²⁰ A man worthy of credit shall be much blessed, but the wicked shall not be unpunished.

¹⁴ And he answered the king, and said, And who is there among all your servants as faithful as David, and he is a son-in-law of the king, and he is executor of all your commands, and is honorable in your house?

²⁰ And Gehazi the servant of Elisha said, Behold, my Lord has spared this Syrian Naaman, so as not to take of his hand what he has brought; as the Lord lives, I will surely run after him, and take something from him. ²¹ So Gehazi followed after Naaman. And Naaman saw him running after him, and turned back from his chariot to meet him. ²² And Gehazi said, All is well: my master has sent me, saying, Behold, now two young men of the sons of the prophets have come to me from Mount Ephraim; please give them a talent of silver, and two changes of clothes. ²³ And Naaman said, Take two talents of silver. And he took two talents of silver in two bags, and two changes of clothing, and put them upon two of his servants, and they bore them before him. ²⁴ And he came to a secret place, and took them from their hands, and laid them up in the house, and dismissed the men. ²⁵ And he went in himself and stood before his master. And Elisha said to him, ²⁶ From where have you come, Gehazi? And Gehazi said, Your servant has not been anywhere. And Elisha said to him, Did not my heart go with you, when the man returned from his chariot to meet you? And now you have received silver, and now you have received clothing, olive groves and vineyards, sheep and oxen, menservants, and maidservants. ²⁷ The leprosy also of Naaman shall cleave to you, and to your seed forever. And he went out from his presence leprous, like snow.

² that I gave charge to my brother, and Hanani the ruler of the palace, over Jerusalem; for he was a true man, and one that feared God beyond many.

⁶ My eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me; he that walked in a perfect way, the same ministered to me.

⁴ To the upright light has sprung up in darkness; he is pitiful, and merciful, and righteous. ⁵ The good man is he that pities and lends; he will direct his affairs with judgment. ⁶ For he shall not be moved forever; the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance. ⁷ He shall not be afraid of any evil report; his heart is ready to trust in the Lord. ⁸ His heart is established, he shall not fear, till he shall see his desire upon his enemies. ⁹ He has dispersed abroad; he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever; his horn shall be exalted with honor.

⁶ The blessing of the Lord is upon the head of the just, but untimely grief shall cover the mouth of the ungodly.

¹¹ Wealth gotten hastily with iniquity is diminished, but he that gathers for himself with godliness shall be increased. The righteous man is merciful, and lends.

⁵ He that laughs at the poor provokes Him that made him, and he that rejoices at the destruction of another shall not be held guiltless; but he that has compassion shall find mercy.

⁶ A man is valuable and a merciful man precious, but it is hard to find a faithful man.

²¹ A portion hastily gotten at first shall not be blessed in the end.

⁴ If you are poor, measure not yourself with a rich man, but refrain yourself in your wisdom.

²² An envious man makes haste to be rich, and knows not that the merciful man will have the mastery over him.

⁴² And the Lord said, "Who then is a faithful and wise steward, whom his master will make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season?

¹ He also said to His disciples: "There was a certain rich man who had a manager, and this man was accused to him as wasting his possessions.

¹⁰ He that is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he that is unjust in what is least is also unjust in much. ¹¹ Therefore if you were not faithful with the unrighteous mammon, who will entrust to you what is genuine? ¹² And if you were not faithful in what belongs to another, who will give to you what is yours?

² Now furthermore what is required among the stewards, is that one be found faithful. ³ But to me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you, or by a human court. Indeed, I do not even judge myself. ⁴ For I am conscious of nothing, but I have not been justified by this; but He who judges me is the Lord. ⁵ So then judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who also will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make clear the purposes of the hearts. Then each one's praise shall come from God.

⁹ But those desiring to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and many senseless and harmful lusts which sink men in destruction and perdition. ¹⁰ For the love of money is a root of all evils, of which some by aspiring have strayed away from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

¹⁰ Fear none of those things which you are about to suffer. Behold indeed, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, so that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

¹³ "I know your works, and where you live, where Satan's throne is. And you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith in the days in which Antipas was My faithful witness, who was killed among you, where Satan is dwelling.
