¹⁰ nor murmer, just as also some of them murmered, and were destroyed by the destroyer.

²³ And the Lord shall pass by to smite the Egyptians, and shall see the blood upon the lintel, and upon the doorposts; and the Lord shall pass over the door, and shall not allow the destroyer to enter into your houses to kill you.

²⁴ And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?

² all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron. ³ And the children of Israel said to them, Would we had died smitten by the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the fleshpots, and ate bread to the full! For you have brought us out into this wilderness, to slay all this congregation with hunger. ⁴ And the Lord said to Moses, Behold, I will rain bread upon you out of heaven; and the people shall go forth, and they shall gather their daily portion for the day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in My law or not. ⁵ And it shall come to pass on the sixth day that they shall prepare whatsoever they have brought in, and it shall be double of what they shall have gathered for the day, daily. ⁶ And Moses and Aaron said to all the congregation of the children of Israel, At evening you shall know that the Lord has brought you out of the land of Egypt; ⁷ and in the morning you shall see the glory of the Lord, inasmuch as He hears your murmuring against God; and who are we, that you continue to murmur against us? ⁸ And Moses said, This shall be when the Lord gives you meat to eat in the evening, and bread in the morning to the full, because the Lord has heard your murmuring, which you murmur against us: and what are we? For your murmuring is not against us, but against God. ⁹ And Moses said to Aaron, Say to all the congregation of the children of Israel, Come near before God; for He has heard your murmuring.

² And the people reviled Moses, saying, Give us water, that we may drink! And Moses said to them, Why do you revile me, and why do you tempt the Lord? ³ And the people thirsted there for water, and there the people murmured against Moses, saying, Why is this? Have you brought us up out of Egypt to slay us and our children and our cattle with thirst?

² And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron; and all the congregation said to them,

²⁷ How long shall I endure this wicked congregation? I have heard their murmurings against Me, even the murmuring of the children of Israel, which they have murmured concerning you. ²⁸ Say to them, As I live, says the Lord, surely as you spoke into My ears, so will I do to you. ²⁹ Your caracasses shall fall in this wilderness; and all those of you that were reviewed, and those of you that were numbered from twenty years old and upward, all that murmured against Me, ³⁰ you shall not enter into the land for which I stretched out My hand to establish you upon it; except only Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.

³⁷ the men that spoke evil reports against the land, died of the plague before the Lord.

⁴¹ And the children of Israel murmured the next day against Moses and Aaron, saying, You have killed the people of the Lord.

⁴⁶ And Moses said to Aaron, Take a censer, and put on it fire from the altar, and put incense on it, and carry it away quickly into the camp, and make atonement for them, for wrath has gone forth from the presence of the Lord, and it has begun to destroy the people. ⁴⁷ And Aaron did as Moses spoke to him, and ran among the congregation, for already the plague had begun among the people; and he put in the incense, and made an atonement for the people. ⁴⁸ And he stood between the dead and the living, and the plague ceased. ⁴⁹ And those that died in the plague were fourteen thousand seven hundred, besides those that died on account of Korah.

¹⁶ And the angel of the Lord stretched out His hand against Jerusalem to destroy it, and the Lord relented of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough now, withhold your hand. And the angel of the Lord was by the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.

¹⁵ And God sent an angel to Jerusalem to destroy it. And as he was destroying, the Lord saw, and relented of the disaster, and said to the angel that was destroying, Let it suffice; withhold your hand. And the angel of the Lord stood by the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

²¹ And the Lord sent an angel, and He destroyed every mighty man and warrior, and leader and captain in the camp of the king of Assyria; and he returned with shame of face to his own land and came into the house of his god. And some of his own offspring killed him with the sword.

²⁵ And they murmured in their tents; they hearkened not to the voice of the Lord.

³⁹ The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. ⁴⁰ Therefore just as the tares are gathered and burned with fire, thus it will be at the end of this age. ⁴¹ The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who work iniquity, ⁴² and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

²³ Then immediately an angel of the Lord struck him, because he did not give glory to God. And becoming eaten by worms, he died.

¹⁴ Do all things without grumbling and disputing,

⁷ and to give you who are being afflicted rest along with us at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with His mighty angels, ⁸ in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

²⁸ By faith he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of the blood, lest he who destroyed the firstborn should touch them.

¹⁶ These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaks puffed up words, flattering people to gain advantage.

¹ Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, "Go and pour out the seven bowls of the wrath of God on the earth."
