³ and you have said:Thus said the Lord Yahweh:The city is shedding blood in its midst, For the coming in of its time, And it has made idols on it for defilement."

² and he does the evil thing in the eyes of Yahweh, according to the abominations of the nations that Yahweh dispossessed from the presence of the sons of Israel, ³ and he turns and builds the high places that Hezekiah his father destroyed, and raises altars for Baal, and makes a shrine, as did Ahab king of Israel, and bows himself to all the host of the heavens, and serves them. ⁴ And he has built altars in the house of Yahweh, of which Yahweh said, `In Jerusalem I put My name.. <sup>5</sup> And he builds altars to all the host of the heavens in the two courts of the house of Yahweh; <sup>6</sup> and he has caused his son to pass through fire, and observed clouds, and used enchantment, and dealt with a familiar spirit and wizards; he has multiplied to do the evil thing in the eyes of Yahweh--to provoke to anger. <sup>7</sup> And he sets the graven image of the shrine that he made in the house of which Yahweh said unto David and unto Solomon his son, `In this house, and in Jerusalem, that I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I put My name--to the eon;" ⁸ and I do not add to cause the foot of Israel to move from the ground that I gave to their fathers, only, if they observe to do according to all that I commanded them, and to all the law that My servant Moses commanded them.. ⁹ And they have not hearkened, and Manasseh causes them to err, to do the evil thing above the nations that Yahweh destroyed from the presence of the sons of Israel.

¹ And there is a word of Yahweh unto me, saying, ² `Go, and you have called in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus said Yahweh:I have remembered for you The kindness of your youth, the love of your espousals, Your going after Me in a wilderness, in a land not sown." ³ Holy [is] Israel to Yahweh, The first-fruit of His increase, All consuming him are guilty, Evil comes in unto them, an affirmation of Yahweh."

² An end, come has the end on the four corners of the land." ³ Now [is] the end unto you, And I have sent Mine anger upon you, And judged you according to your ways, And set against you all your abominations." ⁴ And no pity on you has Mine eye, nor do I spare, For your ways against you I do set, And your abominations are in your midst, And you have known that I [am] Yahweh." ⁵ Thus said the Lord Yahweh:Evil, a single evil, lo, it has come." ⁶ An end has come, come has the end, It has waked for you, lo, it has come." ⁷ Come has the morning unto you, O inhabitant of the land! Come has the time, near [is] a day of trouble, And not the shouting of mountains." ⁸ Now, shortly I pour out My fury on you, And have completed Mine anger against you, And judged you according to your ways, And set against you all your abominations." ⁹ And not pity does Mine eye, nor do I spare, According to your ways unto you I give, And your abominations are in your midst, And you have known that I [am] Yahweh the smiter." ¹⁰ Lo, the day, lo, it has come, Gone forth has the morning, Blossomed has the rod, flourished the pride." ¹¹ The violence has risen to a rod of wickedness, There is none of them, nor of their multitude, Nor of their noise, nor is there wailing for them." ¹² Come has the time, arrived has the day, The buyer does not rejoice, And the seller does not become a mourner, For wrath [is] unto all its multitude."

²⁵ For I [am] Yahweh, I speak, The word that I speak--it is done, It is not prolonged any more, For, in your days, O rebellious house, I speak a word, and I have done it, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh.'"

⁴ By your blood that you have shed you have been guilty, And by your idols that you have made you have been defiled, And you cause your days to draw near, And are come in unto your years, Therefore I have given you a reproach to nations, And a derision to all the lands."

⁶ Lo, princes of Israel--each according to his arm Have been in you to shed blood."

²⁷ Its princes in its midst [are] as wolves, Tearing prey, to shed blood, to destroy souls, For the sake of gaining dishonest gain."

³⁷ For they have committed adultery, And blood [is] in their hands, With their idols they committed adultery, And also their sons whom they bore to Me, They caused to pass over to them for food."

⁴⁵ As to righteous men, they judge them with the judgment of adulteresses, And the judgment of women shedding blood, For they [are] adulteresses, And blood [is] in their hands."

⁶ Therefore, thus said the Lord Yahweh:Woe [to] the city of blood, A pot whose scum [is] in it, And its scum has not come out of it, By piece of it, by piece of it bring it out, Not fallen on it has a lot." ⁷ For her blood in her midst has been, On a clear place of a rock she has set it, She has not poured it on the earth, To cover it over with dust." ⁸ To cause fury to come up to take vengeance, I have put her blood on a clear place of a rock--not to be covered." ⁹ Therefore, thus said the Lord Yahweh:Woe [to] the city of blood, yea, I--I make great the pile."

³ Her chiefs within her are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves; they pick clean, leaving nothing for the morning."

⁵ Yet, in accord with your hardness and unrepentant heart you are hoarding for yourself indignation in the day of indignation and revelation of the just judgment of God,

³ and in greed, with suave words, they will traffic in you, whose judgment of old is not idling, and their destruction is not nodding."
