⁵¹ Now this he did not say on his own, but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus was about to die for the nation,

³⁰ And you shall put the Manifestation and the Truth on the breastplate of judgment; and it shall be on the breast of Aaron, when he goes into the holy place before the Lord; and Aaron shall bear the judgments of the children of Israel on his breast before the Lord continually.

²⁸ And God opened the mouth of the donkey, and she said to Balaam, What have I done to you, that you have struck me this third time?

² And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and beheld Israel encamped by their tribes. And the Spirit of God came upon him.

¹⁴ And now, behold, I return to my place; come, I will advise you of what this people shall do to your people in the last days. ¹⁵ And he took up his parable and said, The utterance of Balaam the son of Beor, the man whose eyes are truly open, ¹⁶ hearing the oracles of God, receiving knowledge from the Most High, and having seen a vision of God in sleep; his eyes were opened. ¹⁷ I will point to Him, but not now; I bless Him, but He draws not near: a Star shall arise out of Jacob, a Man shall spring forth out of Israel; and shall crush the princes of Moab, and shall spoil all the sons of Seth. ¹⁸ And Edom shall be an inheritance, and Esau his enemy shall be an inheritance of Israel, and Israel does valiantly. ¹⁹ And One shall arise out of Jacob, and destroy out of the city him that escapes. ²⁰ And having seen Amalek, he took up his parable and said, Amalek is the first of the nations; yet his seed shall perish. ²¹ And having seen the Kenite, he took up his parable and said, Your dwelling place is strong; yet though you should put your nest in a rock, ²² and though Beor should have a skillfully contrived hiding place, the Assyrians shall carry you away captive. ²³ And he looked upon Og, and took up his parable and said, Alas, who shall live, when God shall do these things? ²⁴ And one shall come forth from the hands of the Cyprians, and shall afflict Asshur, and shall afflict the Hebrews, and they shall perish together. ²⁵ And Balaam rose up and departed and returned to his place, and Balak went to his own home.

²⁷ for the ark of the Lord God was there in those days, ²⁸ and Phineas the son of Eleazar the son of Aaron stood before it in those days; and the children of Israel inquired of the Lord, saying, Shall we yet again go forth to fight with our brethren the sons of Benjamin? And the Lord said, Go up, for tomorrow I will give them into your hands.

⁹ And David knew that Saul spoke openly of mischief against him. So David said to Abiathar the priest, Bring the ephod of the Lord.

⁶ So Saul inquired of the Lord, and the Lord answered him not by dreams, nor by manifestations, nor by prophets.

⁵ But He was wounded on account of our sins, and was bruised because of our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and by His stripes we are healed. ⁶ All we like sheep have gone astray; everyone has gone astray in his way; and the Lord gave Him up for our sins. ⁷ And He, because of His affliction, opened not His mouth; He was led as a sheep to the slaughter, and as a lamb before the shearer is silent, so He opened not His mouth. ⁸ In His humiliation His judgment was taken away; who shall declare His generation? For His life is taken away from the earth; because of the iniquities of My people He was led to death.

²⁶ And after the sixty-two weeks, the Anointed One shall be killed, and there is no judgment in Him. And He shall destroy the city and the sanctuary with the prince that is to come: they shall be cut off with a flood, and to the end of the war which is rapidly completed He shall appoint the city to desolations.

²² Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name we cast out demons, and in Your name we did many mighty works?' ²³ "And then I will confess to them, 'I never knew you! Depart from Me, you who work iniquity!'

²⁸ just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many."

¹⁵ Just as the Father knows Me, I also know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.

²⁵ whom God set forth as a propitiation through faith in His blood, for a demonstration of His righteousness through the passing over of the sins having previously occurred, in the forbearance of God, ²⁶ for a demonstration of His righteousness in the present time, that He might be just and the justifier of he who is of the faith of Jesus.

² And though I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

²¹ For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

¹³ Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us, for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,"

⁴ But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, ⁵ so that He might redeem those under the law, so that we might receive the adoption.

²⁴ who Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, in order that having died to sins, we might live unto righteousness--by whose stripes you were healed.

¹⁸ For Christ also suffered once to atone for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring you to God, being put to death in the flesh, but made alive by the Spirit,

¹⁵ They have left behind the straight way and gone astray, having followed after the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; ¹⁶ but he was rebuked for his own lawlessness: a dumb donkey speaking with the voice of a man restrained the madness of the prophet. ¹⁷ These are waterless wells, clouds being driven by a storm, for whom the darkness of the netherworld has been reserved forever.
