shepherds."

⁴ And His feet shall stand in that day on the mount of Olives, which is adjoining Jerusalem on the east. And the mount of Olives is rent in half; toward sunrise and seaward is a very great ravine, and half of the mountain removes northward, and half of it toward the south rim."

¹ Behold Me sending My messenger, and he surfaces the way before Me. And suddenly, the Lord Whom you are seeking is coming to his temple, and the Messenger of the covenant, in Whom you are delighting. Behold! He comes! says Yahweh of hosts." ² Yet who will endure the day of His coming? And who will stand when He appears? For He is coming like a refiner's fire, and as launderers' soap." ³ And he shall sit as a refiner and cleanser of silver and gold. And he shall cleanse the sons of Levi, and cupel them as gold and as silver. And they shall come to be for Yahweh, bringing close the approach present in righteousness."

² Yet the Sun of righteousness shall radiate to you who fear My name, and healing is in its wings. And you shall come forth, and you prance as calves of the stall." ³ And you shall tread down the wicked, for they are becoming ashes under the soles of your feet in the day which I am making, says Yahweh of hosts." ⁴ Remember the law of Moses, My servant, which I instruct him in Horeb for all Israel, the statutes and judgments." ⁵ Behold! I will send to you Elijah, the prophet, before the coming of the great and fearful day of Yahweh." ⁶ And he shall restore the heart of the fathers to the sons and the heart of the sons to their fathers, lest I shall come and smite the earth to its doom."

²¹ Thenceforth begins Jesus to show His disciples that He must be coming away into Jerusalem and to be suffering much from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and to be killed, and the third day to be roused."

²² Now at their conspiring in Galilee, Jesus said to them, "The Son of Mankind is about to be given up into the hands of men, ²³ and they will be killing Him, and the third day He will be roused.And they were tremendously sorry."

¹⁸ Lo! we are going up into Jerusalem, and the Son of Mankind will be given up to the chief priests and scribes, and they will be condemning Him to death." ¹⁹ And they will be giving Him up to the nations, to scoff at and scourge and crucify. And the third day He will be roused."

⁵⁴ How, then, may the scriptures be fulfilled, seeing that thus it must occur?

⁵⁶ Now the whole of this has occurred that the scriptures of the prophets may be fulfilled.Then all His disciples, leaving Him, fled."

³¹ And He begins to teach them that the Son of Mankind must be suffering much and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes, and be killed and after three days rise." ³² And with boldness spoke He the word. And, taking Him to him, Peter begins to rebuke Him."

³¹ For He taught His disciples and said to them that "The Son of Mankind is being given up into the hands of men, and they will be killing Him. And, being killed, after three days He will be rising."

³³ Lo! we are going up into Jerusalem, and the Son of Mankind will be given up to the chief priests and the scribes, and they will be condemning Him to death, and will be giving Him up to the men of the nations, ³⁴ and will be scoffing at Him, and spitting on Him, and scourging Him, and killing Him, and after three days He will be rising."

²² saying that "The Son of Mankind must be suffering much, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and the third day be roused."

⁴⁴ You be laying up these sayings in your ears, for the Son of Mankind is about to be given up into the hands of men."

³¹ Now, taking aside the twelve, He said to them, "Lo! we are going up into Jerusalem, and all will be accomplished as to the Son of Mankind that is written through the prophets." ³² For He will be given up to the nations and will be scoffed at and outraged and spat upon, ³³ and, scourging Him, they will be killing Him. And the third day He will be rising." ³⁴ And they understand none of these things, and this declaration was hid from them, and they knew not what was said."

²² for days of vengeance are these, to fulfill all that is written."

³⁷ For I am saying to you that this which is written must be accomplished in Me: And with the lawless is He reckoned. For that also which concerns Me is having its consummation."

⁶ He is not here, but was roused. Be reminded how He speaks to you, being still in Galilee, ⁷ saying that 'The Son of Mankind must be given up into the hands of men, sinners, and be crucified, and the third day rise.'"

²⁶ Must not the Christ be suffering these things, and be entering into His glory? ²⁷ And, beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, He interprets to them, in all the scriptures, that which concerns Himself."

⁴⁶ and said to them that "Thus it is written, and thus must the Christ be suffering and rise from among the dead the third day,

¹⁴ And, according as Moses exalts the serpent in the wilderness, thus must the Son of Mankind be exalted,

³⁹ Search the scriptures, for in them you are supposing you have life eonian, and those are they which are testifying concerning Me,

⁴⁶ For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me, for he writes concerning Me."

⁴ But these things have I spoken to you that, whenever their hour may be coming, you may be remembering them, seeing that I told you. Now these things I did not tell you from the beginning, seeing that I was with you." ⁵ Yet now I am going away to Him Who sends Me, and not one of you is asking Me, 'Whither art Thou going?'"

