¹⁷ Therefore the Father is loving Me, seeing that I am laying down My soul that I may be getting it again."

¹ Behold My Servant! I am upholding Him. My Chosen! Accepted by My soul! I bestow My spirit upon Him, and He shall bring forth judgment to the nations."

²¹ Yahweh Elohim desires, on account of His righteousness, both to magnify the law, and ennoble it."

⁷ Hard pressed is He and being humbled, yet He is not opening His mouth. As a flockling to slaughter is He fetched, and as a ewe before her shearers is mute, so He is not opening His mouth." ⁸ From restraint and from judgment is He taken, and on His generation, who shall meditate? For He was severed from the land of the living; because of the transgression of My people was He touched by death." ⁹ And He is given His tomb with the wicked, a cave from the rich, in His death. For He does no wrong, and no deceit is in His mouth, ¹⁰ yet Yahweh desires to crush Him, and He causes Him to be wounded. Should you place His soul for a guilt approach, He shall see a seed. He shall lengthen His days, and the desire of Yahweh shall prosper in His hand." ¹¹ From the toil of His soul shall He see light. And He shall be satisfied by His knowledge. My righteous Servant shall justify many, and with their depravities shall He be burdened." ¹² Therefore I will apportion to Him among many, and to the staunch will He apportion the loot, insomuch that He gives up His soul unto death, and with transgressors was counted; and He bore the sin of many, and for transgressors is making intercession."

²⁵ There occurred, then, a questioning of the disciples of John with a Jew concerning cleansing."

¹¹ I am the Shepherd ideal. The ideal shepherd is laying down his soul for the sake of the sheep.

¹⁵ according as the Father knows Me, and I know the Father. And My soul am I laying down for the sake of the sheep."

¹⁸ No one is taking it away from Me, but I am laying it down of Myself. I have the right to lay it down, and I have the right to get it again. This precept I got from My Father."

⁹ According as the Father loves Me, I, also, love you. Remain in My love." ¹⁰ If ever you should be keeping My precepts, you will be remaining in My love, according as I have kept the precepts of My Father and am remaining in His love."

⁴ I glorify Thee on the earth, finishing the work which Thou hast given Me, that I should be doing it." ⁵ And now glorify Thou Me, Father, with Thyself, with the glory which I had before the world is with Thee."

²⁴ Father, those whom Thou hast given Me, I will that, where I am, they also may be with Me, that they may be beholding My glory which Thou has given Me, for Thou lovest Me before the disruption of the world." ²⁵ Just Father, the world, also, knew Thee not, yet I knew Thee. And these know that Thou dost commission Me." ²⁶ And I make known to them Thy name, and I shall make it known, that the love with which Thou lovest Me may be in them, and I in them."

⁹ Yet we are observing Jesus, Who has been made some bit inferior to messengers (because of the suffering of death, wreathed with glory and honor), so that in the grace of God, He should be tasting death for the sake of everyone."
