¹⁹ And the people say unto me, `Do you not declare to us what these [are] to us, that you are doing?'"

⁹ `Son of man, have they not said unto you--the house of Israel--the rebellious house--What are you doing?

¹² `Say, I pray you, to the rebellious house, Have you not known what these [are]? Say, Lo, come has the king of Babylon to Jerusalem, And he takes its king, and its princes, And brings them to himself to Babylon."

⁴⁹ And I say, `Ah, Lord Yahweh, They are saying of me, Is he not using similes?

⁷ and it has come to pass, when they say unto you, For what are you sighing? that you have said:Because of the report, for it is coming, And melted has every heart, And feeble has been all hands, And weak is every spirit, And all knees go--waters, Lo, it is coming, yea, it has been, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh.'"

¹⁸ `And when sons of your people speak unto you, saying, Do you not declare to us what these [are] to you?

⁷ From the days of your forefathers, you withdrew from My statutes and do not keep them. Return to Me, and I will return to you, says Yahweh of hosts. Yet you say, In what way shall we return? ⁸ Will a human defraud Elohim? For you are defrauding Me. Yet you say, In what way do we defraud You? In the tithe and the heave offering!"

¹³ Your words are steadfast against Me, says Yahweh. Yet you say, What do we speak against You?
