2 Kings 17:21 Cross References - CLV

²¹ for He has rent Israel from the house of David, and they make Jeroboam son of Nebat king, and Jeroboam drives Israel from after Yahweh, and has caused them to sin a great sin,

⁹ And calling is Abimelech to Abraham, and saying to him, "What have you done to us? And in what have I sinned against you, that you bring on me and on my kingdom a great sin? Deeds which are not being done you do to me.

²¹ Moses said to Aaron: What has this people done to you that you have brought on them a great sin?

¹⁷ And the sin of the young men is very great [in] the presence of Yahweh, for the men have despised the offering of Yahweh.

²⁴ Nay, my sons; for the report which I am hearing is not good causing the people of Yahweh to transgress. -.

¹¹ and Yahweh said to Solomon, `Because that this has been with you, and you have not kept My covenant and My statutes that I charged upon you, I surely rend the kingdom from you, and have given it to your servant.

³¹ and said to Jeroboam, `Take to you ten pieces, for thus said Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, lo, I am rending the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon, and have given to you the ten tribes,

¹⁹ and Israel transgresses against the house of David unto this day. ²⁰ And it comes to pass, at all Israel's hearing that Jeroboam has returned, that they send and call him unto the company, and cause him to reign over all Israel; none has been after the house of David save the tribe of Judah alone.

²⁸ And the king takes counsel, and makes two calves of gold, and said unto them, `Enough to you of going up to Jerusalem; lo, your elohims, O Israel, which brought you up out of the land of Egypt.. ²⁹ And he sets the one in Beth-El, and the other he has put in Dan, ³⁰ and this thing becomes a sin, and the people go before the one--unto Dan.

⁸ and rend the kingdom from the house of David, and give it to you, --and you have not been as My servant David who kept My commands, and who walked after Me with all his heart, to do only that which [is] right in Mine eyes,

¹⁶ and He gives up Israel because of the sins of Jeroboam that he sinned, and that he caused Israel to sin..

¹⁵ And the king has not hearkened unto the people, for the revolution has been from Elohim, for the sake of Yahweh's establishing His word that He spoke by the hand of Abijah the Shilonite unto Jeroboam son of Nebat. ¹⁶ And all Israel have seen that the king has not hearkened to them, and the people send back [to] the king, saying, `What portion have we in David? yea, there is no inheritance in a son of Jesse; each to your tents, O Israel; now, see your house--David,' and all Israel go to their tents. ¹⁷ As to the sons of Israel who are dwelling in the cities of Judah--Rehoboam reigns over them. ¹⁸ And king Rehoboam sends Hadoram, who [is] over the tribute, and the sons of Israel cast at him stones, and he dies; and king Rehoboam has strengthened himself to go up into a chariot to flee to Jerusalem;" ¹⁹ and Israel transgress against the house of David unto this day.

¹¹ And he strengthens the bulwarks, and puts in them leaders, and treasures of food, and oil, and wine,

¹⁵ and he establishes to him priests for high places, and for goats, and for calves, that he made-.

¹¹ On account of Your Name, O Yahweh, Thus pardon my depravity, though it be great."

¹⁷ And Yahweh will bring on you, and on your people, and on the house of your father, days which have not come since the day Ephraim withdrew from Judah--the king of Assyria!"

¹¹ Jesus answered him, "No authority have you against Me in anything, except it were given to you from above. Therefore he who is giving Me up to you has the greater sin."
