³⁰ and graze do the firstlings of the poor, and the needy shall trustingly recline. Yet I put to death with famine, your root, and your remnant it will kill."

¹³ His skin shall be eaten by sickness; The firstborn of death shall eat his organs.

¹⁵ What is it to you that you are crushing My people, and the faces of the humble are grinding?Averring is my Lord, Yahweh of hosts."

¹⁷ And the lambs are grazed according to their menu, and on the deserted places wiped up the kids are eating."

²¹ And it comes in that day, that a man shall keep alive a heifer of the herd, and two ewes of the flock;" ²² and it comes, from the vast yield of milk, he shall eat clotted cream, for clotted cream and honey shall everyone eat, who is left within the land."

²¹ when hardship and famine pass through the land. And it comes, that it is famishing and wroth with itself, and it makes light of its king and his Elohim. Then it faces upward into the heavens above,

²⁰ And he will sever on the right, yet is famishing, and he will eat on the left, yet is not satisfied. A man will eat the flesh of his arm."

²³ And he will give rain for your seed with which you shall sow the ground, and bread, the income of the ground. And it comes to be sleek and stout. Your cattle will graze, in that day, in a widened meadow." ²⁴ And the domestic animals, and the donkeys serving the ground, fermented chopped straw shall eat, which is winnowed with the wind and with the winnower."

¹⁶ he shall tabernacle on the heights, fastnesses of crags are his impregnable retreat. His bread shall be bestowed. His water shall be assured."

³⁰ And this is the sign for you:Eat for the year the self-sown, and in the second year the spontaneous growth. Yet in the third year, sow and reap, and plant vineyards and eat their fruit."

¹⁹ Two things, they are meeting you. Who will condole with you? The devastation and the breaking and the famine and the sword--who will comfort you?

¹³ Therefore, thus says my Lord Yahweh, "Behold! My servants shall eat, yet you shall be famished. Behold! My servants shall drink, yet you shall thirst. Behold! My servants shall rejoice, yet you shall be ashamed." ¹⁴ Behold! My servants shall jubilate from a good heart, yet you shall cry from pain of heart, and from breaking of spirit shall you howl."

¹ That which has been the word of Yahweh unto Jeremiah concerning the Philistines, before Pharaoh smites Gaza:" ² `Thus said Yahweh:Lo, waters are coming up from the north, And have been for an overflowing stream, And they overflow the land and its fulness, The city, and the inhabitants in it, And men have cried out, And howled has every inhabitant of the land." ³ From the sound of the stamping of the hoofs of his mighty ones, From the rushing of his chariot, the noise of his wheels, Fathers have not turned unto sons, From feebleness of hands, ⁴ Because of the day that has come to spoil all the Philistines, To cut off to Tyre and to Zidon every helping remnant. For Yahweh is spoiling the Philistines, The remnant of the isle of Caphtor." ⁵ Come has baldness unto Gaza, Cut off has been Ashkelon, O remnant of their valley, Till when do you cut yourself? ⁶ Ho, sword of Yahweh, till when are you not quiet? Be removed unto your sheath, rest and cease." ⁷ How shall it be quiet, And Yahweh has given a charge to it, Against Ashkelon, and against the sea shore? There has He appointed it!'"

¹⁵ Thus said the Lord Yahweh:Because of the doings of the Philistines in vengeance, And they take vengeance with despite in soul, To destroy--the enmity eonian!" ¹⁶ Therefore, thus said the Lord Yahweh:Lo, I am stretching out My hand against the Philistines, And I have cut off the Cherethim, And destroyed the remnant of the haven of the sea, ¹⁷ And done upon them great vengeance with furious reproofs, And they have known that I [am] Yahweh, In My giving out My vengeance on them!"

⁴ Moreover, what are you to Me, Tyre and Sidon, and all the circuit of Philistia? Are you repaying Me a requital? And, if you be requiting Me speedily, hastily will I reverse your requital on your head, ⁵ you who have taken My silver and My gold, and have brought My coveted good things to your temples." ⁶ And the sons of Judah and the sons of Jerusalem you sell to the sons of the Grecians, that you may put them far from their boundary." ⁷ Behold Me rousing them from the place where you sell them. I reverse your requital on your head, ⁸ and I sell your sons and your daughters, into the hands of the sons of Judah, and they sell them into captivity, to a nation afar, for Yahweh speaks."

⁶ Thus says Yahweh, Due to three transgressions of Gaza, and due to four, I will not turn it back, due to their deporting a balanced deportation, to surrender it to Edom." ⁷ I will send a fire into the wall of Gaza, and it shall devour her citadels." ⁸ And I will cut off the dweller from Ashdod, and the upholder of the scepter from Ashkelon, and I will reverse My hand on Ekron, and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish, says my Lord Yahweh."

⁴ For Gaza shall become forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation. Ashdod--they shall drive her out at noon, and Ekron shall be made a stump." ⁵ Woe to the dwellers of the sea board, the sojourners of the Cherethites! The word of Yahweh is against you, Canaan, land of the Philistines! And I will destroy you, that there be no dweller." ⁶ And the sea board shall come to be a homestead, a place cut out for shepherds, and stone dikes for flocks." ⁷ And the sea board shall come to be for the remnant of the house of Judah; on them shall they graze; in the houses of Ashkelon shall they recline in the evening, for Yahweh, their Elohim, shall visit them, and will reverse their captivity."

⁵ Ashkelon shall see it and fear, and Gaza also shall travail exceedingly, and Ekron--for her outlook shall be ashamed, and the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be indwelt." ⁶ And a bastard shall dwell in Ashdod. And I will cut off the pomp of the Philistines. ⁷ And I will take away his blood from his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth. Yet he that remains, moreover, shall be for our Elohim; and he will come to be as a mentor in Judah, and Ekron as a Jebusite."
