²⁶ And you shall come to the grave like ripe grain reaped in its season, or as a sheaf of grain collected in its season.

¹ See how the just man has perished, and no one lays it to heart; and righteous men are taken away, and no one considers; for the righteous has been removed out of the way of injustice. ² His burial shall be in peace; he has been removed out of the way.

¹³ Bring forth the sickles, for the vintage is come: go in, tread the grapes, for the press is full: cause the vats to overflow; for their wickedness is multiplied.

³⁰ Leave both to grow together until the harvest; and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, "First gather together the tares, and bind them into bundles to burn them, but gather together the wheat into my barn." ' "

⁴⁰ Therefore just as the tares are gathered and burned with fire, thus it will be at the end of this age. ⁴¹ The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who work iniquity, ⁴² and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. ⁴³ Then the righteous will shine forth like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!"

⁷ I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. ⁸ Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not only to me, but also to all those who have loved His appearing.

¹³ And I heard a voice out of heaven saying, "Write: 'Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on,' "Yes," says the Spirit, "that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow with them." ¹⁴ And I saw, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat One like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle. ¹⁵ And another angel came out of the temple, crying out with a loud voice to Him that sat on the cloud, "Thrust in Your sickle and reap, because the time has come to reap, because the harvest of the earth has withered." ¹⁶ So He that sat on the cloud swung His sickle onto the earth, and the earth was harvested. ¹⁷ Then another angel came out of the temple in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.
