Ezekiel 39:4 Cross References - CLV

⁴ On mountains of Israel you fall, You, and all your bands, and the peoples who [are] with you, To ravenous fowl--a bird of every wing, And [to] a beast of the field, I have given you for food."

² For the wrath of Yahweh shall be on all the nations, and fury on all their host. He will doom them, and He will give them to the slaughter." ³ And their wounded shall be flung away, and from their corpses shall ascend their stink. And the mountains will melt from their blood, and the vales shall be rent and putrefied." ⁴ All the host of the heavens shall decay, and rolled up as a scroll are the heavens, and all their host shall decay as decays the leaf from the vine, and as a decaying leaf from the fig tree." ⁵ For soaked in the heavens shall be My sword. Behold! On Edom shall it descend, and on the people I doom for judgment." ⁶ The sword of Yahweh will be full of blood. It lubricates itself from the fat of lambs, and from the blood of butting rams and he-goats, from the fat of kidneys of rams. For there shall be a sacrifice to Yahweh in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Edom." ⁷ And down come the uruses with them, and the young bulls with the bulls, and their land will be soaked with blood, and their soil shall be sleek from fat." ⁸ For a day of vengeance is it for Yahweh, a year of repayments for the contention of Zion."

³ And I have appointed over them four kinds, an affirmation of Yahweh, The sword to slay, and the dogs to drag, And the fowl of the heavens, And the beast of the earth, to consume and to devour."

⁵ And I have left you in the wilderness, You and every fish of your floods, On the face of the field you do fall, You are not gathered nor assembled, To the beast of the earth and to the fowl of the heavens I have given you for food."

⁴ And I have left you in the land, On the face of the field I do cast you out, And have caused to dwell upon you every fowl of the heavens, And have satisfied out of you the beasts of the whole earth." ⁵ And I have put your flesh on the mountains, And filled the valleys [with] your hugeness,

²⁷ Thus do you say unto them:Thus said the Lord Yahweh:I live--do not they who [are] in the wastes by the sword fall? And they who [are] on the face of the field, To the beast I have given for food, And they who are in strongholds and in caves by pestilence die."

²¹ And I have called against him, to all My mountains a sword, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh, The sword of each is against his brother."

¹⁷ And you, son of man, thus said the Lord Yahweh:Say to the bird--every wing, and to every beast of the field:Be assembled and come in, Be gathered from round about, For My sacrifice that I am sacrificing for you, A great sacrifice on mountains of Israel, And you have eaten flesh, and drunk blood." ¹⁸ Flesh of the mighty you do eat, And blood of princes of the earth you drink, Of rams, of lambs, and of he-goats, Of calves, fatlings of Bashan--all of them." ¹⁹ And you have eaten fat to satiety, And you have drunk blood--to drunkenness, Of My sacrifice that I sacrificed for you." ²⁰ And you have been satisfied at My table with horse and rider, Mighty man, and every man of war, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh."

¹⁷ And I perceived another messenger, standing in the sun. And he cries with a loud voice, saying to all the birds which are flying in mid-heaven, "Hither! Be gathered for the great dinner of God, ¹⁸ that you may be eating the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of the strong, and the flesh of horses and of those sitting on them, and the flesh of all freemen as well as slaves, and of small and of great." ¹⁹ And I perceived the wild beast and the kings of the earth and their armies, gathered to do battle with Him Who is sitting on the horse and with His army." ²⁰ And the wild beast is arrested, and with it the false prophet who does the signs in its sight, by which he deceives those getting the emblem of the wild beast, and those worshiping its image. Living, the two were cast into the lake of fire burning with sulphur." ²¹ And the rest were killed with the blade which is coming out of the mouth of Him Who is sitting on the horse. And all the birds are satisfied with their flesh.
