⁶ And the children of Judah came to Joshua in Gilgal, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite said to him, You know the word that the Lord spoke to Moses the man of God concerning me and you in Kadesh Barnea.

⁷ My servant Moses is not so; he is faithful in all My house. ⁸ I will speak plainly to him, mouth to mouth, and not in dark speeches; and he has seen the glory of the Lord; and why were you not afraid to speak against My servant Moses?

⁶ Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.

²⁶ And they proceeded and came to Moses and Aaron and all the congregation of the children of Israel, to the Wilderness of Paran Kadesh; and they brought word to them and to all the congregation, and they showed the fruit of the land.

⁶ But Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, of those that spied out the land, tore their clothes,

²⁴ But My servant Caleb, because there was another spirit in him, and he followed Me, I will bring him into the land into which he entered, and his seed shall inherit it.

³⁰ you shall not enter into the land for which I stretched out My hand to establish you upon it; except only Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.

¹² except Caleb the son of Jephunneh, who was set apart, and Joshua the son of Nun, for they closely followed after the Lord.

³⁶ except Caleb the son of Jephunneh, he shall see it; and to him I will give the land on which he went up, and to his sons, because he attended to the things of the Lord. ³⁷ And the Lord was angry with me for your sake, saying, Neither shall you by any means enter therein. ³⁸ Joshua the son of Nun, who stands by you, he shall enter in there; strengthen him, for he shall cause Israel to inherit it.

¹ And this is the blessing with which Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.

⁵ So Moses the servant of the Lord died in the land of Moab, by the word of the Lord.

¹⁰ And there rose up no more a prophet in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face,

¹⁹ And the people went up out of the Jordan on the tenth day of the first month; and the children of Israel encamped in Gilgal in the region eastward from Jericho.

¹⁴ Therefore Hebron became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite until this day, because he followed the commandment of the Lord God of Israel.

¹⁷ And Othniel the son of Kenaz the brother of Caleb took it; and he gave him Achsah his daughter for a wife.

⁶ And the woman went in, and spoke to her husband, saying, A Man of God came to me, and His appearance was as of an angel of God, very fearful. And I did not ask Him where He was from, and He did not tell me His name. ⁷ And He said to me, Behold, you are with child, and shall bring forth a son; and now drink no wine nor strong drink, and eat no unclean thing; for the child shall be holy to God from the womb until the day of his death. ⁸ And Manoah prayed to the Lord and said, I pray to You, O Lord my lord, concerning the Man of God whom You sent; let Him now come to us once more, and teach us what we shall do with the child about to be born.

¹ And behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of the Lord to Bethel, and Jeroboam stood at the altar to sacrifice.

¹⁴ and went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak. And he said to him, Are you the man of God that came out of Judah? And he said to him, I am.

⁹ And the woman said to her husband, See now, I know that this is a holy man of God who comes over continually to us.

¹⁶ And Elisha said to her, At this time next year, as the season is, you shall be alive, and embrace a son. And she said, No, my lord, do not lie to your servant.

⁴² And there came a man over from Baal Shalisha, and brought to the man of God twenty barley loaves and cakes of figs, of the firstfruits. And he said, Give to the people, and let them eat.

⁷ And Elisha came to Damascus; and the king of Syria the son of Hadad was ill, and they brought him word, saying, The man of God has come here.

¹¹ And he stood before him, and fixed his countenance till he was ashamed. And the man of God wept.

¹ A Prayer of Moses the man of God. Lord, You have been our refuge in all generations.

¹¹ You however, O man of God, flee these things. But pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, gentleness.

¹⁷ that the man of God may be proficient, having been thoroughly equipped for every good work.
