¹ In that era Merodach Baladan, son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sends scrolls and elders and a present to Hezekiah, for he is hearing that he was ill to death, yet is mending." ² And Hezekiah is rejoicing over them with great joy. And he is showing them all his perfumery house, the silver, and the gold, and the aromatics, and the good oil, and all the house with his instruments in the depository, and all that is found among his treasures. Not a thing comes to be there which Hezekiah does not show them, in his house and in all under his rule." ³ And Isaiah, the prophet, is coming to King Hezekiah and saying to him, "What did these mortals say? And whence are they coming to you?And saying is Hezekiah, "From a land afar they came to me, from Babylon." ⁴ And saying is Isaiah, "What did they see in your house?And saying is Hezekiah, "`All that is in my house they saw. Not a thing comes to be in my house which I did not show them among my treasures." <sup>5</sup> And saying is Isaiah to Hezekiah, "Hear the word of Yahweh of hosts, <sup>6</sup> `Behold! The days are coming,' averring is Yahweh, when all that is in your house, and that your forefathers treasured unto this day, shall be carried away. It shall come to Babylon. And not a thing shall be left,' says Yahweh." ⁷ And of your sons, who shall fare forth from you, whom you shall beget, they shall take, and they shall become eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.'" ⁸ And saying is Hezekiah to Isaiah, "Good is the word of Yahweh which you speak.And saying is he, "Is it not, since there is coming to be welfare and truth in my days?

³ Then Moses said to Aaron:That is what Yahweh spoke of, saying:Among those near Me shall I be hallowed, and in the presence of all the people shall I be glorified. Aaron was still;"

⁴⁹ Yahweh shall lift up against you a nation from afar, from the end of the earth, just as the vulture swoops down, a nation whose tongue you have not heard,

¹⁹ And Joshua said unto Achan, `My son, put, I pray you, honor on Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, and give to Him thanks, and declare, I pray you, to me, what you have done--hide not from me..

⁶ And they go unto Joshua, unto the camp at Gilgal, and say unto him, and unto the men of Israel, `From a land far off we have come, and now, make with us a covenant;.

⁹ And they say unto him, `From a land very far off have your servants come, for the name of Yahweh your Elohim, for we have heard His fame, and all that He has done in Egypt,

¹³ And Samuel said unto Saul, `You have been foolish; you have not kept the command of Yahweh your Elohim, which He commanded you, for now had Yahweh established your kingdom over Israel unto the eon;" ¹⁴ and, now, your kingdom does not stand, Yahweh has sought for Himself a man according to His own heart, and Yahweh charges him for leader over His people, for you have not kept that which Yahweh commanded you..

²⁵ and they are bringing each his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and garments, and armor, and spices, horses, and mules, the matter of a year in a year.

¹² and Jehoiachin king of Judah goes out unto the king of Babylon, he, and his mother, and his servants, and his chiefs, and his eunuchs, and the king of Babylon takes him in the eighth year of his reign, ¹³ and brings out thence all the treasures of the house of Yahweh, and the treasures of the house of the king, and cuts in pieces all the vessels of gold that Solomon king of Israel made in the temple of Yahweh, as Yahweh had spoken.

¹⁵ And he removes Jehoiachin to Babylon, and the mother of the king, and the wives of the king, and his eunuchs, and the mighty ones of the land--he has caused a removal to go from Jerusalem to Babylon,

⁶ and they seize the king, and bring him up unto the king of Babylon, to Riblah, and they speak with him--judgment. ⁷ And the sons of Zedekiah they have slaughtered before his eyes, and the eyes of Zedekiah he has blinded, and binds him with brazen fetters, and they bring him to Babylon.

¹³ And the pillars of brass that [are] in the house of Yahweh, and the bases, and the sea of brass, that [is] in the house of Yahweh, have the Chaldeans broken in pieces, and bear away their brass to Babylon. ¹⁴ And the pots, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass with which they minister they have taken, ¹⁵ and the fire-pans, and the bowls that [are] wholly of silver, has the chief of the executioners taken.

¹ And the queen of Sheba has heard of the fame of Solomon, and comes in to try Solomon with acute sayings, to Jerusalem, with a very great company, and camels bearing spices and gold in abundance, and precious stone; and she comes in unto Solomon, and speaks with him all that has been with her heart,

⁷ And at that time has Hanani the seer come in unto Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, `Because of your leaning on the king of Aram, and you have not leaned on Yahweh your Elohim, therefore has the force of the king of Aram escaped from your hand.

