²¹ And God shall bring His hand upon the host of heaven, and upon the kings of the earth.

¹² even to Him that is awesome, and that takes away the spirits of princes; to Him that is awesome among the kings of the earth.

⁶ The high praises of God shall be in their mouth, and two-edged swords in their hands; ⁷ to execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments among the peoples; ⁸ to bind their kings with fetters, and their nobles with manacles of iron; ⁹ to execute on them the judgment written: this honor have all His saints.

¹² And it shall come to pass, when the Lord has finished doing all things on Mount Zion and Jerusalem, that I will visit upon the proud heart, even upon the ruler of the Assyrians, and upon the boastful haughtiness of his eyes.

²⁵ For yet a little while, and the indignation shall cease; but My wrath shall be against their council. ²⁶ And God will stir up enemies against them, according to the stroke of Midian in the place of affliction; and His wrath shall be by the way of the sea, even to the way that leads to Egypt. ²⁷ And it shall come to pass in that day, that his yoke shall be taken away from your shoulder, and his fear from you, and the yoke shall be destroyed from off your shoulders.

¹ And the Lord will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and they shall rest on their land; and the stranger shall be added to them; yes, they shall be added to the house of Jacob. ² And the Gentiles shall take them, and bring them into their place; and they shall inherit them, and they shall be multiplied upon the land for servants and handmaidens; and they that took them captives shall become captives to them; and they that had lordship over them shall be under their rule.

¹⁰ God will give rest on this mountain, and the country of Moab shall be trodden down, as they tread the floor with wagons. ¹¹ And He shall spread forth His hands, even as He also brings down man to destroy him; and He shall bring low his pride regarding that in which he has laid his hands. ¹² And He shall bring down the height of the refuge of the wall, and it shall come down, even to the ground.

² For the wrath of the Lord is upon all nations, and His anger upon the number of them, to destroy them, and give them up to slaughter. ³ And their slain shall be cast forth, and their corpses; and their stench shall come up, and the mountains shall be made wet with their blood. ⁴ And all the powers of the heavens shall melt, and the sky shall be rolled up like a scroll; and all the stars shall fall like leaves from a vine, and as leaves fall from a fig tree. ⁵ My sword has been made drunk in heaven; behold, it shall come down upon Edom, and with judgment upon the people doomed to destruction. ⁶ The sword of the Lord is filled with blood, it is glutted with fat, with the blood of goats and lambs, and with the fat of goats and rams; for the Lord has a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in Edom. ⁷ And the mighty ones shall fall with them, and the rams and the bulls; and the land shall be soaked with blood, and shall be filled with their fat. ⁸ For it is the day of judgment of the Lord, and the year of the recompense of Zion in judgment. ⁹ And her valleys shall be turned into pitch, and her land into sulphur; and her land shall be as pitch burning night and day; ¹⁰ and it shall never be quenched, and her smoke shall go up; it shall be made desolate throughout her generations, ¹¹ and for a long time birds and hedgehogs, and ibises and ravens shall dwell in it; and the measuring line of desolation shall be cast over it, and satyrs shall dwell in it. ¹² Her princes shall be no more, for her kings and her great men shall be destroyed. ¹³ And thorns shall spring up in their cities, and in her strongholds; and they shall be habitations of monsters, and a court of ostriches. ¹⁴ And demons shall meet with satyrs, and they shall cry one to the other; there shall the satyrs rest, having found for themselves a place of rest. ¹⁵ There has the hedgehog made its nest, and the earth has safely preserved its young; there have the deer met, and seen one another's faces. ¹⁶ They passed by in full number, and not one of them perished; they sought not one another; for the Lord commanded them, and His Spirit gathered them. ¹⁷ And He shall cast lots for them, and His hand has portioned out their pasture, saying, You shall inherit the land forever; they shall rest on it throughout all generations.

