⁴ But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,

¹⁹ And God said, I will pass by before you with My glory, and I will call by My name, LORD, before you; and I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and will have pity on whom I will have pity.

⁶ And the Lord passed by before his face, and proclaimed, The Lord God, gracious and merciful, longsuffering and very compassionate, and true, ⁷ and keeping justice and mercy for thousands, taking away iniquity and unrighteousness and sins; and He will not clear the guilty; bringing the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and to the children's children, to the third and fourth generation.

⁷ It is not because you are more numerous than all other nations that the Lord has preferred you, and the Lord has chosen you: for you are fewer in number than all other nations. ⁸ But because the Lord has loved you, and He is keeping the oath which He swore to your fathers; the Lord has brought you out with a strong hand, and the Lord has redeemed you from the house of bondage, out of the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

⁵ Not for your righteousness, nor for the holiness of your heart, do you go in to inherit their land, but because of the wickedness of these nations, the Lord shall destroy them from before you, and that He may establish the covenant, which the Lord swore to our fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. ⁶ And you shall know this day, that it is not for your righteousnesses that the Lord your God gives to you this good land to inherit, for you are a stiff-necked people.

¹⁷ and refused to listen, and remembered not Your wonders which You worked among them. And they hardened their neck, and appointed a leader to return to their slavery in Egypt. But You, O God, are merciful and compassionate, long-suffering, and abundant in mercy, and You did not forsake them.

¹ For the end, A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came to him, when he had gone in to Bathsheba. Have mercy upon me, O God, according to Your great mercy; and according to the multitude of Your compassions, blot out my transgression.

⁵ For You, O Lord, are kind and gentle, and plenteous in mercy to all that call upon You.

¹⁵ But You, O Lord God, are compassionate and merciful, longsuffering, and abundant in mercy and true.

⁸ The Lord is compassionate and gracious, longsuffering, and full of mercy. ⁹ He will not always be angry; neither will He be wrathful forever. ¹⁰ He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor recompensed us according to our iniquities. ¹¹ For as the heaven is high above the earth, the Lord has so increased His mercy toward them that fear Him.

⁸ The Lord is compassionate, and merciful; long suffering, and abundant in mercy.

⁶ Seek the Lord, and when you find Him, call upon Him; and when He draws near to you, ⁷ let the ungodly leave his ways, and the transgressor his counsels; and let him return to the Lord, and he shall find mercy; for He shall abundantly pardon your sins. ⁸ For My counsels are not as your counsels, nor are My ways as your ways, says the Lord.

³ The Lord appeared to him from afar, saying, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn you.

⁶ And I passed by to you, and saw you polluted in your blood; and I said to you, Let there be life out of your blood; ⁷ increase; I have made you as the springing grass of the field. So you increased and grew, and entered into great cities: your breasts were set, and your hair grew, whereas you were naked and bare. ⁸ And I passed by you and saw you, and behold, it was your time and a time of resting; and I spread My wings over you, and covered your shame, and swore an oath to you; and I entered into covenant with you, says the Lord, and you became Mine.

⁹ To you, O Lord our God, belong compassion and forgiveness, whereas we have departed from You.

² And he prayed to the Lord, and said, O Lord, were not these my words when I was yet in my land? Therefore I made haste to flee to Tarshish; because I knew that You are merciful and compassionate, long suffering, and abundant in kindness, and relent of bringing about evil.

¹⁸ Who is a God like You, canceling iniquities, and passing over the sins of the remnant of His inheritance? And He has not kept His anger for a testimony, for He delights in mercy. ¹⁹ He will return and have mercy upon us; He will sink our iniquities, and they shall be cast into the depth of the sea, even all our sins. ²⁰ He shall give blessings truly to Jacob, and mercy to Abraham, as You swore to our fathers, according to the former days.

⁷⁸ through the tender mercy of our God, with which the Dayspring from on high has visited us;

¹⁴ And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, ¹⁵ that everyone who believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. ¹⁶ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. ¹⁷ For God did not send His Son into the world so that He might condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

⁴ Or do you despise the riches of His kindness, and forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?

⁸ But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

²⁰ But the law came in alongside, so that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace superabounded, ²¹ so that just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

¹⁵ For He says to Moses, "I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion." ¹⁶ So then it is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God who shows mercy.

²³ and so that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory,

¹² For there is no difference between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord of all is rich to all who call upon Him.

⁷ In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace

⁷ that in the coming ages He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

⁸ To me, the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,

¹³ But we are obligated to give thanks to God always for you, brothers beloved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning for salvation, through sanctification of the Spirit and belief in the truth,

¹⁴ and the grace of our Lord superabounded with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

⁹ who having saved us, and having called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time itself,

⁴ But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, ⁵ not by works of righteousness which we did, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, ⁶ whom He poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, ⁷ that having been justified by His grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

¹⁰ In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. ¹¹ Beloved, if in this way God loved us, indeed we ought to love one another. ¹² No one has ever seen God. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. ¹³ (By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.) ¹⁴ And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. ¹⁵ Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. ¹⁶ And we have come to know and believe the love which God has in us. God is love, and he that abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. ¹⁷ By this love has been perfected with us: that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because just as He is, we also are in this world. ¹⁸ There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment. But he that fears has not been made perfect in love. ¹⁹ We love Him because He first loved us.
