¹⁷ Cease to groan, [for] the dead you do make no mourning, your bonnet bind on you, and your shoes you do put on your feet, and you do not cover over the upper lip, and bread of men you do not eat.'"

⁶ Then Moses said to Aaron and to Eleazar and to Ithamar, his sons:Do not dishevel your heads' hair and do not rip your garments so that you may not die, lest He be wrathful with the whole congregation. Yet your brothers, all the house of Israel, they may lament over the burning which Yahweh has burned.

⁴⁵ As for the leprous man in whom the contagion is, his garments, they shall come to be ripped, and his head shall come to be disheveled, and he shall muffle the upper lip; and, Unclean! Unclean! shall he call.

¹⁰ As for the priest, the one greater than his brothers, on whose head the anointing oil was poured and who consecrated his hand to put on the garments, his head's hair he shall not dishevel, and his garments he shall not ri.

³⁰ And David is going up in the ascent of the olives, going up and weeping, and he has the head covered, and he is going barefooted, and all the people who [are] with him have covered each his head, and have gone up, going up and weeping;"

⁷ Be still before Yahweh, and wait for Him; Do not grow hot because someone prospers his way, Because a man is carrying out his schemes;"

⁹ I have become mute; I shall not open my mouth, For You Yourself have acted."

¹⁰ Relax and know that I am Elohim; I shall be exalted among the nations; I shall be exalted in the earth.

⁴ Of painful deaths they die, They are not lamented, nor are they buried, For dung on the face of the ground they are, And by sword and by famine are consumed, And their carcase has been for food To the fowl of the heavens, And to the beast of the earth." ⁵ For thus said Yahweh:Do not enter the house of a mourning-feast, Nor go to lament nor bemoan for them, For I have removed My peace from this people, An affirmation of Yahweh, The kindness and the mercies." ⁶ And died have great and small in this land, They are not buried, and none lament for them, Nor does any cut himself, nor become bald for them." ⁷ Nor do they deal out to them for mourning, To comfort him concerning the dead, Nor cause them to drink a cup of consolations For his father and for his mother."

²² And you have done as I have done, On the upper lip you are not covered, And bread of men you do not eat." ²³ And your bonnets [are] on your heads, And your shoes [are] on your feet, You do not mourn nor do you weep, And you have wasted away for your iniquities, And you have howled one unto another."

⁴ They shall not libate wine to Yahweh, and they shall not be congenial to Him. Their sacrifices are as the bread of sighings to them. All who are eating it are defiling themselves. For their bread is for their own soul; it shall not enter into the house of Yahweh."

³ and the songs of the temple will howl in that day, (averring is my Lord Yahweh). Many are the corpses; in every place He flings them! Hist!"

⁷ And the vision seers shall be ashamed, and the diviners shall be abashed, and all of them shall muffle over the upper lip, for there is no answer from Elohim."

²⁰ Yet Yahweh is in His holy temple! Hist! all the earth, because of His presence!"
