³ and have said, Hear a word of Yahweh, you kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem, Thus said Yahweh of Hosts, Elohim of Israel:`Lo, I am bringing in evil on this place, at which the ears of every one who is hearing it do tingle,

¹¹ And Yahweh said unto Samuel, `Lo, I am doing a thing in Israel, at which the two ears of every one hearing it do tingle.

¹⁶ And the man said unto Eli, `I [am] he who has come out of the ranks, and I out of the ranks have fled to-day;' and he said, `What has been the matter, my son?. ¹⁷ And he who is bearing tidings answers and said, `Israel has fled before the Philistines, and also a great slaughter has been among the people, and also your two sons have died--Hophni and Phinehas--and the ark of Elohim has been captured.. ¹⁸ And it comes to pass, at his mentioning the ark of Elohim, that he falls from off the throne backward, by the side of the gate, and his neck is broken, and he dies, for the man [is] old and heavy, and he has judged Israel forty years.

¹² therefore thus said Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, Lo, I am bringing in evil on Jerusalem and Judah, that whoever hears of it, tingle do his two ears. ¹³ And I have stretched out over Jerusalem the line of Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Ahab, and wiped Jerusalem as one wipes the dish--he has wiped, and has turned [it] on its face.

¹⁰ And now, O kings, be intelligent; Be admonished, all judges of the earth;"

¹⁵ The nations shall fear the Name of Yahweh, And all the kings of the earth Your glory."

⁵ Yahweh is at Your right; He will transfix kings in the day of His anger.

¹⁹ As often as it passes, it will take you, for morning by morning will it pass, by day and by night, and it comes to be an evil agony to explain the report."

¹⁹ Hear, O earth, lo, I am bringing evil on this people, The fruit of their devices, For to My words they gave no attention, And My law--they kick against it."

¹⁸ Say to the king and to the mistress:Make yourselves low--sit still, For come down have your principalities, The crown of your beauty."

²⁰ and you have said unto them:Hear a word of Yahweh, you kings of Judah, and all Judah, and all inhabitants of Jerusalem, who are coming in by these gates,

¹⁸ Now before governors and kings also shall you be led on My account, for a testimony to them and to the nations."
