⁴ then I will give your downpours in their season, and the land will give its crop, and the tree of the field shall give its fruit.

²¹ I will enjoin My blessing for you in the sixth year, and it will give the yield for three years.

¹⁴ then He will give rain to your land in its season, the former rain and the latter rain. You will gather your grain, your grape juice and your clarified oil,

¹² Yahweh shall open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give rain to your land in its season and to bless every work of your hand. You will obligate many nations, yet you shall not borrow.

¹ And Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, `Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, lives, before whom I have stood, there is not these years dew and rain, except according to my word..

¹⁰ Who is giving rain on the surface of the earth And sending waters over the surface of the open places.

¹¹ Indeed, He encumbers the thick cloud with soaking moisture; He scatters His lightning cloud, ¹² And He directs them round about, Turning according to His strategies, That their deeds be all that He instructs them On the face of the earth's habitation. ¹³ Whether it be for a club that He fulfills His approved plan, Or for benignity, it is He Who causes it to occur.

²⁵ Who has divided off a trench for overflowing rains And set a pathway for the perceptible portents of thunderclaps, ²⁶ To bring rain on a land where no man is, A wilderness with no human it it, ²⁷ To satisfy areas of ruination and wasteness, And to cause verdure to sprout from the arid place? ²⁸ Is there a father for the rain? Or who has begotten the globules of dew?

⁹ You will supervise the land and shall make it flourish; Much shall you enrich it. The rillet of Elohim will fill with water. You shall provide their grain, for thus shall You prepare it." ¹⁰ You will soak its furrows and settle its slashes; With showers shall You soften it; Its sprouting shall You bless. ¹¹ You will crown the year with Your goodness, And Your rounds shall drip with richness." ¹² The oases of the wilderness shall drip richly, And with exultation the hills shall be girded." ¹³ The meadows will be clothed with the flock, And the vales, they shall droop with cereal grain. They shall raise a joyful shout! Indeed, they shall sing! {Permanent{ "

⁶ The earth, it has given its crop; Elohim, our Elohim, is blessing us."

⁹ A liberal downpour were You waving, O Elohim; Your allotment, when it was tired, You Yourself established it."

¹² Indeed Yahweh Himself shall give good, And our land shall bring forth its crop."

¹³ You are the One irrigating the mountains from His upper chambers; From the fruit of Your works the earth is satisfied:

⁶ And I am making My vineyard into a chaos, and it is not being pruned. And not being hoed, and up come buckthorn and spines. And I am instructing the thick clouds over it to keep from raining rain on it."

²³ And he will give rain for your seed with which you shall sow the ground, and bread, the income of the ground. And it comes to be sleek and stout. Your cattle will graze, in that day, in a widened meadow."

²² Are there among the vanities of the nations any causing rain? And do the heavens give showers? Are not You He, O Yahweh our Elohim? And we wait for you, for You--You have done all these!"

²⁶ And I have given them, and the suburbs of my hill, a blessing, And caused the shower to come down in its season, Showers of blessing they are." ²⁷ And given has the tree of the field its fruit, And the land does give her increase, And they have been on their land confident, And they have known that I [am] Yahweh, In My breaking the bands of their yoke, And I have delivered them from the hand of those laying service on them."

³⁰ And I have multiplied the fruit of the tree, And the increase of the field, So that you receive not any more a reproach of famine among nations."

²³ Then, sons of Zion, exult! And rejoice in Yahweh, your Elohim! For He will give to you the former rain in just measure, and He will bring down for you the downpour, the former rain and the latter rain as at first." ²⁴ The threshing sites shall be full with cereal, and the wine vats shall run over with grape juice and clarified oil."

⁷ And, moreover, I withhold from you the downpour, while still three months to harvest, and I cause rain on one city, and on another city I am not causing rain; one portion was rained upon, and the portion upon which I am not causing rain is drying up." ⁸ And two or three cities rove to one city to drink water, yet they are not satisfied. Yet you do not return unto Me, (averring is Yahweh)."

¹⁸ Set, I pray, your heart from this day and onward. From the twenty fourth day of the ninth month, from the day on which the temple of Yahweh is founded, set your heart." ¹⁹ Is the seed still in the underground hoard? And have the vine and the fig tree and the pomegranate and the olive tree still not borne? From this day will I bless.

¹² For it is the seed of peace; the vine will give its fruit, and the land will give its crop, and the heavens will give their night mist, and I allot to the remnant of this people all these."

⁴⁵ so that you may become sons of your Father Who is in the heavens, for He causes His sun to rise on the wicked and the good, and makes it rain on the just and the unjust.

¹⁷ although He leaves Himself not without the testimony of good acts, giving showers from heaven and fruitbearing seasons, filling our hearts with nourishment and gladness."

⁷ Be patient, then, brethren, till the presence of the Lord. Lo! the farmer is waiting for the precious fruit of the land, being patient about it, till it should be getting the early and late showers."

¹⁷ Elijah was a man of like emotions with us, and he prays in prayer for it not to rain, and it does not rain on the land three years and six months." ¹⁸ And again he prays, and heaven gives a shower and the earth germinates her fruit."

⁶ These have authority to lock heaven, that there may be no shower of rain for the days of their prophecy. And they have authority over the waters to be turning them into blood, and to smite the land with every calamity, as often as they will."
