⁵ Thus said Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, Like these good figs so do I acknowledge The removed of Judah--that I sent from this place, [To] the land of the Chaldeans--for good."

¹⁶ Who was feeding you in the wilderness with manna, which your fathers had not known, that He might make you humble and that He might probe you, to do you good in your latter days.

¹² Happy is the master whom You are disciplining, O Yah; From Your law are You teaching him, ¹³ To give him quiet from days of peril, Until a pit is dug for the wicked." ¹⁴ For Yahweh shall not abandon His people, And He shall not forsake His allotment."

⁶⁷ Before I was humbled, I was erring, But now I keep Your promise close."

⁷¹ It is good for me that I was humbled, That I may learn Your statutes."

⁷ Yahweh is good for a stronghold in the day of distress, and He is knowing those taking refuge in Him."

⁹ And I will bring the third into the fire. And I will refine them as silver is refined. And I will test them as gold is tested. It shall call in My name, and I will answer it. I will say, My people is it. And it will say, Yahweh is my Elohim."

¹² Yet he, answering, said, 'Verily, I am saying to you, I am not acquainted with you!'"

²⁷ My sheep are hearing My voice, and I know them, and they are following Me."

²⁸ Now we are aware that God is working all together for the good of those who are loving God, who are called according to the purpose"

³ Now if anyone is loving God, this one is known by Him."

⁹ Yet now, knowing God, yet rather being known by God, how are you turning back again to the infirm and poor elements for which you want to slave again anew?

¹⁹ Howbeit, the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: The Lord knew those who are His, and, Let everyone who is naming the name of the Lord withdraw from injustice. "

⁵ And you have been oblivious of the entreaty which is arguing with you as with sons: My son, do not disdain the discipline of the Lord, Nor yet faint when being exposed by Him." ⁶ For whom the Lord is loving He is disciplining, Yet He is scourging every son to whom He is assenting." ⁷ For discipline are you enduring. As to sons is God bringing it to you, for what son is there whom the father is not disciplining? ⁸ Now if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, consequently you are bastards and not sons." ⁹ Thereafter, indeed, we had the fathers of our flesh as discipliners, and we respected them. Yet shall we not much rather be subjected to the Father of spirits and be living." ¹⁰ For these, indeed, disciplined for a few days as it seemed best to them, yet that One for our expedience, for us to be partaking of His holiness."

¹⁹ '"Whosoever I may be fond of, I am exposing and disciplining. Be zealous, then, and repent!"
