³¹ Lo, I [am] against you, O pride, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh of Hosts, For your day has come, the time of your inspection."

¹¹ Scatter forth the ragings of your anger; Discern every proud one and abase him. ¹² Discern every proud one and make him submit; Crush the wicked where they are.

¹³ Lo, I [am] against you--an affirmation of Yahweh, O inhabitant of the valley, rock of the plain, Who are saying, Who comes down against us? And who comes into our habitations?

²⁹ We have heard of the arrogance of Moab, Exceeding proud! His haughtiness, and his arrogance, And his pride, and the height of his heart,

¹⁶ Your terribleness has lifted you up, The pride of your heart, O dweller in clefts of the rock, Holding the high place of the height, For you make high as an eagle your nest, From thence I bring you down, An affirmation of Yahweh."

²⁹ Summon unto Babylon archers, all treading the bow, Encamp against her round about, Let [her] have no escape; Recompense to her according to her work, According to all that she did--do to her, For unto Yahweh she has been proud, Unto the Holy One of Israel."

³² And stumbled has pride, And he has fallen, and has no raiser up, And I have kindled a fire in his cities, And it has devoured all round about him."

²⁵ Lo, I [am] against you, O destroying mount, An affirmation of Yahweh, That is destroying all the earth, And I have stretched out My hand against you, And I have rolled you from the rocks, And given you for a burnt mountain."

⁸ Therefore, thus said the Lord Yahweh:Lo, I [am] against you, even I, And I have done in your midst judgments, Before the eyes of the nations."

³ Speak, and you have said:Thus said the Lord Yahweh:Lo, I [am] against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt! The great dragon that is crouching in the midst of his floods, Who has said, My flood [is] my own, And I--I have made it [for] myself."

⁹ And the land of Egypt has been for a desolation and a waste, And they have known that I [am] Yahweh. Because he said:The flood [is] mine, and I made [it]." ¹⁰ Therefore, lo, I [am] against you, and against your floods, And have given the land of Egypt for wastes, A waste, a desolation, from Migdol to Syene, And unto the border of Cush."

³ and you have said:Thus said the Lord Yahweh:Lo, I [am] against you, O Gog, Prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal,

¹ And you, son of man, prophesy concerning Gog, and you have said:Thus said the Lord Yahweh:Lo, I [am] against you, O Gog, Prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal,

³⁰ Responding is the king to all this by saying, "Is not this Babylon great that I have built to be the house of the kingdom within the might of my safeguarding walls, for the esteem of my honor!" ³¹ While the matter is still in the mouth of the king, a voice falls from the heavens, "To you are they saying, King Nebuchadnezzar:The kingdom passes away from you."

¹³ Behold Me against you, (averring is Yahweh of hosts); I consume her chariots in smoke, and your sheltered lions, the sword shall devour. I cut off your prey from the earth, and the voice of your messengers is no longer heard."

⁵ Behold Me against you, (averring is Yahweh, Elohim of hosts). I will roll your skirts over your face, and I will show the nations your nakedness, and the kingdoms your dishonor."

⁴ Behold! it is made presumptuous:his soul is not upright in him. Yet the just one by his faith shall live. ⁵ And, indeed, seeing that the wine is treacherous; the master is ostentatious, and he is not resting, who widens his soul as the unseen, and he is as death and is not satisfied. And he is gathering to him all the nations, and he is convening to him all the peoples."

⁶ Yet greater is the grace He is giving. Wherefore He is saying, God "the proud is resisting, yet to the humble He is giving grace."

⁵ Likewise, younger men may be subject to the elder, yet all wear the servile apron of humility with one another, for God "is resisting the proud, yet is giving grace to the humble."
