² And Joash does that which is right in the eyes of Yahweh all the days of Jehoiada the priest.

² and Jehoash does that which is right in the eyes of Yahweh all his days in which Jehoiada the priest directed him,

² and he does that which is right in the eyes of Yahweh--only, not with a perfect heart.

⁴ And he does that which is right in the eyes of Yahweh, according to all that Amaziah his father did, ⁵ and he is as one seeking Elohim in the days of Zechariah who has understanding in visions of Elohim:and in the days of his seeking Yahweh, Elohim has caused him to prosper.

³⁶ Yet they would entice Him with their mouth And lie to Him with their tongue. ³⁷ Their heart, it was not established before Him, And they were not faithful to His covenant."

¹² Then they believed His words; They sang His praise. ¹³ But they quickly forgot His deeds; They did not tarry for His counsel.

¹³ And saying is Yahweh, "Forasmuch as close to Me is this people with their mouth, and with their lips they glorify Me, yet their heart is far from Me, and their fear of Me is becoming as the instruction of mortals' teaching."

¹⁶ And these, likewise, are those being sown on rocky places, who, whenever they should be hearing the word, straightway with joy they are getting it." ¹⁷ And they have no root in themselves, but are temporary. Thereafter, at the coming of affliction or persecution because of the word, straightway they are being snared."
