²² And it came to pass that the beggar died, and he was carried away by the angels to Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.

³⁴ And Jehu went in and ate and drank, and said, Look after this cursed woman and bury her, for she is a king's daughter. ³⁵ And they went to bury her; but they found no more of her but the skull and the feet and the palms of her hands.

¹³ Now I should have lain down and been quiet, I should have slept and been at rest, ¹⁴ with kings and counselors of the earth, who gloried in their swords; ¹⁵ or with rulers, whose gold was abundant, who filled their houses with silver: ¹⁶ or I should have been as an untimely birth proceeding from his mother's womb, or as infants who never saw light. ¹⁷ There the ungodly have burnt out the fury of rage; there the wearied in body rest. ¹⁸ And the men of old time have together ceased to hear the voice of the oppressor. ¹⁹ The small and great are there, and the servant that feared his lord.

¹³ And they spend their days in wealth, and fall asleep in the rest of the grave.

³⁰ For the wicked hastens to the day of destruction: they shall be led away for the day of His vengeance. ³¹ Who will tell him his way to his face, since he has done it? Who shall recompense him? ³² And he has been led away to the tombs, and he has watched over the heaps.

⁶ They that trust in their strength, and boast themselves in the multitude of their wealth — ⁷ a brother does not redeem, shall a man redeem? He shall not give to God a ransom for himself, ⁸ or the price for the redemption of his soul, though he labor forever, ⁹ and live to the end, so that he should not see corruption. ¹⁰ When he shall see wise men dying, the fool and the senseless one shall perish together; and they shall leave their wealth to strangers. ¹¹ And their tombs are their houses forever, even their tabernacles to all generations; they have called their lands after their own names. ¹² And man being in honor, understands not; he is compared to the senseless cattle, and is likened unto them.

¹⁶ Fear not when a man is enriched, and when the glory of his house is increased. ¹⁷ For he shall take nothing when he dies; neither shall his glory descend with him. ¹⁸ For his soul shall be blessed in his life; he shall give thanks to you when you do well to him. ¹⁹ Yet he shall go in to the generation of his fathers; he shall never see light.

¹⁸ Surely You have appointed judgments to them because of their crafty dealings; You have cast them down when they were lifted up. ¹⁹ How have they become desolate! Suddenly they have failed; they have perished because of their iniquity. ²⁰ As the dream of one awakening, O Lord, in Your city You will despise their image.

¹¹ For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. ¹² They shall bear you up on their hands, lest at any time you dash your foot against a stone.

³² The ungodly shall be driven away in his wickedness, but he who is secure in his own holiness is just.

¹⁰ And then I saw the ungodly carried into the tombs, and that out of the holy place. And they departed, and were praised in the city, because they had done thus. This also is vanity.

¹⁸ All the kings of the nations lie in honor, every man in his house.

¹⁶ And what have you to do here, that you have hewn yourself a tomb, and made yourself a tomb on high, and have graven for yourself a dwelling in the rock?

¹ See how the just man has perished, and no one lays it to heart; and righteous men are taken away, and no one considers; for the righteous has been removed out of the way of injustice. ² His burial shall be in peace; he has been removed out of the way.

¹¹ And I say to you that many shall come from east and west, and recline to eat with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven;

³⁸ And the field is the world, and the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the evil one. ³⁹ The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. ⁴⁰ Therefore just as the tares are gathered and burned with fire, thus it will be at the end of this age. ⁴¹ The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who work iniquity, ⁴² and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. ⁴³ Then the righteous will shine forth like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!"

¹⁰ "See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven.

³¹ And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

³⁶ For what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and forfeits his soul?

²⁰ But God said to him, 'You fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have prepared?'

²³ Now there was reclining on Jesus' bosom one of His disciples, the one whom Jesus loved.

²⁰ Then Peter, turning around, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also had reclined on His chest at the supper, and said, "Lord, who is the one who betrays You?"

¹⁴ Are they not all ministering spirits being sent out to minister for the sake of those who are about to inherit salvation?

¹⁴ Therefore since the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same things, in order that through death He might destroy the one having the power of death, that is, the devil,

¹¹ For the sun arose with burning heat and withered the grass, and its flower fell off, and its beautiful appearance perished. So the rich man also shall fade away in his pursuits.

²⁴ who Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, in order that having died to sins, we might live unto righteousness--by whose stripes you were healed.

¹³ And I heard a voice out of heaven saying, "Write: 'Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on,' "Yes," says the Spirit, "that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow with them."
