¹¹ Guard yourself lest you should forget Yahweh your Elohim by failing to observe His instructions and His judgments and His statutes that I am enjoining on you today,

²¹ They forgot the El Who was saving them, Who was doing great deeds in Egypt,

³² For the instability of the simple, it shall kill them, And the carelessness of the stupid, it shall destroy them."

⁹ Lest I should be surfeited So that I disavow You and say, Who is Yahweh? Or lest I be destitute and steal, So that I denigrate the name of my El."

¹⁰ And I clothe you with embroidery, And I shoe you with badger's skin, And I gird you with fine linen, And I cover you with figured silk." ¹¹ And I adorn you with adornments, And I give bracelets for your hands, And a chain for your neck." ¹² And I give a ring for your nose, And rings for your ears, And a crown of beauty on your head." ¹³ And you do put on gold and silver, And your clothing [is] fine linen, And figured silk and embroidery, Fine flour, and honey, and oil you have eaten, And you are very very beautiful, And do go prosperously to the kingdom." ¹⁴ And go forth does your name among nations, Because of your beauty--for it [is] complete, In My honor that I have set upon you, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh." ¹⁵ And you do trust in your beauty, And go a-whoring because of your renown, And do pour out your whoredoms On every passer by--to him it is."

⁸ Yet she knew not that I gave her the grain and the grape juice and the clarified oil. And I increased silver and gold for her, which they made into a Baal." ⁹ Wherefore I will return, and I take My grain in its season and My grape juice in its appointment. And I rescue My wool and My flax given to cover her nakedness."
