John 8:54 Cross References - CLV

⁵⁴ Jesus answered, "If I should ever be glorifying Myself, My glory is nothing. It is My Father Who is glorifying Me, of Whom you are saying that He is your God."

⁶ I will pour a libation on My King, On Zion, My holy mountain. ⁷ Let me recount the statute of Yahweh:He has said to Me, My Son are You; I, today, have begotten You. ⁸ Ask of Me, And I will give the nations as Your allotment, And as Your holding, the limits of the earth. ⁹ You shall smash them with a club of iron; Like a vessel of a potter, You shall shatter them. ¹⁰ And now, O kings, be intelligent; Be admonished, all judges of the earth;" ¹¹ Serve Yahweh with fear, And exult with quivering. ¹² Bear admonition lest He should be angry, And you should perish in the way, For His anger shall consume speedily. Happy are all those taking refuge in Him.

²⁷ To eat much honey is not good, Nor is peoples investigation of their own glories a glory."

¹ Hear this, house of Jacob, called by the name of Israel, and those who from the waters of Judah fare forth, those swearing by the name of Yahweh, and the Elohim of Israel are mentioning, not in truth, and not in righteousness, ² for from the holy city are they called, and by the Elohim of Israel are they supported. Yahweh of hosts is His name."

⁵ Hear the word of Yahweh, you who tremble at His word, "Say do your brethren, who are hating you, who are isolating you on account of My name, `Yahweh will be glorified!' Yet He will appear in your rejoicing, and they shall be ashamed."

¹³ Perceiving am I in the visions of the night, and behold, on the clouds of the heavens, One as a son of a mortal is arriving:Unto the Transferrer of Days He reaches, and they bring Him near before Him;" ¹⁴ to Him is granted jurisdiction and esteem and a kingdom, and all the peoples and leagues and language-groups shall serve Him; His jurisdiction, as an eonian jurisdiction, will not pass away, and His kingdom shall not be confined."

⁹ And He is saying, Call his name Lo-ammi, for you are not My people, and I am not your I Am Becoming."

¹¹ This beginning of the signs Jesus does in Cana of Galilee, and manifests His glory, and His disciples believe in Him."

²² For neither is the Father judging anyone, but has given all judging to the Son, ²³ that all may be honoring the Son, according as they are honoring the Father. He who is not honoring the Son is not honoring the Father Who sends Him." ²⁴ Verily, verily, I am saying to you that he who is hearing My word and believing Him Who sends Me, has life eonian and is not coming into judging, but has proceeded out of death into life." ²⁵ Verily, verily, I am saying to you that coming is an hour, and now is, when the dead shall be hearing the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear shall be living." ²⁶ For even as the Father has life in Himself, thus to the Son also He gives to have life in Himself." ²⁷ And He gives Him authority to do judging, seeing that He is a son of mankind." ²⁸ Marvel not at this, for coming is the hour in which all who are in the tombs shall hear His voice, ²⁹ and those who do good shall go out into a resurrection of life, yet those who commit bad things, into a resurrection of judging."

³¹ If I should be testifying concerning Myself, is My testimony not true? ³² There is another who is testifying concerning Me, and I am aware that the testimony which he is testifying concerning Me is true."

⁴¹ Glory from men I am not getting."

¹⁸ He who is speaking from himself is seeking his own glory, yet He Who is seeking the glory of Him Who sends Him, this One is true, and injustice is not in Him."

³⁹ Now this He said concerning the spirit which those believing in Him were about to get. For not as yet was holy spirit given, for Jesus is not as yet glorified."

⁴¹ Yet you are doing the works of your father.They say to Him, "We were not born of prostitution! One Father have we, God!"

⁵⁰ Now I am not seeking My glory. He is the One Who is seeking it and judging.

³¹ When, then, he came out, Jesus is saying, "Now is the Son of Mankind glorified, and God is glorified in Him." ³² If God is glorified in Him, God also shall be glorifying Him in Himself and shall straightway be glorifying Him."

¹⁴ That will be glorifying Me, seeing that of Mine will it be getting, and informing you." ¹⁵ All, whatever the Father has, is Mine. Therefore I said to you that of Mine is it getting, and will be informing you."

¹ These things speaks Jesus, and lifting His eyes to heaven, He said, "Father, come has the hour. Glorify Thy Son, that Thy Son should be glorifying Thee,

⁵ And now glorify Thou Me, Father, with Thyself, with the glory which I had before the world is with Thee."

¹³ The God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorifies His Boy Jesus, Whom you, indeed, give up and disown before the face of Pilate, when he decides to release Him."

¹⁷ Lo! you are being denominated a Jew, and are resting on law, and are boasting in God, ¹⁸ and know the will, and are testing what things are of consequence, being instructed out of the law." ¹⁹ Besides, you have confidence in yourself to be a guide of the blind, a light of those in darkness, ²⁰ a discipliner of the imprudent, a teacher of minors, having the form of knowledge and the truth in the law." ²¹ You, then, who are teaching another, you are not teaching yourself! who are heralding not to be stealing, you are stealing!" ²² who are saying not to be committing adultery, you are committing adultery! who are abominating idols, you are despoiling the sanctuary!" ²³ who are boasting in a law, through the transgression of the law you are dishonoring God!" ²⁴ For because of you the name of God is being blasphemed among the nations, according as it is written." ²⁵ For circumcision, indeed, is benefiting if you should be putting law into practice, yet if you should be a transgressor of law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision." ²⁶ If the Uncircumcision, then, should be maintaining the just requirements of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be reckoned for circumcision? ²⁷ And the Uncircumcision who, by nature, are discharging the law's demands, shall be judging you, who through letter and circumcision, are a transgressor of law." ²⁸ For not that which is apparent is the Jew, nor yet that which is apparent in flesh is circumcision;" ²⁹ but that which is hidden is the Jew, and circumcision is of the heart, in spirit, not in letter, whose applause is not of men, but of God."

¹⁸ For not he who is commending himself is qualified, but whom the Lord is commending."

²⁰ which is operative in the Christ, rousing Him from among the dead and seating Him at His right hand among the celestials, ²¹ up over every sovereignty and authority and power and lordship, and every name that is named, not only in this eon, but also in that which is impending:" ²² and subjects all under His feet, and gives Him, as Head over all, to the ecclesia" ²³ which is His body, the complement of the One completing the all in all."

⁹ Wherefore, also, God highly exalts Him, and graces Him with the name that is above every name, ¹⁰ that in the name of Jesus every knee should be bowing, celestial and terrestrial and subterranean, ¹¹ and every tongue should be acclaiming that Jesus Christ is Lord, for the glory of God, the Father."

⁴ And not for himself is anyone getting the honor, but on being called by God even as Aaron, also." ⁵ Thus Christ also does not glorify Himself by becoming a chief priest, but He Who speaks to Him, "My Son art Thou! I, today, have begotten Thee,

¹² To whom it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to you they dispensed them, of which you were now informed through those who are bringing the evangel to you by holy spirit dispatched from heaven, into which messengers are yearning to peer."

²¹ Who rouses Him from among the dead and is giving Him glory, so that your faith and expectation is to be in God."

¹⁷ For He got from God, the Father, the honor and glory of the voice, being carried to Him in such a way by the Glory Magnifical: "This is My Son, the Beloved, in Whom I delight!"
