⁶⁰ and they did not find any. And though many false witnesses came forward, they did not find any. But at last two false witnesses came forward

¹⁵ One witness shall not stand to testify against a man for any iniquity, or for any fault, or for any sin which he may commit; by the mouth of two witnesses, or by the mouth of three witnesses, shall every word be established.

¹² Deliver me not over to the desire of them that afflict me; for unjust witnesses have risen up against me, and injustice has lied within herself.

¹¹ Unjust witnesses arose, and asked me of things I knew not.

⁴ Then the governors and satraps sought to find occasion against Daniel; but they found against him no occasion, nor trespass, nor error, because he was faithful. ⁵ And the governors said, We shall not find occasion against Daniel, except in the ordinances of his God.

⁵⁷ Then some stood up and were testifying falsely against Him, saying, ⁵⁸ "We heard Him saying, 'I will destroy this temple made with hands, and after three days I will build another one not made with hands.' " ⁵⁹ But not even in this way was their testimony the same.