² and go out unto his presence does Jehu son of Hanani, the seer, and said unto king Jehoshaphat, `To give help to the wicked, and to those hating Yahweh, do you love? and for this against you [is] wrath from before Yahweh,

¹⁵ And the anger of Yahweh burns against Amaziah, and He sends unto him a prophet, and he said unto him, `Why have you sought the elohims of the people that have not delivered their people out of your hand?.

²³ and many are bringing in an offering to Yahweh, to Jerusalem, and precious things to Hezekiah king of Judah, and he is lifted up before the eyes of all the nations after this.

²⁵ and Hezekiah has not returned according to the deed [done] unto him, for his heart has been lofty, and there is wrath upon him, and upon Judah and Jerusalem;" ²⁶ and Hezekiah is humbled for the loftiness of his heart, he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the wrath of Yahweh has not come upon them in the days of Hezekiah. ²⁷ And Hezekiah has riches and honor very much, and treasures he has made to himself of silver, and of gold, and of precious stone, and of spices, and of shields, and of all [kinds] of desirable vessels,

³¹ and so with the ambassadors of the heads of Babylon, those sending unto him to inquire of the wonder that has been in the land, Elohim has left him to try him, to know all in his heart,

¹¹ and Yahweh brings in against them the heads of the host that the king of Asshur has, and they capture Manasseh among the thickets, and bind him with brazen fetters, and cause him to go to Babylon.

²⁸ Lo, I am gathering you unto your fathers, and you have been gathered unto your graves in peace, and your eyes do not look on all the evil that I am bringing upon this place, and upon its inhabitants;' and they bring the king back word.

¹⁰ and at the turn of the year has king Nebuchadnezzar sent and brings him in to Babylon, with the desirable vessels of the house of Yahweh, and causes Zedekiah his brother to reign over Judah and Jerusalem.

¹⁸ And all the vessels of the house of Elohim, the great and the small, and the treasures of the house of Yahweh, and the treasures of the king and of his princes--the whole he has brought in to Babylon.

²⁰ And he removes those left of the sword unto Babylon, and they are to him and to his sons for servants, till the reigning of the kingdom of Persia,

²¹ And he said, Naked I came forth from the belly of my mother, and naked I shall return there. Yahweh, He gives, and Yahweh, He takes away. Blessed be the name of Yahweh.

²⁵ If I have rejoiced that my estate is vast And that my hand has found abundance,

³³ If I have covered up my transgression like Adam, By burying my depravity in my lap,

⁹ I have become mute; I shall not open my mouth, For You Yourself have acted."

³ Do not trust in patrons, In a son of humanity with whom there is no salvation." ⁴ His spirit shall go forth, and he shall return to his ground; In that day his reflections perish."

²³ More than any guard-post, preserve your heart, For from it spring the outflowings of life."

⁵ While your eyes are on it, does it fly away and is not? Indeed riches make wings for themselves And fly away to the heavens like a vulture."

¹³ He who covers his transgressions shall not prosper, Yet he who confesses and forsakes them shall receive compassion."

²⁰ For there is no righteous man in the earth Who does good and never sins.

¹ LOAD OF BABYLON which was perceived by Isaiah, the son of Amoz:"

¹⁹ And it comes that Babylon, the stateliest of kingdoms, the beauty, the pomp of the Chaldeans, shall be as the overturning of Sodom and Gomorrah by the Elohim."

⁴ And you lift up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say in that day, "How ceases the exactor! Ceases the audacious city!"

¹³ Behold the land of the Chaldeans--this people became nothing. Assyria devastated it into arid regions. They raise lookouts. They denude citadels. They make into a fallen place. Even there, there is no stopping."

¹ In those days Hezekiah is ill to death. And coming to him is Isaiah, the prophet, son of Amoz, and is saying to him, "Thus says Yahweh, `Give instructions to your household, for you shall die, and not live.'"

⁵ Go, and say to Hezekiah, "`Thus says Yahweh, the Elohim of David, your forefather, "I have heard the voice of your prayer. I have seen your tears. Behold! I will add to your days fifteen years."

¹⁵ Lo, I am bringing against you a nation from afar, O house of Israel, an affirmation of Yahweh, A nation--strong it [is], a nation--from of old it [is], A nation--you know not its tongue, Nor understand what it speaks."

⁹ Crooked [is] the heart above all things, And it [is] incurable--who does know it?

⁵ And I have given all the strength of this city, And all its labor, and all its precious things, Yea, all the treasures of the kings of Judah I do give into the hand of their enemies, And they have spoiled them, and taken them, And have brought them into Babylon."

