¹⁴ But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, "Allow the little children come to Me, do not hinder them; for of such is the kingdom of God.

⁷ And I will establish My covenant between you and your seed after you, to their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be your God, and the God of your seed after you.

¹⁰ And this is the covenant which you shall fully keep between Me and you, and between your seed after you for their generations; every male of you shall be circumcised. ¹¹ And you shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskin, and it shall be for a sign of a covenant between Me and you. ¹² And the child of eight days old shall be circumcised by you, every male throughout your generations, and the servant born in the house and he that is bought with money, of every son of a stranger, who is not of your seed. ¹³ He that is born in your house, and he that is bought with money shall surely be circumcised, and My covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant. ¹⁴ And the uncircumcised male, who shall not be circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin on the eighth day, that soul shall be utterly destroyed from his family, for he has broken My covenant.

³¹ And your little ones, who you said should be a prey, them will I bring into the land; and they shall inherit the land, which you rejected.

³⁷ Because He loved your fathers, He also chose you, their seed, after them, and He brought you Himself out of Egypt with His great strength,

¹¹ your wives, and your children, and the stranger who is in the midst of your camp, from your hewer of wood even to your drawer of water, ¹² that you should enter into the covenant of the Lord your God and into His oaths, as many as the Lord your God appoints you this day;

¹¹ And she vowed a vow to the Lord, saying, O Lord God of Sabaoth, if You will indeed look upon the humiliation of Your maidservant and remember me, and give to your maidservant a male child, then will I indeed dedicate him to You till the day of his death; and he shall drink no wine nor strong drink, and no razor shall come upon his head.

²² But Anna did not go up with him, for she said to her husband, I will not go up until the child goes up, when I have weaned him, and he shall be presented before the Lord, and he shall abide there continually.

²⁷ For I have prayed for this child; and the Lord has given me my request that I asked of Him. ²⁸ And I lend him to the Lord all his days that he lives, a loan to the Lord: and she said,

⁴ They were not hid from their children to a second generation; the fathers declaring the praises of the Lord, and His mighty acts, and His wonders which He has done.

¹⁴ May the Lord add blessings to you and to your children. ¹⁵ Blessed are you of the Lord, who made the heaven and the earth.

¹ A Song of Degrees. O Lord, my heart is not exalted, neither have my eyes been haughtily raised: neither have I exercised myself in great matters, nor in things too wonderful for me. ² I shall have sinned if I have not been humble, but have exalted my soul; according to the relation of a weaned child to his mother, so will You recompense my soul.

²³ My elect shall not toil in vain; neither shall they beget children to be cursed; for they are a seed blessed of God, and their offspring with them.

³⁹ And I will give them another way, and another heart, to fear Me continually, and that for good to them and their children after them. ⁴⁰ And I will make with them an everlasting covenant, which I will by no means turn away from them, and I will put My fear into their heart, that they may not depart from Me.

⁴ Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child, he is the greater in the kingdom of heaven.

¹⁰ "See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven.

¹⁴ But Jesus said, "Allow the little children to come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven."

⁵ And looking around at them with anger, being grieved at the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored as whole as the other.

³³ But when He had turned and saw His disciples, He rebuked Peter, saying, "Get behind Me, Satan! For you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men."

⁵⁴ And when they saw this, James and John His disciples said, "Lord, do You wish that we should call down fire from heaven and consume them, as Elijah did?" ⁵⁵ But turning, He rebuked them, and said, "You do not know of what sort of spirit you are. ⁵⁶ For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's lives but to save them." And they went to another village.

¹⁵ And they were bringing infants to Him, that He might touch them; but when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them. ¹⁶ But Jesus, summoning them, said, "Allow the little children to come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.

³⁹ "For the promise is for you and for your children, and for all those afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call."

⁵ taking recollection of the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also.

¹⁵ and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

² as newborn babes, desire the genuine milk of the word, that by it you may grow,

⁵ And no guile was found in their mouth, for they are blameless.
