¹⁴ I thank God that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius,

⁸ Crispus, the synagogue leader, and his whole household believed in the Lord. And many of the Corinthians who heard the message believed and were baptized.

²³ Gaius, who has hosted me and all the church, sends you greetings. Erastus, the city treasurer, sends you greetings, as does our brother Quartus.

⁴ I always thank my God for you because of the grace He has given you in Christ Jesus.

¹⁸ I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you.

¹⁴ But thanks be to God, who always leads us triumphantly as captives in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of Him.

¹ The elder, To the beloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth: ² Beloved, I pray that in every way you may prosper and enjoy good health, as your soul also prospers. ³ For I was overjoyed when the brothers came and testified about your devotion to the truth, in which you continue to walk. ⁴ I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
