Hosea 5:15 Cross References - CLV

¹⁵ For I will go and return to My place till they are pleading guilty, and they seek My face. In their distress they will seek Me early, saying:"

²¹ Then you will put the propitiatory shelter on the coffer from above; and you shall put the testimony which I shall give to you into the coffer. ²² I will keep appointment with you there, and I will speak with you above the propitiatory shelter from between the two cherubim which are over the coffer of the testimony of all which I am instructing you for the sons of Israel.

⁴⁰ If they will confess their depravity and the depravity of their fathers in their offense (when they had offended Me and, indeed, when they had gone contrary to M. ⁴¹ so that I Myself also went contrary to them and brought them into the land of their enemies), if then their uncircumcised heart should submit, and if then they should accept their depravity, ⁴² then I will remember My covenant with Jacob and also My covenant with Isaac; also My covenant with Abraham shall I remember, and the land shall I remember.

²⁹ Yet from there you will seek Yahweh your Elohim and find Him when you inquire for Him with all your heart and with all your soul. ³⁰ In your distress, when all these things find you in the latter days, then you will return to Yahweh your Elohim and hearken to His voice. ³¹ For Yahweh your Elohim is a compassionate El. He shall neither neglect you nor bring ruin on you, nor shall He forget the covenant of your fathers about which He had sworn to them.

¹ It will come to be, when all these things come on you, the blessing and the malediction which I put before you, that you will recall them to your heart among all the nations where Yahweh your Elohim will have expelled yo. ² and that you will return again to Yahweh your Elohim and hearken to His voice according to all that I am instructing you today, you and your sons, with all your heart and with all your soul. ³ Then Yahweh your Elohim will turn back your captivity and show compassion to you; He will return and convene you from all the peoples where Yahweh your Elohim will have scattered you.

³ and the sons of Israel cry unto Yahweh, for he has nine hundred chariots of iron, and he has oppressed the sons of Israel mightily twenty years.

⁶ And Israel is very weak from the presence of Midian, and the sons of Israel cry unto Yahweh. ⁷ And it comes to pass when the sons of Israel have cried unto Yahweh, concerning Midian,

¹⁰ And the sons of Israel cry unto Yahweh, saying, `We have sinned against You, even because we have forsaken our Elohim, and serve the Baalim.. <sup>11</sup> And Yahweh said unto the sons of Israel, `[Have I] not [saved you] from the Egyptians, and from the Amorite, from the Bene-Ammon, and from the Philistines? ¹² And the Zidonians, and Amalek, and Maon have oppressed you, and you cry unto Me, and I save you out of their hand;" ¹³ and you--you have forsaken Me, and serve other elohims, therefore I add not to save you. ¹⁴ Go and cry unto the elohims on which you have fixed; they--they save you in the time of your adversity.' ¹⁵ And the sons of Israel say unto Yahweh, `We have sinned, do You to us according to all that is good in Your eyes; only deliver us, we pray You, this day.. ¹⁶ And they turn aside the elohims of the stranger out of their midst, and serve Yahweh, and His soul is grieved with the misery of Israel.

¹⁰ And it comes to pass, in the going out of the priests from the holy [place], that the cloud has filled the house of Yahweh, ¹¹ and the priests have not been able to stand to minister because of the cloud, for the honor of Yahweh has filled the house of Yahweh. ¹² Then said Solomon, `Yahweh has said to dwell in thick darkness;" ¹³ I have surely built a house of habitation for You; a fixed place for Your abiding to the eons.'

⁴⁷ and they have turned [it] back unto their heart in the land whither they have been taken captive, and have turned back, and made supplication unto You, in the land of their captors, saying, We have sinned and done perversely--we have done wickedly;" ⁴⁸ yea, they have turned back unto You, with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their enemies who have taken them captive, and have prayed unto You the way of their land, which You gave to their fathers, the city which You have chosen, and the house which I have builded for Your name.

³⁶ `When they sin against You--for there is not a man who sins not--and You have been angry with them, and have given them before an enemy, and taken them captive have their captors, unto a land far off or near;" ³⁷ and they have turned [it] back unto their heart in the land whither they have been taken captive, and have turned back, and made supplication unto You in the land of their captivity, saying, We have sinned, we have done perversely, and have done wickedly;"

¹⁴ and My people on whom My name is called be humbled, and pray, and seek My face, and turn back from their evil ways, then I--I hear from the heavens, and forgive their sin, and heal their land.

