¹⁶ But their eyes were restrained, so that they did not recognize Him.

¹⁸ And they came down to him; and he prayed to the Lord, and said, Strike this people, I pray, with blindness. And He struck them with blindness, according to the word of Elisha. ¹⁹ And Elisha said to them, This is not the city, and this is not the way: follow me, and I will bring you to the man whom you seek. And he led them away to Samaria. ²⁰ And it came to pass when they entered into Samaria, that Elisha said, O Lord, open their eyes, and let them see. And the Lord opened their eyes, and they saw; and behold, they were in the midst of Samaria.

¹² After that, He appeared in a different form to two of them as they were going into the country.

³¹ Then their eyes were opened and they recognized Him; and He vanished from their sight.

¹⁴ And having said these things, she turned back and saw Jesus standing there, and did not know that it was Jesus.

⁴ But as daybreak had already come, Jesus stood upon the shore; however the disciples did not know that it was Jesus.
