²⁰ and how the chief priests and our rulers handed Him over to be condemned to death, and they crucified Him.

¹ When morning came, all the chief priests and elders of the people plotted against Jesus, so as to put Him to death. ² And having bound Him, they led Him away and delivered Him to Pontius Pilate the governor.

²⁰ But the chief priests and elders persuaded the crowds that they should ask for Barabbas, but they should destroy Jesus.

¹ Immediately, in the morning, the chief priests held a consultation, along with the elders and scribes and the whole Sanhedrin; and having bound Jesus, they led Him away, and delivered Him to Pilate.

⁶⁶ And when it became day, the council of the elders of the people, the chief priests and scribes, came together and led Him into their council, saying,

¹³ And Pilate, having called together the chief priests, the rulers, and the people,

¹³ The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you indeed delivered up and denied Him in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to release Him. ¹⁴ But you denied the Holy and Just One, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, ¹⁵ and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses.

⁸ Then Peter, having been filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, "Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: ⁹ If we today are being judged for a good work to a weak man, by what means he has been made well, ¹⁰ let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by this name this man stands here before you whole.

²⁷ "For truly they were assembled against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, ²⁸ to do all that Your hand and Your counsel foreordained to come to pass.

³⁰ The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you murdered by hanging upon a cross. ³¹ Him God has exalted to His right hand as Prince and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.

²⁷ For those dwelling in Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they did not know Him, nor the voices of the Prophets which are being read according to each Sabbath, condemning him, they fulfilled the Scriptures. ²⁸ And finding no cause for death, they asked Pilate that He be executed. ²⁹ And when they finished all the things having been written about Him, taking Him down from the tree, they put Him in a tomb.