¹² And when he is in distress he has appeased the face of Yahweh his Elohim, and is humbled exceedingly before the Elohim of his fathers, ¹³ and prays unto Him, and He is entreated of him, and hears his supplication, and brings him back to Jerusalem, to his kingdom, and Manasseh knows that Yahweh--He [is] Elohim.

⁸ `Remember, I pray You, the word that You did command Moses Your servant, saying, You--you trespass--I scatter you among peoples;" ⁹ and you have turned back unto Me, and kept My commands, and done them--if your outcast is in the end of the heavens, thence I gather them, and have brought them in unto the place that I have chosen to cause My name to tabernacle there.

⁸ For what expectation can the polluted have when he is clipped off, When Eloah eases away his soul? ⁹ Shall El hearken to his cry When distress comes upon him? ¹⁰ Would he find pleasure in Him Who Suffices? Would he call to Eloah on every occasion?

²⁷ He shall sing before mortals and say, I have sinned and depraved what is upright, Yet He did not compensate it fully to me.

¹⁵ And call upon Me in the day of distress; I shall liberate you, and you shall glorify Me."

³⁴ Whenever He killed them, then they sought after Him, And they returned and sought early for El."

¹⁶ Fill their faces with dishonor, So that men shall seek Your Name, O Yahweh."

¹⁴ This is My resting place unto the future; Here shall I dwell, for I yearn for it."

²⁷ When alarm comes upon you like a tumult, And calamity, it arrives upon you like a sweeping whirlwind, When distress and constraint come upon you." ²⁸ Then they shall call me, yet I shall not answer; They shall seek me early, yet shall not find me."

¹⁷ I love those who love me, And those who seek me early find me."

⁹ With my soul I yearn for You in the night. Indeed, with my spirit within me I will seek You early. For as a light are Your judgments to the earth, the dwellers of the habitance learn righteousness."

¹⁶ Yahweh, in distress they note You. Distress, as a whisper, is Your discipline for them."

²¹ For, behold Yahweh faring forth from His holy place to visit the depravity of the earth's dweller upon it. And its blood is exposed by the earth, and no longer shall it cover over its killed."

⁵ You come upon the elated and the doer of righteousness. In Your ways are they remembering You. Behold! You are wroth when we are sinning. Against You from the eon also are we transgressing. ⁶ And we are becoming as unclean, all of us, and as an ornamented garment is all our righteousness. And we are decaying as a leaf, all of us, and our depravities, as the wind, are carrying us away." ⁷ And no one is calling on Your name, rousing himself to hold fast to You, for You conceal Your face from us, and You are dissolving us by means of our depravities." ⁸ And now, Yahweh, You are our Father. And we are the clay. You are our Former, and the doing of Your hand are we all." ⁹ You must not be wroth with us, Yahweh, unto excess, and You must not, for the future, be remembering our depravity. Behold! Look, pray! Your people are we all."

²⁷ Saying to wood, `My father [are] you!' And to a stone, `You have brought me forth,' For they turned unto me the back and not the face, And in the time of their vexation, They say, `Arise You, and save us.'"

¹³ Only, know your iniquity, For against Yahweh your Elohim you have transgressed, And you do scatter your ways to strangers, Under every green tree, And to My voice you have not hearkened, An affirmation of Yahweh."

¹² `And you have called Me, and have gone, and have prayed unto Me, and I have hearkened unto you, ¹³ And you have sought Me, and have found, for you seek Me with all your heart;" ¹⁴ And I have been found of you--an affirmation of Yahweh; and I have turned back [to] your captivity, and have gathered you out of all the nations, and out of all the places whither I have driven you--an affirmation of Yahweh--and I have brought you back unto the place whence I removed you."

