⁸ And Abraham said, God will provide for Himself a sheep for a whole burnt offering, my son. And both, having gone together,

⁶ Sacrifice and offering You did not desire; but a body You have prepared for me; whole burnt offering and sacrifice for sin You did not require. ⁷ Then I said, Behold, I have come; in the volume of the book it is written of me, ⁸ I desired to do Your will, O my God, and Your law in the midst of my heart.

¹⁹ Then You spoke in a vision to Your children, and said, I have laid help on a mighty one; I have exalted one chosen out of My people. ²⁰ I have found David My servant; I have anointed him by My holy mercy.

²¹ and your ears shall hear the words of them that went after you to lead you astray, who say, This is the way, let us walk in it, whether to the right or to the left.

⁷ Purge out the old leaven, in order that you may be a new batch of dough, since you are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us. ⁸ So then let us observe the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

¹³ No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not permit you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation, He will also make the way out, so as for you to be able to bear it.

⁹ Yes, we have had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead, ¹⁰ who delivered us from so great a death, and is delivering us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us,

¹⁹ but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb blameless and spotless, ²⁰ having been foreknown indeed before the foundation of the world, He was made manifest in these last times for you,
