⁵ For it was possible for this to be sold for more than three hundred denarii, and to be given to the poor." And they were scolding her.

⁵ Why was this perfume not sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor?" ⁶ This he said, not because he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and had the money box; and he used to pilfer the things which were placed in it.
