³ For what does it matter to the Lord, if you were blameless in your works? Or is it profitable that you should perfect your way?

¹⁷ And I know, O Lord, that You are He that searches the hearts, and You love righteousness. I have willingly offered all these things in simplicity of heart. And now I have seen with joy Your people, who are present here, willingly offering to You.

¹⁰ For He already knows my way, and He has tried me as gold. ¹¹ And I will go forth according to His commandments, for I have kept His ways; and I shall not turn aside from His commandments, ¹² neither shall I transgress; but I have hid His words in my bosom.

¹ For the end, A Song of David, to Jeduthun. I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue; I set a guard on my mouth, while the sinner stood in my presence.

³ For they that work iniquity have not walked in His ways. ⁴ You have commanded us diligently to keep Your precepts. ⁵ O that my ways were directed to keep Your statutes. ⁶ Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect to all Your commandments.

⁵⁹ I thought on Your ways, and turned my feet to Your testimonies.

¹⁰ He will not take pleasure in the strength of a horse; neither is He well-pleased with the legs of a man. ¹¹ The Lord takes pleasure in them that fear Him, and in all that hope in His mercy.

¹ False balances are an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is acceptable unto Him.

²⁰ Perverse ways are an abomination to the Lord, but all they that are blameless in their ways are acceptable to Him.

²² Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but he that deals faithfully is accepted by Him.

⁸ The sacrifices of the ungodly are an abomination to the Lord, but the prayers of them that walk honestly are acceptable to Him.

¹⁷ you that have provoked God with your words. But you said, In what way have we provoked Him? In that you say, Everyone that does evil is a pleasing object in the sight of the Lord, and He takes pleasure in such; and where is the God of justice?

¹⁶ And in this I myself am engaging, having a conscience blameless toward God and men through everything.

¹ Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

¹⁸ And I have all things and abound. I have been made full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God.
