⁴³ And his servant said, Why should I set this before a hundred men? And he said, Give to the people, and let them eat; for thus says the Lord: They shall eat and have some left over.

¹⁶ But Jesus said to them, "They do not need to go away. You give them food to eat." ¹⁷ And they said to Him, "We do not have anything here except five loaves of bread and two fish."

²⁰ So they all ate and were satisfied, and they took up what they had left of the fragments, twelve baskets full.

³³ Then His disciples said to Him, "Where could we get so many loaves of bread in this deserted place, so as to satisfy so great a crowd?" ³⁴ Jesus said to them, "How many loaves do you have?" And they said, "Seven, and a few small fish."

³⁷ So they all ate and were satisfied. And they took up what they had left of the fragments, seven hampers full.

⁸ But Jesus, knowing about it, said to them, "O you of little faith, why are you reasoning among yourselves, because you did not take bread? ⁹ Do you not yet perceive, or remember the five loaves of the five thousand and how many baskets you took up? ¹⁰ Nor the seven loaves of the four thousand and how many hampers you took up?

³⁷ But answering, He said to them, "You give them something to eat." And they said to Him, "Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread and give them something to eat?" ³⁸ But He said to them, "How many loaves do you have? Go and see." And when they found out they said, "Five, and two fish." ³⁹ Then He gave orders for them all to recline in groups on the green grass.

⁴² So they all ate and were filled. ⁴³ And they took up twelve baskets full of fragments and from the fish.

⁴ Then His disciples answered Him, "From where will anyone be able to satisfy these people with bread here in this deserted place?"

²⁰ "And when I broke the seven for the four thousand, how many hampers full of fragments did you take up?" And they said, "Seven."

¹³ But He said to them, "You give them something to eat." And they said, "We have no more than five loaves of bread and two fish, unless we go and buy food for all these people."

¹⁷ So they all ate and were satisfied, and twelve baskets of the remaining fragments were taken up by them.

⁹ There is a little boy here who has five barley loaves and two small fish, but what are they for so many?"

¹¹ And Jesus took the loaves, and having given thanks He distributed them to the disciples, and the disciples to those who were reclining; and likewise of the fish, as much as they wished. ¹² But when they were filled, He said to His disciples, "Gather up the leftover fragments, so that nothing may be lost." ¹³ Therefore they gathered them up, and they filled twelve baskets of fragments from the five barley loaves which were left over by those who had eaten.
