⁷ And David took first the hold of Sion: this is the city of David.

¹ And it came to pass when Solomon had finished building the house of the Lord and his own house after twenty years, then king Solomon assembled all the elders of Israel in Sion, to bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the city of David, this is Sion,

⁷ And David dwelt in the strong hold; therefore he called it the city of David.

² Then Solomon assembled all the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, even the leaders of the families of the children of Israel, to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the city of David, — this is Sion.

¹⁶ And they buried him with the kings in the city of David, because he had dealt well with Israel, and with God and his house.

⁶ But I have been made king by him on Sion his holy mountain,