¹⁶ A little, and no longer are you beholding Me; and again, a little, and you shall be seeing Me." ¹⁷ Some, then, of His disciples said to one another, "What is this that He is saying to us, 'A little, and you are not beholding Me, and again, a little, and you shall be seeing Me?' and that 'I am going away to the Father'?

¹¹ And no longer am I in the world, and they are in the world, and I to Thee am coming. Holy Father, keep them in Thy name, in which Thou hast given them to Me, that they may be one, according as We are." ¹² When I was with them in the world, I kept those whom Thou hast given Me in Thy name, and I guard them, and not one of them perished, except the son of destruction, that the scripture may be fulfilled." ¹³ Yet now to Thee am I coming, and these things am I speaking in the world that they may be having My joy filled full in themselves."

²⁴ They said, then, to one another, "We should not be rending it, but we may take chances on it, whose it shall be,that the scripture may be fulfilled which is saying, "They divide My garments among themselves, And on My vesture they cast the lot.The soldiers, indeed, then, do these things." ²⁵ Now there stood beside the cross of Jesus His mother and the sister of His mother, Mary of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene." ²⁶ Jesus, then, perceiving His mother and the disciple whom He loved standing by, is saying to His mother, "Woman, lo! your son!" ²⁷ Thereafter He is saying to the disciple, "Lo! your mother!And from that hour the disciple took her to his own." ²⁸ After this, Jesus, being aware that all is already accomplished, that the scripture may be perfected, is saying, "I thirst!" ²⁹ Now a vessel lay there distended with vinegar. Sticking a sponge, then, distended with vinegar, on hyssop, they carry it to His mouth." ³⁰ When, then, Jesus took the vinegar, He said, "It is accomplished!And reclining His head, He gives up the spirit." ³¹ The Jews, then, since it was the preparation, lest the bodies should be remaining on the cross on the sabbath (for it was the great day, that sabbath), ask Pilate that they might be fracturing their legs, and they may be taken away." ³² The soldiers, then, came and fractured indeed the legs of the first and of the other who is crucified together with Him." ³³ Yet, coming on to Jesus, as they perceived He had already died, they do not fracture His legs." ³⁴ But one of the soldiers pierces His side with a lance head, and straightway out came blood and water." ³⁵ And he who has seen has testified, and true is his testimony. And he is aware that he is telling the truth, that you, also, should be believing." ³⁶ For these things occurred that the scripture may be fulfilled, "A bone of it shall not be crushed." ³⁷ And again, a different scripture is saying, they shall see Him whom they stab."

¹⁸ Yet what God announces before through the mouth of all the prophets - the suffering of His Christ - He thus fulfills.

²² Moses, indeed, said that: A Prophet will the Lord your God, be raising up to you from among your brethren, as me. Him you shall hear, according to all, whatsoever He should be speaking to you." ²³ Yet it shall be that every soul whatsoever which should not hear that Prophet shall be utterly exterminated from among the people. ²⁴ Now all the prophets also, from Samuel, and consecutively, whoever speak, also announce these days."

³⁷ This is the Moses who says to the sons of Israel: A Prophet will God be raising up to you from among your brethren, as me."

²⁹ Now as they accomplish all that which is written concerning Him, taking Him down from the pole, they place Him in a tomb." ³⁰ Yet God rouses Him from among the dead: ³¹ Who was seen on more days by those who ascend with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are now His witnesses to the people."

³³ that God has fully fulfilled this for our children in raising Jesus, as it is written in the second psalm also, 'My Son art Thou; I, today, have begotten Thee.'"

² Now, as was Paul's custom, he entered to them, and on three sabbaths he argues with them from the scriptures, ³ opening up and placing before them that the Christ must suffer and rise from among the dead, and that "This One is the Christ - the Jesus Whom I am announcing to you."

³ For I give over to you among the first what also I accepted, that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, ⁴ and that He was entombed, and that He has been roused the third day according to the scriptures,

⁵ And Moses, indeed, was faithful in His whole house as an attendant, for a testimony of that which shall be spoken."

¹ For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of God Most High, who meets with Abraham returning from the combat with the kings and blesses him,

⁸ by this the holy spirit making it evident that the way of the holy places is not as yet manifest while the front tabernacle still has a standing:

¹ For the law, having a shadow of the impending good things, not the selfsame image of the matters, they, with their same sacrifices which they are offering year by year, are never able to perfect to a finality those approaching."

¹¹ searching into what or what manner of era the spirit of Christ in them made evident, when testifying beforehand to the sufferings pertaining to Christ and the glories after these."

¹⁰ And I fall in front of his feet to worship him. And he is saying to me, "See! No! A fellow slave of yours am I, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."
