⁴⁴ Yet reports shall fluster him, from the sunrise and from the north, and forth he fares with great fury to exterminate and to doom many."

⁹ And you have gone up--as wasting you come in, As a cloud to cover the land are you, You and all your bands, and many peoples with you." ¹⁰ Thus said the Lord Yahweh:And it has come to pass in that day, Come up do things on your heart, And you have thought an evil thought, ¹¹ And you have said:I go up against a land of unwalled villages, I go in to those at rest, dwelling confidently, All of them are dwelling without walls, And bar and doors they have not." ¹² To take a spoil, and to take a prey, To turn back your hand on inhabited wastes, And on a people gathered out of nations, Making cattle and substance, Dwelling on a high part of the land."

¹¹ Then bitterly embittered shall be the king of the southland; hence he fares forth and fights with him, that is with the king of the north. He also recruits a vast throng, and the throng is given into his hand and borne away is the throng."

³⁰ For there come against him boats of Chittim. Hence he is sore when he returns. He menaces the holy covenant and makes his opposition effective. While he returns, he has an understanding with those who forsake the holy covenant:"

¹² And the sixth pours out his bowl on the great river Euphrates. And its water is dried up that the road of the kings from the orient may be made ready.

¹³ These have one opinion, and they are giving their power and authority to the wild beast."

¹⁹ And I perceived the wild beast and the kings of the earth and their armies, gathered to do battle with Him Who is sitting on the horse and with His army." ²⁰ And the wild beast is arrested, and with it the false prophet who does the signs in its sight, by which he deceives those getting the emblem of the wild beast, and those worshiping its image. Living, the two were cast into the lake of fire burning with sulphur." ²¹ And the rest were killed with the blade which is coming out of the mouth of Him Who is sitting on the horse. And all the birds are satisfied with their flesh.
