⁶ Therefore, thus said the Lord Yahweh:Woe [to] the city of blood, A pot whose scum [is] in it, And its scum has not come out of it, By piece of it, by piece of it bring it out, Not fallen on it has a lot."

¹⁶ And Joshua rises early in the morning, and brings Israel near by its tribes, and the tribe of Judah is captured;" ¹⁷ and he brings near the family of Judah, and he captures the family of the Zarhite; and he brings near the family of the Zarhite by men, and Zabdi is captured;" ¹⁸ and he brings near his household by men, and Achan--son of Carmi, son of Zabdi, son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah--is captured.

²² And Joshua said, `Open you the mouth of the cave, and bring out unto me these five kings from the cave;.

⁴⁰ And he said unto all Israel, `You--you are on one side, and I and Jonathan my son are on another side;' and the people say unto Saul, `That which is good in your eyes do.. ⁴¹ And Saul said unto Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, `Give perfection;' and Jonathan and Saul are captured, and the people went out. <sup>42</sup> And Saul said, `Cast between me and Jonathan my son;' and Jonathan is captured.

² And he smites Moab, and measures them with a line, causing them to lie down on the earth, and he measures two lines to put to death, and the fulness of the line to keep alive, and the Moabites are to David for servants, bearers of a present.

¹⁶ And also, innocent blood has Manasseh shed very much, till that he has filled Jerusalem--mouth to mouth; apart from his sin that he has caused Judah to sin, to do the evil thing in the eyes of Yahweh.

⁴ and also the innocent blood that he has shed, and he fills Jerusalem with innocent blood, and Yahweh was not willing to forgive.

²⁹ The bellows have been burnt, By fire has the lead been consumed, In vain has a refiner refined, And the wicked have not been drawn away."

⁵ And to the others he said in mine ears, `Pass on into the city after him, and smite; your eye does not pity, nor do you spare;" ⁶ aged, young man, and virgin, and infant, and women, you do slay--to destruction; and against any man on whom [is] the mark you do not go nigh, and from My sanctuary you begin.'"

⁶ You multiplied your wounded in this city, And filled its out-places with the wounded." ⁷ Therefore, thus said the Lord Yahweh:Your wounded whom you placed in its midst, They [are] the flesh, and it [is] the pot, And you he has brought out from its midst." ⁸ A sword you have feared, And a sword I bring in against you, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh." ⁹ And I have brought you out of its midst, And given you into the hand of strangers, And I have done among you judgments."

¹¹ It is not to you for a pot, Nor are you in its midst for flesh, At the border of Israel I do judge you."

² `And you, son of man, do you judge? do you judge the city of blood? then you have caused it to know all its abominations,

⁶ Lo, princes of Israel--each according to his arm Have been in you to shed blood." ⁷ Father and mother made light of in you, To a sojourner they dealt oppressively in your midst, Fatherless and widow they oppressed in you." ⁸ My holy things you have despised, And My sabbaths you have polluted." ⁹ Men of slander have been in you to shed blood, And on the mountains they have eaten in you, Wickedness they have done in your midst."

¹² A bribe they have taken in you to shed blood, Usury and increase you have taken, And cut off your neighbor by oppression, And Me you have forgotten, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh!"

²⁷ Its princes in its midst [are] as wolves, Tearing prey, to shed blood, to destroy souls, For the sake of gaining dishonest gain."

³⁷ For they have committed adultery, And blood [is] in their hands, With their idols they committed adultery, And also their sons whom they bore to Me, They caused to pass over to them for food." ³⁸ Again, this they have done to Me, They defiled My sanctuary in that day, And My sabbaths they have polluted." ³⁹ And in their slaughtering their sons to their idols They also come in unto My sanctuary in that day to pollute it, And lo, thus they have done in the midst of My house, ⁴⁰ And also that they send to men coming from afar, Unto whom a messenger is sent, And lo, they have come in for whom you have washed, Painted your eyes, and put on adornment." ⁴¹ And you have sat on a couch of honor, And a table arrayed before it, And My perfume and My oil placed on it." ⁴² And the voice of a multitude at ease [is] with her, And unto men of the common people are brought in Sabeans from the wilderness, And they put bracelets on their hands, And a beauteous crown on their heads." ⁴³ And I say of the worn-out one in adulteries, Now they commit her whoredoms--she also!" ⁴⁴ And they come in unto her, As the coming in unto a whorish woman, So they have come in unto Aholah, And unto Aholibah--the wicked women." ⁴⁵ As to righteous men, they judge them with the judgment of adulteresses, And the judgment of women shedding blood, For they [are] adulteresses, And blood [is] in their hands."

⁹ Therefore, thus said the Lord Yahweh:Woe [to] the city of blood, yea, I--I make great the pile."

¹¹ And cause it to stand on its coals empty, So that its brass is hot and burning, Melted has been in its midst its uncleanness, Consumed is its scum." ¹² [With] sorrows she has wearied herself, And the abundance of her scum goes not out of her, In the fire [is] her scum." ¹³ In your uncleanness [is] wickedness, Because I have cleansed you, And you have not been cleansed, From your uncleanness you are not cleansed again, Till I have caused My fury to rest on you."

³ and they handle the lot for My people. They are giving the boy for prostitution, and the girl they sell for wine, and they are drinking it."

¹¹ In the day that you stood aloof, in that day aliens captured his army, and foreigners entered his gateways, and over Jerusalem they handled the lot. Moreover, you were as one of them!"

⁷ And they are saying, each man to his associate, Go, and let us cast lots that we may know on whose account this evil is with us. So they are casting lots, and the lot is falling on Jonah."

² The kindly one has perished from the earth, and there is none upright among humanity. All of them are ambushing for blood; each man is hunting his brother with a seine net."

¹ Woe, city of blood! All of it is dissimulation! Full of schism! No one is removing the prey!"

¹⁰ Moreover, she was for deportation; she goes into captivity. Moreover, her unweaned children are being dashed to pieces at the head of all the streets, and over all her glorious ones, they handle the lot. And all her great ones are chained with manacles."

³⁵ so that on you should be coming all the just blood shed on the earth, from the blood of just Abel until the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murder between the temple and the altar."

⁷ And whenever they should be finishing their testimony, the wild beast which is ascending out of the submerged chaos will be doing battle with them and will be conquering them and killing them." ⁸ And their corpses will be at the square of the great city which, spiritually, is being called Sodom and Egypt, where their Lord, also, was crucified."

⁶ And I perceive the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. And I marvel at perceiving her. The marvel is great!"

²⁴ And in it the blood of prophets and of saints was found, and of all of those slain upon the earth."
