¹⁶ I live--an affirmation of the Lord Yahweh, Does he not--in the place of the king who is causing him to reign, Whose oath he has despised, And whose covenant he has broken, With him--in the midst of Babylon--die?

² And if you refuse to dismiss them, behold, I will be striking all your boundary with frogs.

⁷ You shall not take up the name of Yahweh your Elohim for futility, for Yahweh shall not hold innocent him who takes up His name for futility.

² In case a man vows a vow to Yahweh or swears an oath to bind a bond on his soul, he shall not profane his word. According to all coming forth from his mouth shall he do.

²⁰ this we do to them, and have kept them alive, and wrath is not upon us, because of the oath which we have sworn to them..

⁴ Despised in his eyes is the reprobate, Yet he glorifies those fearing Yahweh. He has sworn to his associate and shall not change."

⁴ And Zedekiah king of Judah does not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but is certainly given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and his mouth has spoken with his mouth, and his eyes see his eyes, ⁵ And [to] Babylon he leads Zedekiah, and there he is till My inspecting him, --an affirmation of Yahweh--because you fight with the Chaldeans, you do not prosper.'"

³ and you, you do not escape out of his hand, for you are certainly caught, and into his hand you are given, and your eyes see the eyes of the king of Babylon, and his mouth with your mouth speaks, and Babylon you enter." ⁴ `Only, hear a word of Yahweh, O Zedekiah king of Judah, Thus said Yahweh unto you:You do not die by sword, ⁵ in peace you die, and with the burnings of your fathers, the former kings who have been before you, so they make a burning for you; and Ah, lord, they lament for you, for the word I have spoken--an affirmation of Yahweh.'"

⁷ And the eyes of Zedekiah he has blinded, and he binds him with brazen fetters, to bring him in to Babylon."

¹³ And I have spread My net for him, and he has been caught in My snare, and I have brought him in to Babylon, the land of the Chaldeans, and it he does not see--and there does he die."

⁵⁹ For thus said the Lord Yahweh:I have dealt with you as you have done, In that you have despised an oath--to break covenant."

¹⁰ And lo, the planted thing--does it prosper? When come against it does the east wind, Does it not utterly wither? On the furrows of its springing it withers.'"

¹³ And he takes of the seed of the kingdom, And makes with him a covenant, And brings him in to an oath, And the mighty of the land he has taken,

¹⁸ And he despised the oath--to break covenant, And lo, he has given his hand, And all these he has done, he escapes not." ¹⁹ Therefore, thus said the Lord Yahweh:I live--Mine oath that he has despised, And My covenant that he has broken, Have I not put it on his head?

⁴ They speak words, to invoke futility, to contract a covenant. And judgment buds as verdure on the furrows of the field."

³ And he is saying to me, This is the execration which is faring forth over the surface of the entire land, for every thief, henceforth as death doomed shall be visited with vengeance, and every swearer, henceforth as death doomed shall be visited with vengeance." ⁴ I will bring it forth, (averring is Yahweh of hosts), and it enters into the house of the thief, and into the house of him who swears in My name falsely, and it lodges in the midst of his house, and it consumes it and its timbers and its stones."

⁵ Then I will come near to you for judgment, and become a hastening witness against the enchanters and against the adulterers, and against those who are swearing in My name to falsehood, and against those extorting the hire of the hireling, and those tyrannizing over the widow and taunting the orphan, and turning aside the sojourner, and do not fear Me, says Yahweh of hosts."

³¹ unintelligent, perfidious, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:"

¹⁰ paramours, sodomites, kidnapers, liars, perjurers, and if any other thing is opposing sound teaching,
