Deuteronomy 24:15 Cross References - CLV

¹⁵ On his day you shall give him his hire, and the sun shall not set on it ( for he is humble, and to it he is lifting his soul) that he may not call against you to Yahweh, and it would become a sin on your part.

²³ If you humiliate, yea humiliate him, in case he should cry, yea cry to Me, I shall hear, yea hear his cry, ²⁴ and My anger will grow hot, and I will kill you with the sword, and your wives will become widows and your sons orphans.

¹³ You shall not extort from your associate, nor shall you pillage. The wage of a hireling shall not lodge with you until morning.

⁹ Guard yourself lest there should be in your heart the decadent word, saying:The seventh year is near, the year of the release, so that your eye is evil toward your needy brother, and you give him nothing. Then he may call out to Yahweh concerning you, and it will be held as a sin against you.

³⁸ If my ground has cried out against me, And its furrows have wept together with it,

²⁸ But they caused the cry of the poor to be brought before Him, So that He heard the cry of the humble.

⁹ Under a multitude of extortions they cry out; They implore under the arm of those with great power.

⁴ The innocent of palms and pure of heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to mere idols, And has not sworn by what is deceitful."

²⁷ Do not withhold good from one petitioning it, When it is at the disposal of your hands to act." ²⁸ Do not say to your associate, Go now and return, And tomorrow I shall give it, when it is already with you."

²² Do not pillage the poor, for he is poor, And do not crush the humble one in the gate." ²³ For Yahweh Himself shall contend their contention, And He will defraud their defrauders of their soul."

¹⁰ Do not move away the boundary marker of the widow, And into the fields of the orphans do not enter, ¹¹ For their Redeemer is steadfast; He Himself shall contend their contention against you.

⁷ For the vineyard of Yahweh of hosts is the house of Israel, and each man of Judah His plant delectable. And He is expecting judgment, and behold! Transgression! Righteousness, and behold! A cry!"

¹³ Woe to him who is building his house by unrighteousness, And his upper chambers by injustice, On his neighbor he lays service for nought, And his wage he does not give to him."

⁸ Now, evening coming on, the lord of the vineyard is saying to his manager, 'Call the workers and pay them the wages, beginning from the last, to the first.'"

¹⁹ With the precepts you are acquainted: You should not be murdering. You should not be committing adultery. You should not be stealing. You should not be testifying falsely. You should not be cheating. 'Be honoring your father and mother.'"

⁴ Lo! the wage of the workers, who mow your country places, which has been withheld by you, is crying, and the imploring of the reapers has entered into the ears of the Lord of hosts."