¹⁸ I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself, `You have chastised me, And I am chastised, as a heifer not taught, Turn me back, and I turn back, For you [are] Yahweh my Elohim." ¹⁹ For after my turning back I repented, And after my being instructed I struck on the thigh, I have been ashamed, I have also blushed, For I have borne the reproach of my youth." ²⁰ A precious son is Ephraim to Me? A child of delights? For since My speaking against him, I do thoroughly remember him still, Therefore have My bowels been moved for him, I do greatly love him, An affirmation of Yahweh."

⁹ And remembered Me have your escaped among nations, Whither they have been taken captive, Because I have been broken with their heart that is going a-whoring, That has turned aside from off Me, And with their eyes they are going a-whoring after their idols, And they have been loathsome in their own faces, For the evils that they have done--all their abominations."

⁶ And He said unto me, `Son of man, are you seeing what they are doing? the great abominations that the house of Israel are doing here, to keep far off from My sanctuary; and again you do turn, you do see great abominations.'"

⁴ and become high does the honor of Yahweh above the cherub, over the threshold of the house, and the house is filled with the cloud, and the court has been filled with the brightness of the honor of Yahweh."

²³ And the honor of Yahweh goes up from off the midst of the city, and stands on the mountain, that [is] on the east of the city."

⁴³ And you have remembered there your ways, And all your doings, In which you have been defiled, And you have been loathsome in your own faces, For all your evils that you have done."

³¹ And you have remembered your ways that [are] evil, And your doings that [are] not good, And have been loathsome in your own faces, For your iniquities, and for your abominations."

⁴ I am praying to Yahweh my Elohim and am confessing and saying, "Oh, my Lord the El, great and fearful, Keeper of the covenant and the kindness for those loving Him and keeping His instructions:" ⁵ We sin and we are depraved, we do wickedly and revolt, we withdraw from Thy instructions and from Thy judgments." ⁶ We do not hearken to Thy servants the prophets, who speak in Thy name to our kings, our chiefs, our forefathers and to all the people of the land." ⁷ To Thee, my Lord, is righteousness, yet to us is shamefacedness as at this day:To each man of Judah, to the dwellers of Jerusalem, to all the people of Israel, the near and the far, in all the lands where Thou hast expelled them for their offense with which they offend Thee." ⁸ To Thee, Yahweh, is righteousness, yet to us is shamefacedness:To our kings, to our chiefs, to our forefathers, who sin against Thee." ⁹ Of Yahweh our Elohim are compassions and pardons; for we revolt against Him." ¹⁰ We do not hearken to the voice of Yahweh our Elohim, to go in His laws which He sets before us by the hand of His servants the prophets." ¹¹ All Israel--they trespass against Thy law to withdraw so as not to hearken to Thy voice. Hence pouring forth on us is the imprecation and the oath which is written in the law of Moses, the servant of Elohim; for we sin against Him." ¹² Hence He is setting up His words, which He speaks concerning us and concerning our judges who judge us, to bring on us this great evil which is not done under the entire heavens as it is done in Jerusalem."

⁵ Afterward are the sons of Israel returning, and they seek Yahweh their Elohim, and David their king, and they come in awe to Yahweh and to His goodness, in the latter days."

⁶ With their flock and with their herd they shall go to seek Yahweh, and they shall not find Him; He liberates Himself from them."

¹ Return, O Israel, unto Yahweh, your Elohim, for you stumble in your depravity." ² Take words with you and return to Yahweh, your Elohim; say to Him:Wilt You bear away all the depravity? Take the good, and we will repay with the fruit of our lips." ³ Assyria will not save us; we will not ride on the horse. Nor shall we still say, Our elohim, to the work of our hands. For in You, the orphan is being shown compassion."

³ For behold! Yahweh will fare forth from His place, and He will descend and tread on the fane heights of the land."

¹ Rake yourselves together! And rake together the nation not longed for! ² Ere the generating of the statute, the day shall pass as trash; ere the hot anger of Yahweh be coming on you, ere the day of the anger of Yahweh be coming on you, ³ Seek Yahweh, all the humble of the land, who have contrived His judgment; seek righteousness, seek humility. Perhaps you will be concealed in the day of Yahweh's anger."

²⁵ From which time the householder should be roused and latch the door, and you should be beginning to stand outside and to be knocking at the door, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open to us!' and answering, he will be declaring to you, 'I am not acquainted with you! Whence are you?'"