¹ And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, ² Son of man, set your face against Gog, and the land of Magog, Rosh, prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, ³ and say to him, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against you O Gog, Rosh prince of Meshach and Tubal: ⁴ and I will gather you, and all your army, horses and horsemen, all wearing breastplates, with a great multitude, shields and helmets and swords; ⁵ Persians, Ethiopians, and Libyans; all with helmets and shields. ⁶ Gomer, and all belonging to him; the house of Togarmah, from the end of the north, and all belonging to him; and many nations with you. ⁷ Be prepared, prepare yourself, you, and all your multitude that is assembled with you, and you shall be to Me for a guard. ⁸ He shall be prepared after many days, and he shall come at the end of years, and shall come to a land that is brought back from the sword, when the people have been gathered from many nations against the land of Israel, which was entirely desolate; and he has come forth out of the nations, and they shall all dwell securely. ⁹ And you shall go up as rain, and shall arrive as a cloud to cover the land, and there shall be you, and all that are about you, and many nations with you. ¹⁰ Thus says the Lord God: It shall also come to pass in that day, that thoughts shall rise up into your heart, and you shall devise an evil plan. ¹¹ And you shall say, I will go up to the rejected land; I will come upon them that are at ease in tranquility, and dwelling in peace, all inhabiting a land in which there is no wall, nor bars, nor have they doors; ¹² to seize plunder, and to take their spoil; to turn my hands against the desolate land that is now inhabited, and against a nation that is gathered from many nations, that have acquired property, dwelling in the midst of the land. ¹³ Sheba, Dedan, and Carthaginian merchants, and all their villages shall say to you, You have come for plunder to take a prey, and to get spoils; you have gathered your multitude to take silver and gold, to carry off property, to take spoils. ¹⁴ Therefore prophesy, son of man, and say to Gog, Thus says the Lord: Will you not arise in that day, when my people Israel are dwelling securely, ¹⁵ and come out of your place from the farthest north, and many nations with you? All of them mounted on horses, a great gathering, and a large force? ¹⁶ And you shall come up upon My people Israel as a cloud to cover the land; it shall come to pass in the last days, that I will bring you up upon My land, that all the nations may know Me, when I am sanctified in you before them. ¹⁷ Thus says the Lord God, to Gog: You are the one concerning whom I spoke in former times, by the hand of My servants the prophets of Israel, in those days and years, that I would bring you up against them. ¹⁸ And it shall come to pass in that day, in the day when Gog shall come against the Land of Israel, says the Lord God, ¹⁹ that My wrath and My jealousy shall arise, I have spoken in the fire of My anger, verily in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; ²⁰ and the fish of the sea shall quake at the presence of the Lord, and the birds of the sky and the wild beasts of the field, and all the reptiles that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are on the face of the earth; and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the valleys shall fall, and every wall on the land shall fall. ²¹ And I will summon against it even every fear, says the Lord; the sword of every man shall be against his brother. ²² And I will judge him with pestilence, and blood, and sweeping rain, and hailstones; and I will rain upon him fire and brimstone, and upon all that are with him, and upon many nations with him. ²³ And I will be magnified, and sanctified, and glorified; and I will be known in the presence of many nations, and they shall know that I am the Lord.

⁹ Proclaim these things among the Gentiles; declare war, arouse the warriors, draw near and go up, all you men of war. ¹⁰ Beat your plowshares into swords, and your sickles into spears: let the weak say, I am strong. ¹¹ Gather yourselves together, and go in, all you nations round about, and gather yourselves there; let the timid become a warrior. ¹² Let them be aroused, let all the nations go up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the Gentiles round about. ¹³ Bring forth the sickles, for the vintage is come: go in, tread the grapes, for the press is full: cause the vats to overflow; for their wickedness is multiplied. ¹⁴ Noises have resounded in the valley of judgment: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of judgment. ¹⁵ The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their light. ¹⁶ And the Lord shall cry out of Zion, and shall utter His voice from Jerusalem; and the heaven and the earth shall be shaken, but the Lord shall spare His people, and shall strengthen the children of Israel. ¹⁷ And you shall know that I am the Lord your God, who dwells in Zion My holy mountain: and Jerusalem shall be holy, and strangers shall not pass through her anymore.

¹⁹ Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate plain, because of the wrongs of the children of Judah, because they have shed righteous blood in their land.

^{21 (2:22)} Speak to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, of the tribe of Judah, saying, I shake the heaven, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; ^{22 (2:23)} and I will overthrow the thrones of kings, and I will destroy the power of the kings of the nations; and I will overthrow chariots and riders; and the horses and their riders shall come down, everyone by the sword striving against his brother.

¹² And this shall be the plague with which the Lord will smite all the nations, as many as have fought against Jerusalem: their flesh shall dissolve while they are standing upon their feet, and their eyes shall melt out of their sockets, and their tongue shall dissolve in their mouth. ¹³ And there shall be in that day a great panic from the Lord upon them; and they shall lay hold every man of the hand of his neighbor, and his hand shall be clasped with the hand of his neighbor. ¹⁴ Judah also shall fight in Jerusalem; and God shall gather the strength of all the nations round about — gold, silver, and apparel, in great abundance. ¹⁵ And this shall be the overthrow of the horses, mules, camels, donkeys, and all the beasts that are in those camps, according to this overthrow. ¹⁶ And it shall come to pass, that whoever shall be left of all the nations that came against Jerusalem, shall come up every year to worship the King, the Lord Almighty, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. ¹⁷ And it shall come to pass, that whichever of all the families of the earth shall not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord Almighty, even these shall be added to the others. ¹⁸ And if the family of Egypt shall not go up, nor come; then upon them shall be the plague with which the Lord shall smite all the nations, whichever of them shall not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. ¹⁹ This shall be the sin of Egypt, and the sin of all the nations, those that shall not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

¹⁴ Then the sky was split like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island were removed out of their places. ¹⁵ And the kings of the earth, and the magnates and the high-ranking military men, and the rich and the mighty, and every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the crags of the mountains. ¹⁶ And they said to the mountains and crags, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him that sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb! ¹⁷ For the great day of His wrath has come, and who shall be able to stand?"

¹⁴ These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, and elect, and faithful."

⁹ "The kings of the earth who committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her shall weep and mourn over her, when they see the smoke of her burning,

¹⁸ so that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and of those who ride on them, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, both small and great." ¹⁹ And I saw the Beast and the kings of the earth and their armies, having been gathered together to make war against Him who rode on the horse and against His army. ²⁰ Then the Beast was apprehended, and with him the False Prophet who had performed the signs before him, by which he had deceived those who received the mark of the Beast and those who worshipped his image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. ²¹ And the rest were slain with the sword which proceeds from the mouth of Him who rode on the horse. And all the birds gorged themselves with their flesh.
