⁷ And the king of Egypt has not added any more to go out from his own land, for the king of Babylon has taken, from the brook of Egypt unto the river Phrat, all that had been to the king of Egypt.

¹⁸ In that day Yahweh contracted a covenant with Abram, saying, "To your seed I give this land, from the stream of Egypt as far as the great stream, the stream Euphrates,

⁵ The boundary will turn around from Azmon toward the watercourse of Egypt, and its border-area will be toward the sea.

⁴ and passed over [to] Azmon, and gone out [at] the brook of Egypt, and the outgoings of the border have been at the sea; this is to you the south border.

²¹ And Solomon has been ruling over all the kingdoms, from the River [to] the land of the Philistines and unto the border of Egypt:they are bringing nigh a present, and serving Solomon, all days of his life.

¹² And it comes, in that day, Yahweh will beat gleanings from the trail of the stream unto the watercourse of Egypt. And you, you shall be gleaned one by one, sons of Israel."

⁵ and the force of Pharaoh has come out of Egypt, and the Chaldeans, who are laying siege against Jerusalem, hear their report, and go up from off Jerusalem." ⁶ And there is a word of Yahweh unto Jeremiah the prophet, saying:" ⁷ `Thus said Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, Thus do you say unto the king of Judah, who is sending you unto Me, to seek Me:Lo, the force of Pharaoh that is coming out to you for help has turned back to its land, to Egypt,