¹ Thus said Yahweh, `Go down [to] the house of the king of Judah, and you have spoken there this word, and have said, ² Hear a word of Yahweh, O king of Judah, who are sitting on the throne of David, you, and your servants, and your people, who are coming in at these gates,

²¹ Surely thus said Yahweh of Hosts, Elohim of Israel, concerning the vessels that are left of the house of Yahweh, and of the house of the king of Judah, and [in] Jerusalem:" ²² To Babylon they are brought, and there they are till the day of My inspecting them--an affirmation of Yahweh; then I have brought them up, and have brought them back unto this place.'"

⁷ And the eyes of Zedekiah he has blinded, and he binds him with brazen fetters, to bring him in to Babylon."

¹⁷ And the pillars of brass that [are] to the house of Yahweh, and the bases, and the brasen sea that [is] in the house of Yahweh, have the Chaldeans broken, and they bear away all the brass of them to Babylon;" ¹⁸ and the pots, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the bowls, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass with which they minister, they have taken away;" ¹⁹ and the basins, and the fire-pans, and the bowls, and the pots, and the candlesticks, and the spoons, and the cups, the gold of that which [is] gold, and the silver of that which [is] silver, has the chief of the executioners taken."

²² It is by Yahweh's benignities that we have not come to end, that His compassions are not finished;"

³⁹ Of what shall a living man complain, a master concerning his sins?

¹² `Say, I pray you, to the rebellious house, Have you not known what these [are]? Say, Lo, come has the king of Babylon to Jerusalem, And he takes its king, and its princes, And brings them to himself to Babylon." ¹³ And he takes of the seed of the kingdom, And makes with him a covenant, And brings him in to an oath, And the mighty of the land he has taken, ¹⁴ That the kingdom may be humble, That it may not lift itself up, To keep his covenant--that it may stand." ¹⁵ And he rebels against him, To send his messengers to Egypt, To give to him horses, and much people, Does he prosper? does he escape who is doing these things? And has he broken covenant and escaped? ¹⁶ I live--an affirmation of the Lord Yahweh, Does he not--in the place of the king who is causing him to reign, Whose oath he has despised, And whose covenant he has broken, With him--in the midst of Babylon--die? ¹⁷ And not with a great force, and with a numerous assembly, Does Pharaoh maintain him in battle, By pouring out a mount, and in building a fortification, To cut off many souls." ¹⁸ And he despised the oath--to break covenant, And lo, he has given his hand, And all these he has done, he escapes not." ¹⁹ Therefore, thus said the Lord Yahweh:I live--Mine oath that he has despised, And My covenant that he has broken, Have I not put it on his head? ²⁰ And I have spread out for him My snare, And he has been caught in My net, And I have brought him in to Babylon, And pleaded with him there his trespass, That he has trespassed against Me."

¹ In the third year of the kingdom of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, comes Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, to Jerusalem and is besieging it." ² Yet Yahweh is giving into his hand Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and at the end, the furnishings of the house of Elohim. Then he is bringing them to the land of Shinar, to the house of his Elohim, and the furnishings he brings to the treasure-house of his Elohim."

Those intelligent in all wisdom, and knowing knowledge, and understanding what is known, and who have vigor in them to stand in the palace before the king, he is to teach them the script and language of the Chaldeans." ⁵ Assigning is the king to them the day's menu in its day, from the dainties of the king, and from the wine of the king's feasts. They are to grow up three years, and at their end they are to stand before the king." ⁶ Now there are among them (of the sons of Judah) Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah." ⁷ When the chief of the eunuchs is giving names to them, he is naming Daniel Belteshazzar, Hananiah Shadrach, Mishael Meshach, and Azariah Abed-nego."

¹⁶ These are the things which you shall do:Speak truth each man with his associate; truth and the judgment of peace, judge in your gateways;"

¹⁹ Thus says Yahweh of hosts:The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall become to the house of Judah elation and rejoicing and good appointments, and you will exult. Hence love truth and peace!"

⁷ Wherefore also, lest I should be lifted up by the transcendence of the revelations, there was given to me a splinter in the flesh, a messenger of Satan, that he may be buffeting me, lest I may be lifted up. "

⁶ Be humbled, then, under the mighty hand of God, that He should be exalting you in season,

⁸ If we should be saying that we have no sin we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us." ⁹ If we should be avowing our sins, He is faithful and just that He may be pardoning us our sins and should be cleansing us from all injustice."
