26 And Joshua writes these words in the Book of the Law of Elohim, and takes a great stone, and raises it up there under the oak which [is] in the sanctuary of Yahweh.

Genesis 28:18-22

18 And early is Jacob rising in the morning, and taking is he the stone which he had placed there for his pillow, and is placing it for a monument, and pouring oil on its top. 19 And calling is Jacob the name of that place Beth-El. Howbeit, Luz was the name of the city at first. 20 And vowing is Jacob a vow, saying, "Should it be coming that Yahweh Elohim stands by me, and keeps me in this way which I am going, and gives to me bread to eat and a garment to put on, 21 and I return in peace to my father's household, then Yahweh becomes my Elohim, 22 and this stone, which I place for a monument, shall become the house of Elohim for me. And of all that You are giving to me, tithe, yea, tithe it will I for You.

Genesis 35:4

4 And giving are they to Jacob all the foreign elohim which are in their hand, and the pendants which are in their ears. And burying them is Jacob under the terebinth which is at Shechem.

Genesis 35:8

8 And dying is Deborah, Rebecca's wet-nurse, and entombed is she below Beth-El, under the oak. And calling is Jacob the name of it Alun-Bakuth.

Exodus 24:4

4 Now Moses wrote all the words of Yahweh. And he rose early in the morning and built an altar below the mountain and twelve stone monuments for the twelve tribes of Israel.

Deuteronomy 31:24-26

24 It came to be as Moses concluded writing all the words of this law on a scroll until they were finished, 25 that Moses instructed the Levites, the carriers of the coffer of the covenant of Yahweh, saying. 26 You are to take this scroll of the law, and you must place it by the side of the coffer of the covenant of Yahweh your Elohim, and it will come to be there as a testimony against you,

Joshua 4:3-9

3 and command you them, saying, Take up for you from this [place], from the midst of the Jordan, from the established standing-place of the feet of the priests, twelve stones, and you have removed them over with you, and placed them in the lodging-place in which you lodge to-night.. 4 And Joshua calls unto the twelve men whom he prepared out of the sons of Israel, one man--one man out of a tribe;" 5 and Joshua said to them, `Pass over before the ark of Yahweh your Elohim unto the midst of the Jordan and lift up for you each, one stone on his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Israel, 6 so that this is a sign in your midst, when your children ask hereafter, saying, What [are] these stones to you? 7 that you have said to them, Because the waters of the Jordan were cut off, at the presence of the ark of the covenant of Yahweh; in its passing over into the Jordan were the waters of the Jordan cut off; and these stones have been for a memorial to the sons of Israel--to the eon.. 8 And the sons of Israel do so as Joshua commanded, and take up twelve stones out of the midst of the Jordan, as Yahweh has spoken unto Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Israel, and remove them over with them unto the lodging-place, and place them there, 9 even the twelve stones has Joshua raised up out of the midst of the Jordan, the place of the standing of the feet of the priests bearing the ark of the covenant, and they are there unto this day.

Joshua 4:20-24

20 and these twelve stones, which they have taken out of the Jordan, has Joshua raised up in Gilgal. 21 And he speaks unto the sons of Israel, saying, `When your sons ask their fathers hereafter, saying, What [are] these stones? 22 then you have caused your sons to know, saying, On dry land Israel passed over this Jordan;" 23 because Yahweh your Elohim dried up the waters of the Jordan at your presence, till your passing over, as Yahweh your Elohim did to the Red Sea which He dried up at our presence till our passing over;" 24 so that all the people of the land do know the hand of Yahweh that it [is] strong, so that you have reverenced Yahweh your Elohim all the days..

Judges 9:6

6 And all the masters of Shechem are gathered together, and all the house of Millo, and come and cause Abimelech to reign for king at the oak of the camp which [is] in Shechem;"
